I had a fantastic experience with the Lockport East Ave. post office back in early June. I had a…read morepackage of custom party decorations that was shipped late by an Etsy seller (despite my daily emails asking when it was going to ship and to confirm it would arrive in time) and it was iffy to make it in time for my son's 1st birthday party on Saturday. I called the post office Friday morning and spoke with Seth, the Post Master, and he was super helpful and said I can request the package be held as soon as I saw it was in Lockport. I tracked the package and called as soon as I saw it was at the Lockport station, they found the item and held it for me to pick up the morning of my son's birthday party. I went as soon as they opened the next Saturday morning and discovered the wrong package was held and now the package I needed was now out for delivery. Frantic, I called Seth and he discovered my package was going to be delivered by 5 pm...after the party. He asked me to give him a few minutes and he'd call me back. Within 5 minutes, Seth called me back and said his boss, Kaitlin, was going to get the package off the truck and deliver it for us and that she was going to call me to let me know when it was dropped off. In a matter of 30 minutes, the package was on my porch and Kaitlin called to confirm. These two did not have to do all of this for me, especially considering this wasn't USPS's fault, but they went above and beyond and were able to help make my son's 1st birthday party exactly as we wanted. I am so appreciative of Seth and Kaitlin and their excellent customer service. Thank you Seth & Kaitlin!!

Don't expect a fabulous storefront, since this is just a derelict looking warehouse, but the guys are nice, the prices are fair, and I've never had an issue with a parcel yet. Plus they're only a few minutes from the Rainbow Bridge border crossing, and if you forgot to pick up some US cash, there's an exchange kiosk just before the border crossing. I tend to pick up multiple shipments at one time since they don't charge more to hang onto parcels for a couple of months. Plenty of time for things to arrive. Just be aware of the days open (I believe it 's only 3 or 4 days a week now, closing times and lunch hour so you can time your arrival accordingly. Hours and days are posted on their website.
