I have been to many posts offices and I was hesitant coming back to this one. However, the employees, yes more than one person, were really nice to me and to all of the Customers coming through the door. I couldn't believe it! Also, it was around Christmas time which is hectic and stressful. The employees were very pleasant and made my experience to the post office an awesome one.

This is a nice USPS store. Usually not crowded. Service is quick. Also there's a great bar across the street.

Really nice art deco space observed in the exterior and interior of the building. I don't know about the other reviews but I've been going to this PO for years and my experience with the staff has always been nice. The pace has been average, haven't encountered fire or any other life threatening emergency there. It's hard to park during rush hours so plan accordingly.

The absolute WORST postal service on the planet! I'd rather get my mail from pigeons. We after week we get horrible service. 3/4 of the time the Postal worker throws the mail on the porch or at the bottom of the stairs. Even if it's raining !!! I'm constantly missing mail and magazines. My friends sent a wedding invitation , missing! We get rebates from Menards, all of them come up missing. Half our holiday cards from families/friends come up missing . Today, our mail was on the bottom of the stairs and a magazine was on the sidewalk out front. There is a mail slot In our front door and we do not have a fence blocking access to it.

Long line; zero employees present at service counter; 5 minutes and counting. Where are the staff?

Line of 8+ customers w/ 0 employees present and available to help. After 5 minutes of waiting in line, one employee came out to help. Need employees! Also, ‍100% of resident pens absent from their stations...

As she finishes with the customer, she looks at me and informs me that the line starts at the other side of the store. I am the only one in the store. I apologize, and approach the counter. She says "no, walk around"... so I do, and then she shouts "next!", and I then walk to the counter. I state I am here to purchase some stamps. Her response is "cant you read the sign, we dont sell stamps here". Next to her is a piece of paper written in sharpie that says "no stamps". I say oh no! Where can i get some stamps? Her response is "go somewhere else, theres a store on sheffield but theyre closed today". So I asked where I could buy some stamps, to which she replied "not my problem. Next!" As a customer had arrived with a return. As she told this customer she cant ship the package because they have the wrong box, I stood to the side googling where else I could buy stamps. I left after a couple minutes, and did not see the woman working the counter meaningfully contribute to society while I was there. I appreciate that usps allows people like this to remain employed somewhere, but as other reviews show, this is a consistent issue that has been present for years and will likely not be addressed. Do not come here, I'd expect this location to be closed in the near future due to lack of care by its staff and the company that "supports" its staff.

Terrible customer service at this location. The employees I have interacted with are extremely rude…read moreeven when you are friendly and prepared when you get to the counter.

Over the years, I've had some terrible - I repeat, terrible - experiences at my post office branch…read more With that in mind, I'm thrilled to report my 5-star experience today. Walking home after work yesterday, I reached into my purse to mail the RSVP to friends' wedding. Later that evening, finishing up the Spring Wine Stroll at the Book Cellar, I discovered that the RSVP was still there. Only today, at work, did I realize what I'd mailed: a thank-you card from my bosses, filled with cash. Figuring I'd nothing to lose (pun not intended!), I called Ravenswood USPS. Ms. Marcial (sp?) took my information, and I crossed my fingers. Well, within less than 30 min., I had a call that Shay - my carrier - had found my envelope. Even better? She could deliver it directly to my mail box, saving me a Saturday AM trip to the post office. This, people, is great customer service!!!

Well, I was home and nobody rang my buzzer. In fact the USPS worker just signed for it themselves and picked 'left with individual' and dropped it on the ground. What a joke. Month or two before that I had a package sit in sorting for over a month. 2 months total for the international package to arrive. It was a $90 postage fee shipment from the Netherlands. Things I order for $3 from Ali Express arrive sooner. Now I'm waiting for another signature required delivery and filled out the information online to have it redelivered. The redelivery day has passed. So has the day after that. Nothing. No new notice, nothing. They just did not bother attempting a redelivery. Insulting. Very sad to see how far USPS has fallen. Really nothing we can even do apparently. Just pay your taxes and be happy with terrible service.

All mail must be picked up in 10 days or they'll be sent back to the deliverer. You can pick up your mail during 8AM-5PM M-F or 8AM-2PM on Saturday. *Insert eye roll emoji* If you miss one chance to pick it up that Saturday, then you're forced to go during the hours that everyone works and can't possibly get there in time unless you have to go to work later or something. I came to the station, give my ID, and was told I needed a piece of mail with my address on it. Luckily I had a piece of mail with me or I would have been pissed and shiz out of luck. This was ridiculous since there was no where on the first notice that stated you had to bring something with your name AND address on it. Plus, they won't even let you pick up mail for your roommates. I DON'T SEE WHY NOT SINCE IT'S THE SAME DAMN ADDRESS. LIKE. WTF. If you had delivered it, I'd have access to it just the same. Their rules and policies are ridiculous. The person who helped me took 10 minutes to even find my 2 pieces of mail, and even went back to me once and said I didn't have anything. *Eyeroll
