My first negative review on Yelp. I called roadside assistance and they asked this company to assist me with a flat. Their dispatcher refused to believe there was more than one Dollar Tree on the long street I parked on and sent her driver to another one in the city nearby. She was rude condescending and a wasted a lot of time. She refused to believe that the location I gave her existed. She could have simply confirmed the address and sent her driver to the correct place. She wouldn't offer a solution, just attitude. I got a different company, Carmel towing to come out in 5 minutes vs the hour wait I had and they got the job done quick and professional. If you need towing assistance make sure you do not get United Towing in Monterey to service you! There are tons of choices and you don't need a company like United to make things more difficult. read more

THEY SUCK! They were arrange by our Fleet Service. They cannot find the location, I gave them the exact location, street, building number, cross street and never arrived. When I called them again after 40 minutes of waiting, they said the work order was cancelled because you cannot give the Parking Lot # to the driver. When I called our Fleet Service, he has notes that the driver was on the parking lot but no one was there so he left. LIES...LIES...LIES read more

They came to my rescue through my road-side service on a Sunday - stuck in front of my ex's house, with 3 kids, and a dead battery. Within 30 min my car was jumped and I was on my way to the shop to get a new battery - my idea as we were just beginning a 4 hour drive. Then the tech noticed my engine was running rough and so he checked my oil - EMPTY! We put in a quart and with the kind advice to take better care of my car he sent me to get an oil change elsewhere - not their speciality. Thanks to the tech's above-and-beyond attention, I did not ruin my engine as would probably have happened in a matter of miles! read more

Do not get your car towed by this company! I was waiting for a driver to pick up my car at my house and was shocked at the speed that he was driving down my street. He passed by my house and backed up a few times, but never slowed down. Looking back, this should have been my que to call a different company. The driver did not introduce himself and seemed rushed as he was getting my car onto the truck. When I let him know that the car would not start, he said nothing, but got back in his truck and backed towards my car (again, at mock speed). I sincerely thought he was going to hit my car. He handled his equipment carelessly as he threw belts and chains around my driveway in a rush. My car was loaded on in a hurry and was extremely crooked on the truck. Originally, I was not going to ride with the driver, but after seeing his lack of respect for his own equipment, I felt that I should drive behind him to make sure my car was not damaged. I asked him to wait while I got into my car so I could follow him, but as soon as I started walking towards my car, he had already bolted down the street and turned the corner. I called the driver's supervisor and explained the situation. She sounded irate and all she said was "Sorry". If you like companies that promote respect towards customers and their property, pride in their work, and great customer service.....look somewhere else. read more

Guillermo was wonderful! He arrived quickly and offered to check out the problem before just towing my car to the shop. After some investigating he discovered what the issue was and fixed it so that my car did not have to be towed. He even waited to make sure my car would drive okay around the parking lot and gave a recommendation for next steps. I really appreciate his effort and determination to help me avoid the inconvenience of waiting for my car to be repaired in the shop. read more

Jesse of United Towing did a superb job of towing my vehicle under difficult circumstances. Because the car was inoperable, parked nose first inside a carport on an incline, and is all wheel drive, he had to use a cable and winch to pull it out backwards, then lift the front end, then put the rear wheels on dollies. Every security and safety measure was followed. He was prompt, courteous, friendly, well-trained and expert in performing the job. I couldn't have been more pleased and impressed by his work. I can recommend United Towing without hesitation. They were dispatched by my roadside emergency service, Better World Club, an alternative to AAA. read more

If I could give this 5 negative stars, I would...not only did they show up 1 1/2 hours AFTER they said they would, the driver, who happens to be the owner of the company, stole my tow hook for my BMW!!! If AAA or Allstate insurance sends you to this tow company...ask for a different one ASAP! read more

Can not speak highly enough of the towing skills and professionalism of David M. from United Towing. He knows his profession inside & out, is calm, courteous and goes out of his way to ensure a faultless towing experience. I recently put myself in contention for the Idiot of the Year Award by locking the keys to my Cayman in the car's front boot... while parked in the infield at Laguna Seca Raceway surrounded by literally thousands of people and cars at Porsche RennSport Reunion IV. Of course, the car was locked and in gear with handbrake applied. No matter. Having towed Bentleys, Ferraris, Lambos and cars for the Audi Racing Team, David threaded through the crowd to get to my hapless car, installed special cradles and wheels and whisked it and me flawlessly to the local dealer in no time.
