Myah* the the nurse...I have been dealing with chronic pain, pain managment, pharmacies, and doctors offices staffs for about 5 years now, and Dr. Nasser and his staff "is second to none" truly the best, they have been my care provider since Aug 2016. Behind every great physician is a greater staff, Myah the call nurse is the saint that handles issues that patients may have outside regular scheduled appointments. While being on suboxone I have had several occasions where I had issues with refills I.e needed prior approvals, needed early refill due to fear of running out while on travel, ive had issues with my insurance, and several times I procrastinated making my follow up Appointments that would put me in jeopardy of running out of my medication before I could be seen. And every time I called on her for help she has always responded back within the hour or at the next business day at the latest with good news... If you have an opioid dependency on or have ever been on an opioid medication then you can understand the anxiety that you experience when running out of meds when you are on vacation or when on travel for work. But unlike my past experiences of being treated like a junkie and getting the run around; Myah has always Quickly responded to my requests and made very effort to reslove the issue and get answers even when it was my neglegence that put me in some of my uncomfortable situations. She should be recognized for her ability and competence in medicine, and her professional conduct she always displays towards patients, treating us with dignity and respect. I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Dr. Nasser and Dr. Pena at Antelope Valley Orthopedic & Rehabilitation Specialists (AVORS). After 25 years of constant suffering, they gave me my life back. Once again, I can enjoy family, friends, and the richness of life. For over 25 years I endured moderate to severe pain, paralysis and crushing muscles spasms. Spasms strong enough to halt my breathing and break bones. Depression and anxiety also came along for the ride. A congenital birth defect led to 12 spinal surgeries followed by 6 shoulder surgeries from falling all the time. No one could to get to root of the problem, and so I suffered day after day night after night for over 2 decades. Overs the years I probably saw 6 different pain management groups. Some good, some not so good. Their staff, they were helpful - sometimes. The common denominator, they never seemed to have enough. I think the Doctors at AVORS listen. I mean really listen. For me, they did the right treatment at the right time. All doctors have similar training. It is how they practice it that makes the difference. However, ultimately it is the patient's responsibility to follow through and listen to their doctor. Loose weight, cut back on sugar, exercise etc. I am extremely fortunate to have Dr. Thomas and Dr. Pena as my pain management doctors. I relocated from NYC a year ago to Los Angeles CA, and recently purchased a home in Ridgecrest CA. Since, I arrived on the West coast it was a struggle to secure the quality of overall health care I was receiving in New York City for the past 55 years. Let me first tell everyone, I have been going to Avors Medical Group for several years now. For different reasons I have seen so many of their excellent Dr.s. The staff and Dr's at AVORS are all as professional as they are kind, helpful, and non judgemental! They all truly care about us! Dr. Thomas Nasser is my main Dr. there for pain management. I've also seen Justin Heller, for various reasons. Dr. Shafer for Surgery after an auto accident. Also, their therapist for massages and Dr. Smith for chiropractic treatment. I would give each and every person I've seen, or has given me any kind of treatment or service for any reason, my gratitude and thanks from the bottom of my heart! With so many people out for the all mighty dollars, I can honestly say, in my personal opinion each and every person, I've seen here are more concerned about the patients then the money, and they all deserve the monies they make!!! Avore's doctors do a good job. Today im on the road to recovery, light years from where i was and on 1/1000 of the pain meds i use to be on! It was a pleasure to have my hand surgery done by Dr. Heller and his staff. Every time I come to AVORS, the nurses and medical staff are very professional and welcoming. I really like following up with my doctor so we can review the status of my healing. So far, everything seems to be heaaling normally with only minor residual pain (calcific tendinitis). I have had a series of medical issues over the past year and my doctors have done a fabulous job in my recovery (Dr. Dodanna Krishna-AVH, Dr. Justin Heller-AVORS Embassy, and Dr. Patel-PcP Bartz Altadonna). These doctors have excellent nurses and medical staff to demonstrate how much they care about their patients. I feel so fortunate to have such highly regarded doctors and nurses at the top of their profession. I love the environment at Avors. . The receptionist's are always knowledgeable and efficient. Check-in is quick, and the nurses are always so friendly. The doctors really listen to you and they do everything they can to try and help you. And if you require surgery ,they have a Surgery Center on the third floor! So everything is in one location. They work with your insurance and process most of the paperwork . You don't really have to do anything but just call and make the appointment and just go there. And best of all you can be seen at a reasonable date. Unfortunately, I do have to have surgery Monday but like I said, I don't have far to travel the location as close to my home and all I have to do is go up an elevator! I highly recommend Avor. My surgeon , Dr. Heller and my surgeon coordinator Annette have been such a huge Blessing to me and I would give them a rating of 10! read more

Ok first let me say that the staff at this place are over the top amazing. Second DR Nasser oh my god we're do I start. I started going to avors because I couldn't get answers from the VA. I got a referral to avors. I'm a really picky person when it comes to drs. ( I have had really bad experiences in the past) my first day there DR Nasser walked in and had the biggest smile and the most soothing personality, never in my life have I had a dr that has been so intuitive and listens. I have been going to avors for 7 months now and I have found the best dr I could find it has truly been a blessing. I have answers I have been looking for finally after 5 years of no diagnosis. From Dr. Nasser and Dr. Heller to the staff, every visit has been great. Aside from a billing error my interactions with the front desk have been good. Even with their notes to make me aware of a bill, when I explained the error and me working on the solution, they were never rude and always accommodating. Can't say enough good things about the front desk. I was referred to Dr. Heller a couple of years ago and through his experience and his expertise he's really tried to improve my quality of life. I unfortunately did a lot of damage to myself during my accident that no matter what, there isn't much he can do. Dr. Nasser has been a GOD send with managing my pain. This facility is PATHETIC. RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE DISRESPECTFUL CONSISTENTLY TALKING OVER YOU MOODY RECEPTIONISTS UNWILLING TO LISTEN NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!! The lobby looks like an emergency room as they huddle humans in like cattle only to wait over an hour to see the doctors. All the while they are running from room to room with a physicians assistant doing the dirty work. Only for the doctor to come in for the 15-30 seconds of legality "Dr.'s Appointment" Jeannie the Receptionist is clearly not happy with her job. Simply quit if you don't like talking to people but at least perform in the capacity you were hired for. So sad they actually pay these employees to chase clients away. This office is currently at a 2 star rating on Yelp and working down from here, and that my dear takes work to go from a 2 star to a 1 star rating. read more

I've been going there for a year and I love everything about it. They have all of thedifferent types of doctors under One roof, they have an x-ray facility where instead of going to an outside outfit, they have the X-ray results within a minute so you don't even have to leave your appointment. The doctors are all awesome, they're all able to look up your history if you need to be moved from one specialist to another, and the staff is wonderful as well.​ Not to mention that they have Marla, their physical therapy massagist, in-house as well. If you have TMJ or migraines, she can get rid of them in about two sessions! ... It's all about the muscles and the ligaments in your face and jaw. She was working on my shoulder after an accident, and basically the one shoulder that I was always aching and in pain is now back to normal. read more
