THESE MOTHER F****** I've been calling for 20 minutes with no answer at 2-2:30pm. They misplaced my package and listed it as "delivered". Maybe the driver was high and put my package in the wrong spot and said f*** it good enough. This is the third time this has happened. Get your shit together! The temple terrace usps Is the true definition of CORRUPTION. I've been living in the same apartment for close to 9 months now, the same week I notified the rent office that I would he receiving checks was the same week usps all of a sudden left a " no name no mail " paper in my mailbox. Informed delivery showed me that I was going to receive my first 2 checks on 12/10, I paid my aunt to drive way over here ( 30 minutes drive) to check my mailbox and when she returned there was no mail in there , there was the sudden " no name no mail " paper. Also that same day I received a payment notification from the rent office saying that they received the payment in a form of a check. Mind you, these checks are made out to me and my address , not the rent office. But the corrupt usps mail person decided to misdeliver my mail on purpose. On 12/12 I filled out the " no name no mail paper and left it hanging out my mailbox. Temple terrace usps finally called me on 12/13 and he stated that I had to close the mailbox usps doesn't have the ability to close the boxes from the front , I said ok and Informed him that Informed delivery showed I was supposed to be receiving another check in the mail that same day in addition to my car registration that I had just paid to renew. He stated ok and said that they would deliver my mail on 12/14. 12/ 20 , I went back out to retrieve my checks and car insurance from the mailbox but of course it wasn't there !!! I received a insurance paper for myself and letters for Other People who do not live here. I started creating missing mail search tickets for them to find and deliver my mail , they continously closed out my tickets saying " resident left mailbox open or previous resident allowed mail to be delivered to rent office if the mailbox is open." LIES. 1. you gave me a " no name no mail " paper which means you do NOT know who lives here so NONE of my mail should have been delivered to the rent office , on top of that the rent office can tell u who lives here , so there's proof you misdelivered my first check on purpose. Now where's the other 2 checks???? 2. my mailbox is NOT open, I received mail for myself and OTHER people who do not live here so what was the reason for the ' no name no mail " paper if you're still delivering mail to me for people who don't live ??? 3. You are responsible for correctly delivering my mail, the rent office Is saying they do NOT have any mail addressed to me but everytime I create a ticket with usps for my missing mail you say that you delivered it to the rent office which is unacceptable and possibly a LIE. They get less than one rating. This place is hot garbage. First they deliver my mail to the wrong box or lose my mail important mail like bank cards. Which I suspect someone going through my mail and confiscating what seems to them to be valuable mail pieces. I ordered something and put the address I always use, however because the letter carrier refuses to think past one nano second to figure something out especially if it has the name of the person the building number and the apt number with the zip code. The letter carrier reports the package as "the recipient's address has been identified as insufficient. Tampa, FL, US" instead of doing do diligence he/she returns the package. So what do I do next increase my insane moment dealing with usps by calling. Needless to say No one answered the phone after calling for 20 mins. I'm done next time I'll request the sender use UPS or FedEx. read more

One of the worst post offices I have ever been to. I accidentally taped my package with priority mail. Yea that was kind of dumb but what actually ruined my time here was the fact that when I told him I'll take the tape off and retake the label on, I asked him for tape. This place is awful. Most people don't go to the post office expecting a good time... but really, this one takes the cake for bad service and inefficiency. I'm not sure whether it was the fact that one employee decided to take her break just as the line started pouring out the door... or the other employee who decided to give me a hard time after I asked to take my original place back in line after already waiting ten minutes and agreeing to let someone go in front of me at the counter while I wrote an address on my box. My main qualm: After finally making it to the counter, the male clerk asked for ID for my $5.60 charge, which was fine and expected. He then, however, began to lecture me about how I still needed to physically sign the credit card with my name, not just "See ID." I just stared at him. I've never once had a problem with that nor do I even think he is correct. On this afternoon, there were over a dozen new people waiting who already despised me for getting back in line 3 minutes ago. When I didn't respond verbally, the clerk repeated himself in a very condescending manner and asked if I understood what he was telling me about credit cards. Are you serious? This had nothing to do with shipping a flat rate envelope home for Valentine's Day. Nothing. "I heard you." Yep, that was my response. I'm rarely purposely rude to people, and it takes a lot for me to not be nice. But lecturing someone in an effort to exercise your authority, in front of a line that's getting six people longer every minute is not acceptable! When he realized he wasn't going to win with me and finally gave me back my card, I hightailed it out of there. I am so done going to this branch. I'd much rather deal with the emotionless lack of customer service at UPS down the street than the disgrunted government employees at USPS who take out their job frustrations on the customers. I will never understand why people in certain not so powerful positions try to do this power play with others. Customer service jobs should demand good customer service. If you want to teach people about credit cards go work at the bank. Save your sanity and go somewhere else. read more

This post office has a full automated machine for you to ship packages within a certain size/weight range. I like that because it means if I need to send something to my family I don't need to wait around in line forever. Lobby was free of litter. Parking situation is a bit odd as there isn't a "lot" so much as there is parking on either side of a street that connects a residential neighborhood to a strip mall. This post office isn't visible from a main road. I was going to give 4 stars because I love those machines, but then I realized I should probably interact with at least one staff member before giving such a positive rating. read more

I come here when I have no choice but it's kind of rough, parking is a joke, it's ALWAYS packed and busy, and for no apparent reason, I've had a few occasions where my pre-labeled packages have not been scanned into the system for over 4 days! This has got to be one of the worst post offices in the country. I have now had my neighbors medication delivered to me 3 different times in 1 week. The letter carrier is always rude and refuses to deliver packages to my apartment which is across the street from the mail boxes. When I complain to the post office, nothing is ever done. The post master really needs to look into the quality of service at this location. I have a PO Box (for several years) at this location on 56th street and continuously get other people's mail. I take the time to out to write on the envelopes it was delivered to the wrong box/address and submit back into the post office drop box, report it to the front desk clerks...and yet it still happens. I just had my auto insurance contact me to inform a piece of my mail was returned to them stating wrong address which is likely due to my mail being delivered to the wrong PO Box. When I attempted to call to report this either it kept having a busy signal or no one picked up the phone and it kept ringing. They have to do better as a lot of sensitive material is being delivered to the wrong people! On another note, they are in desperate need of additional parking. The one star rating is valid only for the front desk clerks that are polite/respectful/attentive/professional/helpful most of the time. For years I no longer lived in this area and yet kept my PO Box..I will not renew my PO Box and obtain one in my area because I want my mail to be delivered securely to me and me only hence why I do not have my mail being delivered to my home mail box located on my street. read more

If any one has a PO Box at this location I suggest you relocate. These carriers that fill the PO Boxes are throwing the mail in the trash! Their phone is off the hook. When is the last time you called a number and got a busy signal. Slackers here just take the phone off the hook and they don't have to deal w calls. I shipped a package priority mail 28 days ago, never delivered nor returned. I enlisted the help of my local PO here in the Midwest. The rep at my P.O. was very responsive, following up w me to track the package but said that the phone had been busy for an hour. She said she would continue to attempt but gave me the number if I wanted to try. The post master here should be fired w no pension for allowing this.... read more

I had lost my tracking number for a Christmas box for our children in Portland, Oregon, and through dint of great and courteous effort (Miguel, in particular), the tracking number was found. They do not even deserve 1 star. First they lost my package. Then after a trace was done a staff member called and left a voice message. He sounded like he had a mouth full of rocks. I couldn't understand his name he ask that I call back with our leaving a phone number for me to call. When I did call back I spent over an hour calling with out ever speaking to anyone. I recently had a problem with mail belonging to my son being forwarded to me. The problem was my mistake but I could not find an on-line way to fix it. I went to the Temple Terrace post office. The clerk at the counter got what I understood to be a supervisor to come out and help me. This person whose name I do not recall (female; two sons - one nicknamed "Tater') was so nice and so competent I was on my way in about 15 minutes. Unfortunately, a few of the companies my son regularly deals with had already changed his address to continue coming to me so his mail was no longer being forwarded but was being sent directly to me. I again went back to the TT post office and, luckily, was assisted by the same woman. Once again, I was delighted with her customer service and was on my way in about 5 minutes. This employee deserves recognition for her exemplary customer service and professionalism. All of the employees here are pleasant and very polite and I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a great place to handle shipping needs. read more
