The absolute worst USPS in Charlotte. Very rude staff. I got nothing but attitude when I dropped off my pre-paid packages. The drop box was broken, and I didn't want to leave them where anyone could easily walk out with them. The "lady" at the counter needs to never work in customer service again. read more

This location is always BUSY but I always end up getting in-and-out. I always have to double check on my mail for weight and take my stamps with me just in case I need an extra stamp. Ample parking since this location is within a large shopping center. read more

Quick and super easy, I stopped in today to ship an international package. The clerk was patient, efficient and friendly. "Ki-Ki" helped me find the right envelope, fill it out properly for the United Kingdom, and provide the total amount for shipping. She was excellent. This post office has an automated vending machine for weighing and shipping stuff, accepting cards to pay for stamps. That's awesome. There does not seem to have a drive up lane for dropping off stuff into a mailbox. The parking lot here is a little nuts, so that would be helpful. I dont know why I just recently found this location but I did. Parking was super easy. I was in a hurry, but the line went pretty fast. I had to ship a package internationally and they walked me thru the process. They explained charges and although I was a new customer here, they treated me like we were friends and were very understanding of my concerns. Best of all, my package arrived when they said it would! They also have a self serve kiosk, if you need something pretty simple or after hours. read more

I went in to do a return and asked the lady how she was doing(lighter skin Afro puff ). She informed me that I had to have my box taped up. Mind you it was a small box. I asked if she would be able to tape it and her response was we sell tape for four dollars. I took my package and walked away. Any other USPS, UPS, FEDEX etc I've been too have ALWAYS taped my box for me. I even have an aunt who is a postwomen and she said that the lady was being rude l with the answer she gave me. As I mentioned it is a return and because of my work schedule and the holiday I won't be able to come back until next week! She may have been tired and ready to go. But what she didn't know is I had already worked a 12 hour shift and going to class. Kindness goes a long way, I run a fast food store and wouldn't have been happy with her answer if she was my employee. read more

I genuinely do not know why this post office location has such low reviews. This is a busy location and I do believe they could use more staff to tackle long lines but maybe my understanding of the post office is different because my father has worked for USPS for 30+ years. It seems this is a sweeping concern at all post office locations. Regardless, the staff at the McMullen Creek location are extremely helpful, have always been pleasant, and I think they do a wonderful job. They are quick and very detailed. read more

I'd give them zero stars if it were an option. One clerk on duty at noon, the busiest time of the day. Twelve people in line and no call to the back for a second clerk. I've been here for nearly half an hour and I'm still 4th in line. Of course once I actually make it up to the window I find myself unable to give the clerk my correct box number and she has to go and physically look at it to see what the heck I'm talking about. D'oh! There are so many things wrong with the post office in general and with this branch in particular that even the most patient person finds it difficult to stay calm when waiting in line. Will not be returning. I've been mailing packages for years, so I'm very familiar with the procedure. The staff at my usual PO on South Blvd even notices when I don't stop by for a few weeks. I was closer to this location today, and went in to mail a package overnight. I keep boxes at home so I don't have to pack everything up in the post office. A very nasty woman aggressively tells me I can't mail my package in a priority box if it's going express. And that's bullshit, because I've done it many times. The sizes for express boxes are limited, and I was mailing some heavy items that would not fit in their branded boxes. As a matter of fact, no matter what size package you have, they'll try to up sell to express. The only difference is they'll slap some express tape on the box and use a different form. Her only concern was getting me to purchase one of their boxes, acting like she needed the $3 desperately. I don't need to be coddled like many customers, but cordial should be the default when in a customer facing position. Will not return. read more

This place is horrible. There delivery has never arrived on time or doesn't show up at all or packages all smashed up. People for the love of god just stick with Amazon. THIEVES. I have had a post office box here for over 15 years. I have seen workers and managers come and go. Lately, for the last few years, I've noticed that the gift cards I have been sent from RESTAURANTS never are put in my mailbox. They are stolen by the box clerks. They are easy to identify: they are enclosed in an envelope with the restaurant's letterhead and the hard plastic or cardstock gift cards are easily felt through the paper envelope. Easy to pick out and steal. No repercussions. THUGS! read more

I print my own labels and use the drop off box, so my complaint is only towards this service. Don't even bother trying to drop off packages on a Sunday. Box is either full or jammed every time I go there to drop off packages. I work out of town during the week so Sundays are usually the only chance I get to drop off packages. Fortunately the PO down in Pineville is never full so I can always use them. If this drop box issue is fixed ever, I'll increase my review to 5 stars. read more

All of the the post offices in Charlotte have very nice people working for them, but they must be the most over worked people in the world, as you can not reach any of them to ask a question. They are so far behind in in technology its ridiculous. I have a question concerning my mail and not one office will answer the phone. I've been shipping items from the Charlotte area for 5 years now. This location is consistent about one thing. Unless you hand your mail to the person at the counter, they will never scan your package. It doesn't matter how big or how small it. Every time I put a package in their outgoing box, the package never gets scans. I mean never! It doesn't even get scanned at the local distribution center. It usually gets scanned in the receiver's state. Sadly, this is one of the few Charlotte locations with a "WORKING" slot for bigger packages. Strong emphasis on working. read more
