Out of the many times I have had to speak with someone, only one time was pleasant. The others rang from "if we said we delivered the mail/package, we did. Did you even look in your mail box or ask your neighbors? Or did you just come here first?" to "we can't do much after it has been delivered. If it is still issuing you need to call who you ordered it from/who sent it and see if they have the correct address." Then they are calling the next person in line. Those items were never found and no one at the office can even call back or find a manager to fill out a lost mail slip to try to find the missing items. This is one of the worst post office I have been to. Bad customer service, long waits, needs new managment.

50% of the time horrible i just work here attitude and once in a while almost pleasant overworked and sadly uncaring and that is just inside. about every 10 days our mail is not even delivered to our lakewood ranch neighborhood or picked up sadly, because united parcel service UPS can be expensive plus they can leave stuff at the door which can be lost we are just stuck with the post office i'm gonna try the one about 8 miles from that one and see if it's any better it's probably worth drive if it's more predictable The self-serve machines at the Post Road are down about 10% of the time and don't even work when they do work the packages get stuck in the bin so you know you've paid for your postage. You're ready to put it in the bin and leave but if the bin is stuck then no one will help you even if someone is there at the counter. they are not in a hurry to go help you or the other 10 people in line at the self service station which takes pressure off them so there's no logic involved in the slightest i look. thru the letter opener when my small boxes they're not even big get stuck to say hey please unstick them for me, but it appears no one's ever working back there either at least when I look So yes, they are overworked and understaffed, but it is still very frustrating for everybody read more

I've had okay experiences over the last year, but today was awful. I printed my shipping label from the kiosk. I had my items in a box and just needed tape. There was a roll on the counter so I politely asked, may I use this tape? With no eye contact, "no, that's for overnight shipping" Okay, is there a tape that I can use? "We don't sell tape" There was a different role on the counter, I said could I use that one? Her reply was "It's not mine." ZERO CONVERSATION, ZERO HELP!! If you hate your job, leave. read more

This is the ONLY post office east of interstate 75. They chose not to reopen the satellite office on 64. As a result it's crazy busy all the time. It's also brusque and unfriendly. So it's all we have. No choice but to deal :( read more

The help are extremely rude. I was the first one at the post office at 8:30. They don't open till 9 o'clock so I went to the first window and gave them my slip of paper that told me my package couldn't be delivered and it was at the post office I stood there for about 10 minutes While he went in the back then he came back and there was already a big line and he said I'd have to go into another line. I am 83 years old and it's very hard for me to stand up like that and the manager or whoever he is was in the back looking for somebody else's stuff and then when he finally came out, he was extremely rude to me. I was there for about 20 minutes beside the half hour early that I was there I've never met such rude employees in my life. I see that this post office has gotten terrible reviews, and it definitely deserves it. Those people should not be working there. There are people who are dying for jobs And will treat the customers I don't like President elect Trump, but his idea of privatizing the Postal Service might not be a bad idea read more

Always very helpful even suggesting a cheaper packaging for shipping overseas. You may have to wait in line a few minutes but they do their best to get you on your way as soon as possible. read more

This place is a joke !!! Constantly throwing packages on the ground instead of putting them in lockers where I live at The Adley in Lakewood Ranch. I am constantly getting other peoples mail and not receiving my own. Just filed a compaint because they delivered my medicine to the wrong adress and I never received it. Company reshipped it again and it was delivered yesterday again at the wrong address and I have no idea where it is. They need to hire people that have a clue as to what is going on or who can read !!! read more

This Post Office and POSTMASTER at this location is terrible and has no desire to provide good Customer Service. Customer service agent threw my package on the floor and damaged my personal property. First line manager here is not qualified to do her job and insure her employees are responsible and respectful to thier customers. I filled complaint and it fell on Def ears. POSTMASTER at this location needs to be removed from his position along with front end manager. I was told by her that he not going to call you...She was right. This POSTMASTER needs to reassigned or leave Federal Service period. Poor Poor operation at this Lakewood Ranch Location.. I used the kiosk to mail three packages - 2 on Dec 9 and 1 on Dec 10. Only 1 package was delivered. The other 2 were never scanned. The look up of tracking number says 'Accepted USPS electronic receipt of item for mailing. I have called, filed reports and went to the post office. It's now 11 days. No updates on packages. The manager at this office said he looked for packages and they were not there. Was arrogant and not helpful. These packages are my grandchildren's Christmas presents. Worst post office. Was passed at 60 MPH in a 45 mph zone on university in Sarasota by a mail man who asked me if a I had a laser speed gun when I mentioned his speed, he wore dreads - was clearly reckless and had no concern for anyone's safety. First off, they don't answer their phone. Secondly, if they have a substitute running the route don't expect the mail to be properly delivered. I know what is supposed to be delivered today and what was supposed to have been delivered yesterday and it isn't there. When our mail delivery person isn't here they stick someone else on the job and we get piss poor mail service. I had six letters to be delivered to me reported to me by the post office system yesterday and none made it to my mailbox. I had zero mail yesterday and the system showed six letters that were scheduled. So where are they? With a sub running the system they could be anywhere. read more

I went to get my mail today said hello to a plain clothes mail person, she ignored me.She was finished delivering the mail and was locking up. I got my mail out of my box she snatched it from my hand and said"You are not supposed to take the mail until I am all finished! She was the most unprofessional mail person I ever had. Awful lady w dark hair acting as "supervisor"? Could care less about lost packages and treats customers like garbage. If she hates her job then she should not do it or go sort mail in back, as a customer interface, she is below a zero. Confrontational and just downright nasty. Got the feeling her employees are not fully in support of this gal. Someone needs some training and fast. Worst PO experience in 20 years. I've lived here almost 2 years, a transplant from New York, and the Lakewood Ranch Post Office is my designated USPS office. All these less-than 5-Star reviews are meritless, and written by snowflakes and habitual complainers as I have received the BEST SERVICE and SUPPORT from the Lakewood Ranch, Post Office! Pay no attention to these "whiners", they are feeble petulant complainers! Mistakes sometimes happen in ALL transportation services, this is true for every service industry, but how it successfully resolved means everything. My postal carrier YOUNG and inside service manager DONNA have been EXEMPLARY in performance and customer service. I can not say enough to the professionalism and attention to detail that we have received from the Lakewood Ranch, Post Office! GREAT JOB! read more

This is the best post office over ever been too; and I like to mail things so I've been to many POs in many states. Every time I am here the folks are pleasant. There's a set up here so you can mail packages yourself st any time which is great. But what's important to note here is the staff is always pleasant. Always. Often a lone, so great to use the self mailing set up. But no matter how busy it is everyone is in a great mood - even if they are pretending - here. read more

Totally impressed with this new facility! (At least it was my first visit.) While in a somewhat obscure location - now that I know it's there it's perfect! This is my assigned post office. We used to have excellent mail service from our previous carrier, but now we have a new carrier who does not seem to care about the quality of his work. I have tried calling but it seems that no one is assigned to answer the phone. So, I have made 5 separate trips to the post office in the last year due to incorrect/lack of delivery of a weekly magazine. Each time I am told that the carrier will be monitored and the problem will not happen again. On my 5th visit 2 days ago, after waiting approximately 10 minutes, I was addressed by a woman who could not wait to be done with me. No expression of remorse or apology. She told me she would monitor the situation. After explaining about the continuing history of my problem, I then tried to tell her that my husband had mailed out checks for 4 bills on April 22. Last week he was horrified to get emails saying that his payments were late and that he would be incurring late fees. He had to stop payment on all 4 checks and reissue them. A few days after those checks cleared, one business called to say they finally received the first check - postmarked May 8! The woman at the counter again could not have cared less and told me that we shouldn't put checks in the neighborhood mail box! Then she dismissed me. If, as a public school teacher, I would have treated parents in this manner, I would have been terminated. I do not feel that there is any accountability at this location. read more

This post office serves lots of people from various parts of the country, and employs people who relocated here from various parts of the country. If you are used to a friendly person greeting you at the USPS counter, don't expect it here. If you don't know what you're doing, you may feel a bit rushed and like a child when you leave. I've lived in my new place going on three months and am still not getting my forwarded mail. I've been told every time I come in there that it's a new carrier and they are still learning the ropes. Where have all their negative reviews gone?!!! I will have to re-post mine then! The staff at this post office are very friendly and very efficient even when there is a line. My complaint is with the constantly rotating sub-par delivery drivers. I can't tell you how many times my mail has ended up in the wrong post box or lost entirely! I also have a standing pick-up order for EVERY Monday (45-65 packages) but they can't seem to remember and I've come home at 5:30 to find my mail still on the front porch!!!! they don't even deserve a single star in my opinion but i had to put it to post the review. to start off, each worker i dealt with at the counter (4 separate visits) were rude off rip. after waiting in line for almost 30 minutes i found out they lost my package, claimed to go look for it & said it was shipped back to sender. two weeks later (after calling several times a day for multiple days due to living an hour away i couldn't just show up everyday) the sender still had not received the package back. eventually they found it & the lady at the counter was beyond rude & said it was MY FAULT for not telling them what kind of package they were looking for. fast forward two weeks to today , i stand in line again for 22 minutes. i go to ship out packages for my disabled aunt & the gentleman at the counter was snippy from the moment i said hello & talked to me like i was dumb when i said UPS normally taped the packages for me and he said i wasn't telling the truth (news flash - left USPS and went to UPS right after & they TAPED THE BOXES FOR ME and sent me on my way with a smile - in and out in 2 minutes flat). i've only ever wrote a review 2 other times in my life but i feel as though everyone needs to avoid this USPS location at all cost. their attitude is a prime example of why the USPS is going out of business, from now on my family and i won't be using these services. read more
