The manager maybe? Not even sure. But the female staff member was extremely rude and not helpful at all. My husband was attempting to ship pro gear to our overseas post because the movers the military hired refused to ship it. We were quoted over $2000 at FedEx for one very large box, so we figured we'd try USPS. As soon as she even saw the box she said "uh-uh." We asked her to elaborate and she went on about how we were crazy to think anyone would be willing to mail something so big, regardless of the reasoning why. We asked if we could mail it through USPS if we got it to fit into smaller boxes and she said yes, but she wouldn't recommend USPS's boxes because they'd fall apart and there's no way they would hold up. We asked if she was implying we needed to to find boxes elsewhere (she already explained that they would not accept FedEx boxes even if they were small enough, despite them being durable enough) and she was rude with her response. She continued to be rude and was no help at all. We told her we'd just figure it out somewhere else then, and she proceeded to trash talk us and call us crazy to the other service members waiting in line. Ridiculous. Thanks for nothing. read more

Chris is exceptionally rude every time I go to this post office. She cannot make transactions and talk for the life of her. She is always making rude comments and talking down to customers when they need assistance. I would rather wait for Henry to assist me than to have Chris and her slow and complacent work ethics or lack there of. I've been to this Post office multiple times because of convenience and there has not been one time that I've been there where Chris wasn't giving a customer a hard time. This post office is located on a military base It seems like every time I come to this specific location they are always out of supplies, and when you ask for flat rate boxes in the large size they seem to always refer you to online so that you can order it and have it mailed to your house I get it having mailed is easier but not faster when you need a large size box to mail your loved one care packages from home when there stationed overseas, and for some odd reason and maybe it's just me but they the employees here want to do the bare minimum when it comes to helping you out or even checking to even see if they have these supplies on hand and not only that I know that I'm not the only person who has come to this post office and been referred to online to order supplies "SMH" Oh need I not forget that we moved here in August of last year and Our mail keeps getting returned for some odd reason but I have brought it up to the supervisor who was in charge on several occasions well at least when mail does get returned it only says left no forwarding address instead of DECEASED you gotta have a little humor about this whole situation read more

One of the most worthless post offices. So many issues with the mail carriers. If I get a package that is too big for the mail box, they come down to my house and leave a note that they "attempted" to deliver it, without actually attempting to wait for us to answer the door. They do not ring the door bell, they do not knock, they just leave the note. I've had this happen too many times for it to just be an accident. Unfortunately we cannot choose the government service as it delivers our mail, but the least they could is actually perform their job. read more

I love this post office. The staff is always friendly and they are ALWAYS trying to save everyone money. They'll tell you if it's ten cents cheaper to put in a flat rate box, or if going first class will save you $5.00 and just add an extra day. When I have my kids with me they're always super sweet to them and offer them suckers. My kids always ask to go to the post office with the suckers. I don't know why there's so many negative reviews, it's truly one of the friendliest post offices I've been too. Customer service is important on my list - so I give it five stars. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Today I went here and the First Lady I got was nice she helped me fix my form and sent me to the other lady. This lady told me she could not accept my form because she couldn't read it. I was then told it must be in English print which it was. She told me I could have whoever wrote on my box do the form. I explained I have mailed packages before and she told me to rewrite it I told her I'm disabled and that is my normal writing. She said she could not help me and another gentleman offered to help then she said she could. The entire time she continued to make fun of my handwriting while also asking me to spell pecan and several other words for her. At least 15 times she said something in regards to my hand writing. Biggest issue if you're disabled don't go here or she will make fun of you. read more

I'm currently stressed out do to the incompetence to this postal office. I'm a Soldier On JBLM, my mother shipped me a package to this very address, I came to retrieve it from it's location and was told that it was giving to military PO, so now I'm literally on a wild goose chase stressing out that I may never find my package because it was carelessly handed off without any communication or concern for the proper Recipient. & the man at the dressed, smiled and looked at me when he said "Your Military PO needs to do there job". Chris one other the clerks, is very helpful and offering advice on saving money on my postage and making sure that my packages are properly adequately packaged for shipping. This is definitely the worst post office I've ever been to. I had better service in the Ghetto, and this is facts. They are rude as hell. The women act as if they are on their periods 24/7. I didn't even know it was possible to be this rude. Like why don't they just retire or find a job they enjoy. We paid for a P.O. Box and went in to ask about filling out the final paperwork to start using it since we're in the hotel and have no forwarding address after PCSing. The First Lady was nice and helpful with another customer in front of us and tried to tell us that we had to wait outside, but kept getting cut off by the customer, so we didn't get a chance to wait outside before it was our turn (I don't fault them for that because there was miscommunication). What happened after that is where I became extremely annoyed, and I see why after reading some of these reviews, because this other lady who acted like the boss came out with an attitude, talking down to the nice lady originally helping us because she didn't tell us to wait outside. We explained to her it wasn't her fault, but she kept going, then when we asked about the forms for our P.O. Box, the "boss" told us we need to print them ourselves (where ?) then bring them all back with multiple forms of ID and orders, so we thanked them and left to do so. When my husband came back after going out of his way to find out how to get all that printed, they told him they couldn't process it because their internet isn't working! They could've told us this morning when we originally asked! They already explained their internet was down, which is why they only accepted cash today, but never once did the "boss" tell us not to come back today because of the internet issue. She made it seem like we could process the paperwork and use our P.O. Box we already paid for today! A waste of time and horrible customer service from one of the two workers today. Whichever lady was newer to this post office, is a total sweetheart who tries to be as helpful as possible; the other shouldn't be dealing with customers if she's going to be rude and give misleading information. read more

I like using this location because it has an Automated Postal Center, which comes in handy if the station is busy. Since this location is on JBLM, it can be busy at various times and they handle a lot of APO shipments. The hours of operation are convenient, though. They are also open on Saturday. If you're visiting this location early in the morning, there is usually only one clerk working which can result in a wait if everyone decides to come in on their way to work. This is when the Automated Postal Center is helpful, unless you're mailing something that requires a clerk's assistance such as Media Mail or International mail. Parking is ample and they have drive-up mail collection. If you're looking to rent a mailbox, this station offers pricing comparable to the Lacey branch but is a bit higher than the nearby DuPont station. read more

I am currently waiting for my mailbox to be replaced because something mysteriously happened to the one that was here already that she can't give me an answer about. I entered this post office at 4:58pm one day with the intention of mailing my husband in Kuwait some care packages. I know I was cutting it very close. That was my fault. I was busy at work and leaving early is never easy. The clerk informed me that I was the last customer. Then when she noticed the boxes were going to an APO address she got a grim look on her face and asked me if I'd filled out the customs forms. I said no. She then told me that the forms take a long time to fill out, that she couldn't help me, but that I could go to the Lakewood Post Office which is open until 6pm. I understand that it would have been absolute hell for this postal clerk to stick around 5 extra minutes while I quickly filled out the forms. But it might surprise her that while driving 8 miles to the Lakewood Post Office was a great idea to her, it didn't sound so good to me. I also like how if I had been trying to ship boxes to my MeeMaw in Kansas or wherever, she would have been glad to help. But shipping boxes to a Soldier who's deployed? Take a hike! What a weird attitude for a post office on a military installation. This staff needs customer service classes (first lesson: it's not about YOU). Otherwise people are going to keep steadily migrating over to FedEx and UPS like they have been for decades. read more

This post office is AWFUL! The customer service is terrible and slow. I went there because my tracking number says my package was delivered and I never received it,instead of seeing who was on the route that day and tracking it on their end, the woman at the desk told me "Contact who you ordered it from to see if they can refund you your money" everyone knows once it says " Delivered" .The person who sent it is not responsible so now I'm out of $70!!!!!. I avoid this post office if I can. The service is incredibly slow,, even when there's a long line. I can honestly say that I have never been here without some kind of issue. I was relocating for an overseas mission. To be honest I have been deployed to the sandbox and other locations overseas for the last ten years. I would like to say that one of counter personnel (Lionel) was a GREAT help he assisted me with shipping my personal belongings. He was polite and Very Friendly. The following day I went back to ship more of my belongings. The customer service rep (Chris) was rude and even interrupted the customer service rep I was speaking with. (Chris) very determined to make sure that I didn't ship any packages. Chris made it as difficult as possible for me to ship my belongings. She seemed to be exhilarated (Power Trip) to be able to tell me that I wasn't able to ship my belongings. Instead of assisting me with shipping my packages she kept giving me excuses to why I would not be able to ship my packages. Mind you these are the same belongings I have shipped through the USPS for the last ten years. The real point of interest is I hadn't even opened my packages for inspection. I would suggest to this particular post office to send her to customer service classes and then relocate her. In frustration I finally left the Ft. Lewis post office without shipping my packages. read more
