Throughout the past 2024 calendar year, I've received friendly and relatively efficient service from the employees at this post office location. Sometimes the customer lines can get a bit long during peak hours, but I believe it's because of national staffing shortages (which are completely out of control of the people working here). read more

The place is decent , can be slow some days though. It mirrors every USPS basically. What I don't like is seeing the mail trucks parked at chick fil a in the handicap spots. Customer service has been cut back in hours, no longer open until 7:00PM, it seems the Germantown location closes at 6:00PM. There is no post office location open late night hours in the Memphis area. Not that there's any other service open late with any of the other carriers, kinda odd since Memphis is the FedEx hub. The self service kiosk worked well, but it's similar to many trends today reducing human interaction. read more

NOT DEPENDABLE FOR TIMELY SERVICE!!! I took a FedEx Smartpost return for Saks there on December 2, 2019, and placed it on the counter like the lady behind the counter instructed....it's December 11 and I just saw on my FedEx app that it was scanned that day but is still sitting there! Really!?!? Returns often have deadlines in order to get the full amount reimbursed and it's been sitting there for OVER A WEEK?!?!?! Unacceptable! I will now make the longer drive to the Collierville PO if I want anything done in a timely manner...which is every time. read more

What can I say, its a post office. However, this location has to be one of the better ones I have experienced as it is filled with friendly and helpful staff. I have been here a few times and have had no problems. Like any location you have your days and times where it is busy and there is a line but that is typical. However, I will say that the staff truly gives attention to each customer. I sold something on amazon and had to ship the package media mail. Why heck I never used media mail before and the kind staff person explained it throughly and made mailing this package extremely simple. All in all this location has great customer service and very helpful staff. Never had a problem and will continue to use this post office when in the Germantown area. read more

Not the best post office. Employees are in no hurry, and the place is understaffed. Sometimes, both automated postage centers work at the same time! Christmastime is not terrible, and they are staffed a little better to accommodate holiday shippers. There's a man who works here and is funny, he will give you a devil-may-care attitude, depending on your personal patience and facial expressions. I wish they had more space to work with out front, for addressing and stamping things. read more

I dropped my rating to 2 stars because before their closing time I got there and they still locked me out and refused service even though I was still there during their business hours. It really screwed me over as this was the only time I could send an important package out and it was hard enough to make it there with my schedule. Making it before 4pm when they close and being met with a door locking customers out before closing time is just unacceptable to me. Just really disappointed, I get it we all wanna go home when our shift is up but if it says 4pm close time, actually close at 4pm not 10 mins earlier. I work crazy hours and now I gotta try to find a friend to take care of this for me because I work before USPS opens and I work until after USPS closes. Ya'll don't realize how nice you have it where you are with your work home balance...smh read more

I've received better and more polite customer service by automated answering machines. I walked in towards the end of the day and the line was not incredibly long so I only had about a 10 minute wait to talk to someone. I had a prepaid label and the package just needed to be dropped off. I was called to the next available window and was not greeted with a smile or hello but instead bluntly told "You're using the wrong tape." referring to the USPS Priority Mail tape provided in the waiting line. I was asked to stand to the side and remove the tape and then told to just place the box on the end of the counter. I waited to talk to someone else who was much nicer and actually helped me tape up the box. Cheryl was very helpful. However, the rudeness and lack of customer service is very evident among the other employee. read more

Really surprised me that when I walked in to use the counter service, there were only 2 people available at the counter, especially at lunch peak time with 8 folks waiting on line. There did seem to be one lady who was roaming and encouraging ppl to use the external self-service post but still I reckon more folks are needed to staff this location. When I finally got to the counter, the lady who served me was very courteous and double confirmed the postage stamp sheets I was buying (it was a slightly complicated order as I was posting stuff internationally). I take all my bills to mail at this post office. I am having trouble with the delivery service with three different items. Just got a notice of delinquent tax payment that I mailed at po on 2-10-21 in Germantownand also my healthcare medicine prescriptions wasn't received and they were going to cancel it. I mailed it on 2-10-21 & it was due on 2-20-21.They still have not received it. What is going on Please respond. How long should you allow for in town delivery. This is by far the best post office I have ever visited. I don't know how, but when I leave there I almost always leave in a better mood. The employees are so kind and helpful, and they work very quickly. Today I went in to renew my passport, and it went very smoothly despite there being a long line of customers. The process was painless and simple thanks to Amy! I won't visit another post office while living in Memphis. read more

This place sucks. So you think you made an appointment, prepared all docs, arrived 15 mins earlier will get your passport out quicker? The answer is good luck. Waited for 45 mins until my baby daughter started crying, while they saw me the moment I walked in; alright, here you came tried take a few pictures, what, blame my daughter wouldn't give you a good smile? She was calm 1 hour ago; then after 5 mins work, where were the staff ? What was the wait? No one explained to me, just like we've never been there. We spent 1.5 hour waiting, and tried 5 mins only. I understand you all were busy, guess what? That's the very reason you have the option to make an appointment online; what's the point when I took off work, and you were not busy for me as a customer with appointment. I live in Cordova right by the post office and I still used to drive to Germantown to ship stuff when I sold stuff on Ebay because they were so much more efficient. Friendly and MUCH faster moving than Cordova. I like the people who work here and miss seeing them now that I no longer sell stuff on Ebay. read more

I was the next in line when the postal clerk asked the person behind me if she had a drop off. Not sure how the clerk would know that, She had a box. I had a box. The clerk didn't ask me if I had a drop off. The lady behind me said it was a drop off but she needed tape to close the box up. The clerk called her to her station. Gave her some tape. Talked to her for a minute. Then they both started whispering to each other. I waited in line. After she was done taking care of me I called her out on serving someone behind me. She said she didn't do that. I explained that she did...then she got hostile. The clerk was black, the lady behind me was black. I have seen this before sat this post office. The Germantown post office has a double standard when it comes to race. Just sayin. read more

Everyone in this post office is EXTREMELY RUDE and needs a lesson in customer service. Today, some lady named Mona yelled over to me what I wanted. I needed to mail a certified letter. She already had 2 other people in her line who were filling out a form. The next thing that she says is "COME ON NOW!" How was I supposed to know she wanted me to give her the letter? She had 2 people standing right in front of her blocking the way anyway. This is not the first encounter with rude postal works at this facility. I go here at least once a week and EVERYONE is rude and condescending. I get it...your job is terrible, Well don't go around making everyone else's day horrible too.
