I popped into Postal Masters (under semi recent new ownership) a few doors down where the owner, Omar handled sending out my package quickly and efficiently way faster service then the post office would have been. My package shipping fee ended up being cheaper using FED EX ground then Priority mail an added bonus using Postal Masters to have an option. I have now also dropped off return packages a few times way easier and faster taking them to one place for all shipping needs.

The week before Christmas with lines out the door…read more I waited 45 minutes in line and when I was called forward the clerk asked if I paying with credit or debit. I replied "debit" and she said, "The system is broken, we are taking only cash or checks. Come back with cash." No apology. NOW a sensible manager would ideally post signs on the outer doors advising customers of the issue but NO signs there. NO signs on the counter, NO signs anywhere. The clerk did tell me that they made an "announcement" from time to time for the benefit of customers who are been waiting in line forever. The clerk did turn to the manager who was lounging on the back wall and asked that he post a sign. He smirked and shifted his lounging position. (This is the same useless manager that is always hanging out doing absolutely nothing.) ALL of the holiday packaging was sold out. There was one lone box that had been broken and left in the display. Heaven forbid the manager should restock! He has a nap to take! So I dropped the forty dollars in greeting cards I was going to purchase back in the rack and walked out without them or the four sheets of stamps I had come to buy. I left through the same front door that has been broken and standing open 24 hours a day 7 days a week for at least a year. This post office is a disgrace! ALSO -- the photos of a gleaming facility had to have been taken by an employee after a thorough cleaning which this post office has not seen in MONTHS. The glass doors, the counters, the floors have been perpetually filthy since we have had to start using this post office a year ago BUT they do fall right in line with the never to be repaired broken door!

When you finally reach the window, you're treated like an unwelcome interruption rather than a valued patron paying for service. This kind of apathy and poor customer focus is precisely why the federal government should seriously consider consolidating and reforming its workforce--replacing disengaged employees with people who actually want the job and respect the taxpayers funding it. The U.S. Postal Service, in particular, falls far short of that standard right now. One has to question whether the Postmaster General is truly paying attention or simply asleep at the wheel while service continues to erode, especially at this location.

There were no customers in the store. I did not have the Amazon information handy. I had three items to return. The WIFi was slow and it took time to retrieve the Q codes of the first two items. But, I could not find in the Amazon email the third Qcode. I apologize a few times for not been ready and offered to wait. But instead he was dismissive and spoke rudely to me. I left with my third item since he seem bothered by me. I guess his family did teach him any manners.
