What a disappointment. I'm stranded with no transportation at the moment and called about how to get my mail picked up. Spoke with a very nice gentleman and he told me to put mail in my condo mail box with a note (we have no outgoing mail box) and hears him make a phone call to the carrier on Wednesday. Checked box today and request WAS TOTALLY IGNORED! Now I have to figure out how to get my mail. And yes particular mail does not do internet. Note was large and highlighted in orange. I don't write much about government offices. Outside of the passport office in Westwood and the post office in Brea, what's there to say? Well, this little gem of a location located off La Habra Blvd next to City Hall is a great little post office. It's really small and quaint, but the patrons are nice and the postal staff even better. The line moves at a post office pace, which means some customers, like me, have their stuff together and get in and out, and others have absolutely no idea how to mail anything and take upwards of 10 minutes arguing with the postal worker. For me, I was mailing back a broken Galaxy zFold 3 with a preprinted label. I needed proof of mailing and tracking. I took maybe 40 seconds from start to finish. I got the requisite happy holidays to which I replied Merry Christmas. I smiled, turned around to leave and at least 3 other customers waiting in line greeted me, "Merry Christmas." In and out in about 40 seconds and holiday greetings to boot. For a small post office, they have my stamp of approval. And they did it first class. Two post office puns?! This is literally the least painful in person passport renewal that I have ever done: 1) you need to make a appointment online 2) you need to bring your current or most recently expired passport. BRING a photocopy of that passport also! 3) bring checkbook 3) bring birth certificate. Bring photocopy of birth certificate also! 4) bring school ID/driver's license. Bring photocopy of school ID/driver's license also! 5) bring any extra identification items that you might need along with photocopies of those items. We were lucky that we did not need anything else; but who knows what each individual person might need depending on your particular situation. Better to bring extra than needing to return home and go back to finish passport process. read more

Had my passport renewed here. Booked an appointment 2 days in advance during the weekend. Came in on a Monday after and only two people was in line. Fast and speedy service. The lady was nice and patient enough explaining everything to me while managing and service the rest of the customer. I had a great experience. read more

I came in this afternoon 12/16 around 1 something. I came to drop off my gift for the Operation Santa that the USPS is participating in. I came in with all the paperwork and barcode the USPS sent me. For starters this Grinch of a lady seemed rude right off the bat. I gave her the QR code that the USPS sent directly to me to show to the associate. At first she asked for to see a page where it said it was from the USPS. If you look at the picture, it says USPS on it right above the barcode and the website at the top. I still had to pull up the package they sent via email to prove it to her. Then she said I needed a different bar code and that they don't use those kinds. After showing her that's all that was sent she scanned it while saying snotty "well I guess we will try" and it scanned and brought up a list. She kept asking for more information. This is a confidential program! All the info I had was everything I was showing her. She seemed frustrated with me. I don't understand how, it's literally your job to do this and you have no idea. I kept asking her if she could ask for some assistance from someone or if I could talk to anyone else and she kept refusing me and saying "no, there is no one that can help you with that. You can go to the main office but the line is longer than this one so good luck with that" I walked out in tears because I was so frustrated, she was rude, and scolding me in front of a line of people because she had too much pride to ask for help! I went to the USPS off whitwood and like this lady, she didn't know how to do it, but asked for help and they showed her how. The problem was there was a "operation santa function" on the computer that they needed to click before scanning. Ended up getting it sent out. But still so damn upset with how This horrible evil lady treated me. I'm literally trying to do something nice for a child and she was so damn rude. read more

If you wanted to have a favorite Post Office, this would be the one! I live in LB and my parents live in La Habra. Sometimes I hold my mailing things for almost a week if I know that I can get it taken care of at this post office rather than elsewhere. Gwen who works here, is literally one of the nicest and most-patient people I have ever met. And this is someone who deals with demanding and irate jerks all day. She always speaks calmly and deliberately. I also watched her help an old man with his passport papers. He requested a form and she filled out part of the info for him so that there was no confusion once he got home. Most people would have just thrown it in his face and screamed "NEXT!" Aside from the staff, the post office is also always clean and orderly. There is not trash all over the place and the packaging materials are in the right slots. Only downside is that this location does not have an automated machine so if you only want to buy one stamp, it can sometimes be a wait. read more

Package was send on 12/21/2023. Tracking # 9405830109355054167481. Today date is 01/09/2024. 20 days went by with no sign of the package. Who is USPS going to blame? The weather? The truck broke down? My Fed ex and UPS packages were delivered long time ago. According to the tracking number the package was still in transit since 12/21/2023. I contacted the Supervisor at thePost Office on Chicago Avenue in Riverside, California. She was not sure what happened to the package and to please call her back again. Very dissappointed indeed. Was planning to leave on a trip today but my package said out for delivery estimated 1:30 so I figured I'd leave after it came instead of asking my neighbor to look out for it. Then it updated to 2, then 2:30 then 2:30-4:30 and I figured I might as well just wait then at 4:30 still nothing and it updated 4:30-6:30. Guess what package never came. Update: it was too late to leave for my trip since it's a 6 hour drive so I waited outside because it updated saying 7:15 pm delivery and then at 7:23 I received an update saying the address was not deliverable and literally no one came. read more

Last week, I accompanied my daughter to the Brea post office to mail a package and they had complimentary packing tape. Wednesday, I went to mail a small package and thought I'd try our new post office. It was neat, I parked easily, and empty inside! No lines which is unheard of! However, I needed a few strips of packing tape and none was available. I asked the clerk if Any was available. I was told by the nice clerk that they don't have any and I would have to purchase a roll of tape. They also shared that the postmaster of this office will remove tape left on the counters! Well, I was very disappointed because I only needed two strips. Whatever happened to customer service, providing a service, and being helpful? read more

I am a small business owner who utilized this post office for 4 years for business. it's not always easy dealing with the post office when you're in business and ship packages daily but thank god Ive always used this post office, my mom did too since I was born! This is truly a unique team of women at this post office. They are the most pleasant and attentive team mates I've ever seen at any USPS location!! They smile, go the extra mile to get your mail, and literally remember your faces and PO box numbers. My heart is broken that I won't be coming here anymore (moved to long beach) because my experience anywhere else has been TERRIBLE! Juanita, Gwen, and the other beautiful woman (who's name I can't remember, sorry) I love you ladies and when that cheerful man was working there (who recently retired) he ALWAYS had a smile and joke waiting for all of us community customers.
