The customer service I received at this location was absolutely appalling and completely unacceptable. I came in with an official USPS Label Broker QR code for a Priority Mail label that had already been purchased and paid for through USPS Click-N-Ship. The "Print Later at Post Office" option had been selected specifically so that an employee could scan the code and print the prepaid label. The staff repeatedly refused even to scan the QR code and incorrectly insisted that I needed to pay again. I calmly explained several times that everything had already been paid for online, but they were dismissive, ignored what I was saying, and refused to perform this basic service. I asked for a supervisor or manager and was told that no one was available. After several minutes of being ignored and dismissed, I had to raise my voice simply to get someone to listen and scan the code. When an employee finally scanned it, the code worked immediately--exactly as I had explained from the beginning. This was an awful and needlessly stressful experience. The employees appeared completely unfamiliar with their own USPS Click-N-Ship and Label Broker services and showed no willingness to listen or help. Staff at this location urgently need proper training and significantly better customer-service standards. No customer should have to argue and demand assistance simply to receive a service that has already been paid for read more

Laura, the postal worker who assisted me, went above and beyond the call of duty in assisting me with a package. I thought it was a silly challenge but she walked me through with the big smile on her face the entire time helping ease my PTSD. We have a business and utilize several post offices daily for our shipping needs. The Pompano Beach location is the closest to our business. This location is by far the worst at customer service! The workers are very disrespectful and seem to make a conscious effort to discourage customers from coming back. Even the package dropoff box is very small and fills up very quickly. The workers have said that they are happy with the small dropoff box because having the large dropoff bins that were out previously made their job alot harder. This location needs a total revamp from the top down!! read more

I don't write reviews on places like governmental agencies because there is usually nothing good to write about it. But after paying a visit to this post office, I felt like maybe its time to start. Most post offices I've been to are crowded, not to mention long lines and wait time. The staff working behind the counter seemed they didn't care about what they did. They worked slow, took out the "next window please" sign when the line got long, and the station they worked on seemed disorganized. But when I first walked into this location, even with two staff working on the station, the line was moving pretty quickly. The staff was courteous, helpful, and worked efficiently to get the line moving. I dropped off my box, bought two rolls of stamps, and was able to walk out of the station within 10 minutes. If I ever had to drop anything off by the post office again, this will be on the top of my list. read more

Some packages for the family,( spread across the state, upper East New England coast and Pacific Northwest), to be mailed today. Yes, there was a line extending to the outside. One observation was, the Supervisor came to the lobby to make a few customers standing in line in the a/c, ( they were social Distancing at least 6 feet), back outside because there were no more blue Distancing markers inside where they were standing. The same supervisor came out periodically to push people out because all the blue dots were occupied... I wasn't one of those people. Once inside, I made sure to keep both feet on the eight inch diameter blue Distancing markers until my turn at the postage window. The ladies at the postage windows were polite to each of their customers and apologized for the wait. This post office is pretty decent. It's close by, convenient, and relatively new so it's still in pretty good shape, considering. It's large inside. They have extensive banks of mailboxes, and an area for self service machines, and lots of supplies -- both free and to be purchased. They usually have at least three people working to assist you. There is a line to wait in and it moves fairly fast. If someone doesn't have the right form, they allow you to redo it, then approach the window again so you don't have to wait in line all over again. And if it gets busy, a supervisor will ask if anyone has a pickup only and pull those people out of the line to facilitate faster service. Right now, during corona, they want people to stand apart (social distancing) while waiting in line, and most everyone is complying by wearing a protective mask. Although one lady had on a mask covering her mouth but not her nose... They also have a drive through mailbox lane to drop off letters to be mailed, but it is worth it to walk your already stamped envelopes inside the building as it is faster and safer. read more

I had a really bad experience yesterday with TIFFANY, I can honestly say I have never met someone so rude . She was very sarcastic, not helpful . If I didn't finish the green certified card before she finished my last package she was gonna make me get back in-line when I would have had it finished if their supplies were full. She asked me if I could hit the print button or did I need her help, I ask her to stop being mean but she continued to belittle me and had customers Inlaw me laughing at me. She refused to let me talk to a manger so I went online and did a survey and went a step further to report her to the post master general. 9/28/2020 Every time I stop by USPS, I am very impressed with the excellent customer service and kindness shown to my wife and I. Jerry is a great guy, and another young lady, Clerk 12, was also very helpful and did a nice job. Recently, we had our fantastic Carrier, DeLois, retire and she was replaced with Chantelle, who is very nice and amiable. Chantelle works out of this west Atlantic office. I came here because my package was delivered to the wrong location. when I arrived and gave the tracking number, I don't know if the gentleman was being LAZY or was just uninformed of how to do his job but he sent me to another USPS location claiming they would know where my package wa. I have just confirmed multiple times with the 1800 number that my package was taken to this location in pompano. why is it so hard for people to just do their job? Honestly, I would've rather someone with an attitude but educated on their job than being sent to THE WRONG location 30 minutes away. this was around 1pm-2pm today. waste of time and I don't even want to go back out of fear of having another uninformed individual working the front. how do I track my package that was delivered to the wrong place of the location that delivered it won't help me? read more

Is an ok post office . The people that always helped me had been nice except for one of the supervisors . That lady is not nice to anyone. I am scared to ask her anything .. Also I paid for a whole year in of their boxes but change my address and they close it even though I had a months left . I was panning to use for some stuff . This branch is much better than the one near my house. My favorite update that the post office has made is the self service kiosk. It saves so much time. You can mail a box, a large envelope. or buy postage. Unfortunately the kiosk by my house is out of order 90 percent of the time. I have never experienced it not working at the Pompano branch. Even if I do have to wait in line it usually moves pretty quickly. In addition there is a large parking lot out front which provides plenty of room for parking. Even though this branch is a short drive from me it is still better that trying to deal with the Margate location. read more

I saw some good and bad reviews about this post office located in zip code 33069 which is the closes USPS I an find to 33066. I'm waiting for a package that was picked up 2 days ago by USPS from a vendor and my package ended up at the USPS in zip code 33066 (according to informed delivery) but I can not find a USPS in 33066 so either informed delivery has the wrong zip code or a new USPS is in zip 33066 and the website has not been updated....anyways my package arrived that location 2 days ago and has not been scanned out of their building heading my direction, by the way I only live 60 miles south of this post office. So apparently the workers there are not doing their job properly by scanning the items out of their location or the item is just sitting in the arrival room not being touched. read more

I give this postal store five stars! Yes it's a five Star CIRCUS! First the lies! A lady named Angela pics up the phone claiming she is the supervisor! lied she was not! I went to the store and spoke to her and she says hold on let me call the supervisor. Anyway they lost my sons medication!! Telling me it was delivered at 11:40 am on 11/2/15! Bull! The post office is never a fun experience in South Florida. I'd rather see my dentist than mail a package. I gotta say though, this place wasn't as horrible as the reviews. The line, albeit long, moved rather quickly. You know, as quickly as a line ten people deep with 1 cashier can move. The postal worker was at least nice and said thank you. That's really all I ask of them. If I can leave without getting yelled out by them for not using the right type of tape on the package I just sold off of eBay then I'm good to go. Worst post office experience. I've attempted to call this post office and asked to speak with the postmaster /station manager regarding a issue with an expensive package. A rude black woman answered with a very disgusting attitude and then promptly hung up on me when I asked to speak with the postmaster/station manager. I've now filed a complaint with USPS Head Postmaster General's office(which took hours to reach anyone) against the rude black woman who hung up and refused to help. The people running this place are obviously shady and unethical I've also sent Postmaster General office links to this page. Hopefully something is done about this location. read more

This post office is atrocious on it's best day and the Postmistress is rude and you would think that she was God the way she behaves. No wonder the Postal Service is going out of business. With customer "service" like there is available at this post office, I would expect that this branch should be retrained, redecorated, re-evaluated, or just plain closed down and a new staff hired!! I did, however, speak with a woman named Cindy today about an issue and she was extremely pleasant and helpful. Now the true test will be if what I asked for actually takes place. Call me old fashioned but I enjoy coming to the post office. I am one of the rarities that buy stamps one at a time when I have a letter to mail out. This location is always pretty slow I walked in got my stand and walked out within 3 minutes. I always enjoy buying the stamps that help the animal societies. read more

I don't know if this is for every USPS, but there was a line and I am trying to get to work. So I stood in line and started filling out my envelope and I was asked to do it on the side.......thanks. Then, at the postal service desk, clearly did not get the hint that I've never sent anything through USPS before. Took my mail and packaged it up for me without asking me and I had things in my original envelope that I had to take out. So we had to reopen what she packaged. Then she goes on to my big box and kind of condescendingly asks, "where's the label?" Then I finally expressed to her that I've never sent anything through USPS before! Then she hands me a label and tells me to step aside and fill it out and come back. I turn around and there's 7 people in line. Awesome. Depending on the time, the wait time can take foreverrrrrrrr and the line can go all the way to the entrance door. But when I came in today, surprisingly there was no one waiting in line. There was only one staff available. I guess i got lucky because as I waited to get called up next, a minute later a whole bunch of customers came in. Whew =) Its nice and cold in here. First time the phone was picked up and hung up, second time someone said something inaudible and then quickly placed me on hold, third time they said nothing and placed me on hold, fourth time it just rang and rang, fifth time, they picked up and hung up again. Despite the fact that my package wasn't found exactly when I went in, they treated me very well and were willing to help so it wasn't a bad experience at all. I moved in with a friend of mine in February 2010. I did a change of address and I notified my friends and businesses of my new address. However I still was not getting mail. A friend of mine sent me the same letter three different times. All three times the letter was returned to sender. I confirmed with my friend that the address he used was correct, letter by letter, number by number. I went down to this post office to find out what was going on. My postal carrier was returning my mail just because my name was not on the inside of my mail box. No one let me know this before they returned all of my mail to sender. What crappy customer service! This may be a new policy or just a policy of this post office. However, I have lived in six different states and even another time in South Florida. I never had to put my name on the inside of the mail box to get my postal carrier to do his job before. The USPS is hurting for business. Why would this post office want to piss off their customers? A few months later I was in the lobby of my building when I overheard my mail carrier talking to some other people about the same problem I had. He seemed happy to be returning customers' mail to sender and pissing us off. What's worse is that now my roommate is on vacation and has requested his mail to be held until he gets back. The mail was held for about a week and I saw a confirmation notice in the mailbox stating the dates to have his mail held. But now suddenly, his mail is being delivered again a week before he gets back. I went to this post office yesterday and complained. But today the mail carrier still delivered my roommate's mail. He is such a moron. This is the worst post office I have ever encountered. It is horribly mismanaged. The people who work there just don't care at all about their customers. read more
