Parked at the 6407 W. Sunset location so we didn't have to struggle to find parking for a visit to a nearby Trejo's Cantina. When we arrived we were told credit only and were charged a fee for not using cash. So the lot refuses cash then charges you a fee for not using cash. Make it make sense. Do not park here, sign says they close at 3:30 but when my cousin when to pick up her car at 2:30 the lot was closed and was told by a security guard that to return the next morning because key was missing, when she returned the next morning she asked the attendant working the booth about the situation and that she needed her key, she and her brother were met with hostility was her brother was called a BITCH by the attendant, after 2 hours wasted she was told to return at 4pm and that they would replace her key fod when we got back to the lot they gave her a key fob that did not work, they stole her key and refuse to replace it with one that works, since the key fob does not work she can not get into the car, they have refuse to take accountability for their employee stealing a key and replacing it. read more

This company needs to be shut down. We ate at Fig & Olive last month and did valet parking. I JUST received a $63 ticket in the mail saying my car was parked at an expired meter. This means the valet guy KNEW my car got a ticket and just took it off the windshield and pretended like nothing happened. I am so upset because not knowing this happened, we even tipped him at the time. We called Fig & Olive and they gave us the number to call, and it's just a recording telling us to state our "claim". Reading some of these reviews on here, it sounds like they screw people over all the time. If I don't hear back I will take this to small claims. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A TICKET FROM DOING VALET PARKING. This company is full of crooks and should not be hired EVER. UPDATE: I called Fig & Olive to complain again and they put me in touch with a valet manager. Terrible customer service. Honestly working in a building that's managed by this parking management has been the worst experience ever. Terrible communication and not helpful at all. I usually refrain from writing bad review, but I feel justified with this one. I don't know if its the building management company or the parking management company or both, but the lack of communication on both ends really makes working at this building stressful all around. This company recently changed out the garage access system and our key fobs didn't work anymore after changing it out, despite the fact we pay monthly. How was there no communication on this? Why do we need to go out of our way to contact parking management and building management to get this resolved? Why didn't the parking management send us a notice in advance? Why didn't the building management know about this change? Why is the parking attendant yelling at me for not having a new key fob and trying to charge me for daily parking? Honesty, being yelled at by the parking attendant when I'm just asking for help in resolving this issue was ridiculous and stressful. We received a notice from our building management after reaching out to them on 03/27. They stated: It has come to our attention that access cards are not working at the parking gates to enter/exit garage. If you are having trouble with your card, please pull a Parking Ticket. There will be NO CHARGE to exit garage; simply note your suite number on the ticket and hand to parking attendant to exit property. So comes Monday, 04/01, I arrived at work pull a ticket as instructed. When it came to leaving the parking garage I wrote my suite number down and handed it to the parking attendant, letting her know I still haven't received my new key fob. She put the ticket in the machine stating to pay $8. She said her manager told her to charge anyone without a new key fob. I was confused and explained the building management sent out the above note. She started to raise her voice lecturing me that I needed to reach out to Peter Ghaffari. That tomorrow she will charge me if I don't get a new key fob. How can there be this much miscommunication between the parking management company & staff and the building management? Like seriously? WTF? After complaining to my boss, she resolved it and I got my key fob today, but what a nightmare. How can this company provide such terrible service and think to run a successful business. Honestly what are we paying for?? Advice to people thinking of working in a building which parking service. check to see what company is running it. Advice to the company, give your customers a notice a least a week in advance for any changes. Communicate better with the building management and your staff. Provide new key fobs prior to changing out the system. Its really that easy to prevent situations like this. On another note, I will not speak to your parking attendant anymore after the way she yelled at me. You know when you really just want to save some money because you know your going to be spending lotsa mula you tend to want to save some place. While I was looking for street parking and being unsuccessful we pulled into Fogo de Chao to just let the valet service take the pain away from dealing with it. You never expect that your going to have much issue with the parking attendant's other than maybe theft of your worldly possessions. Granted my car isn't worth half of what was parked inside the parking lot. We were told to move forward and we were preparing to exit the vehicle when BOOOM the BMW M5 backs into the left front corner of our car. Then the M5's driver looked like he was going to take off. My girlfriend jumped out to flag him down before he left but it wasn't even the owner in the car but the parking attendant. People in the parking area looked on cause every car in the lot was Euro and ours was a Japanese toy in comparison. I almost went ballistic but everyone else was calm. I took some pics and they had me fill out a form and so we went in to dine and so I bitched at the front desk and the manager came out to calm us and assured us everything would be fine. Since it was the weekend I called Monday and ray blew me off at first but Allan called me back shortly there after. I think Allan may have been Ray or vice versa. He asked for some pics and immediately referred me to a body shop that would take care of the issue. A rental car was rented for us to drive around in while the car was being fixed. Be very careful when parking in Mo's Long Beach Shoreline Village lot. We were there for lunch, arrived at 12:02 left at 3:05 after waiting in line a couple of minutes to get out, they charged us $10 with a lunch validation even though the first 3 hours is "ffree". The person manning the area was awful. He gave us a number to call, those people redirected us to the manager, MO's number, voicemail said he would call back however "the mailbox was full" so you couldn't leave a message.. aggravating!! The company in the fashion district blocked in our car and didn't have the keys to either of the cars blocking us. We were civil for the first hour, but when they illegally broke in to the car in front of us and tried to start it with a screwdriver driver and failed, I had to go out to the front and block traffic from going in until they got our car out. Thirty minutes later, we were out. The manager would not communicate with me about what was going on, and seemed to care less than any of the employees, who at least were trying. The parking attendant in our lot constantly harasses me and instructs me to park in spots that even my civic can barely fit into. Parked in one of their lots on Sunset Blvd. The parking attendant said he didn't have change or tickets and that I should pay upon my return to the vehicle. When I returned, 3 hours later, I learned my car had been towed. I finally found the attendant who instructed me to park at the lot. He admitted the mistake and at my request, got his manager on the phone. The person on the other end of the call told me to call the number posted on a sign in the lot to make my claim. When I called, it went straight to a voice message. I had the attendant call the manager back. At first she tried to tell me that they had the legal right to tow my car because the lot closes at 1am. I said, I returned to the lot at 12:30am. She said "well, it's daylight savings tonight." The car was actually towed two hours earlier. Shady! She then called me back and told me to keep all my receipts from the tow company and the cab fair and that they would contact me on Monday to "take care of everything." I hopped in the cab and headed for the tow lot. After $243 and 3 hours, I was back in my vehicle and on my way home. By late Monday afternoon, I decided to call the parking manager, since I was losing patience. He asked me to email him a scan of the receipts and said he would review everything and call me back. I had to call every day for several days. THEY NEVER REACHED OUT TO ME. FInally, he returned a text message, saying "he is having the receipts reviewed and would get back to me in a few hours." Heard nothing that day. The next day, I called another number and started over with another individual. Frustration level is reaching new heights. He said he would get back to me that Friday or on Monday. By Tuesday, after I heard nothing, I contacted corporate. They instructed me to write a letter, include receipts, video and mail it to them. I called the manager one last time and finally got him on the phone. Then he offered to settle with me for $200, out of "his own pocket because he feels bad about what happened." That he doesn't want me to have to deal with the corporation and the headache of filing a claim and waiting weeks to get an answer. He said I would receive a personal check. I accepted because I just didn't have any energy left to deal with this. 3 days later, I received a company check from United Valet Parking, Inc. with language stating that the payment is the final settlement and closes the claim (with a claim number that they never communicated to me). I appreciate the fact that they paid the majority of what I was owed. However, I was appalled that they had to lie to me in order to save $43. It was so frustrating to have to call and email everyday. It was such a horrible experience to try to get my money reimbursed because of THEIR MISTAKE. Very unprofessional and scummy that they would ever try to blame me, as if it were my fault. Their staff clearly admitted to the mistake. A little honesty and integrity go a long way. read more

The manager at the time said he knew I did not have the damage there when I showed up and if I called the company they would handle it. I followed their directions waited for a response and never got one after 10 days! I called back left messages and was told they would call me that day. Then 30 minutes later I get an email saying they will not fix my car because they claimed it was there after hours and they are not responsible. Someone else must of hit it. BS!! They never bothered to look at my car because if they did, they would see that it is impossible for another vehicle to cause that damage. It is clear that they ran over something while moving it. Ray started yelling at me over the phone saying they weren't there after hours and I should take them to court and hung up on me! Then they have been dodging my calls and emails and even my insurance company cant even get a hold of them. I went back to speak to the manager at the property and he said "If I were you I would fight it. They have made mistakes before and covered it. I don't know why they are doing this to you." This review is for the valet attendants at Rubio Plaza in Encino. My mother pulled up to valet with my 6yo and baby in the car. My mother advised that there were two children in the back and she would need a moment to get them out. My mother exited and got my 6yo safely out. She then walked to the other side of the car to get my baby and the valet attendant got into the car and sped off through the garage with the baby still in the back. My mother screamed after the car and the other attendants and customers also tried to flag down the driver. He seriously drove through the lot on what can only be described as a joy-ride. When he stopped my mother caught up to the car with my 6yo (who is crying by this point) and told the driver about the baby in the back. He walked away without any comment, apology or reaction. Appalling. I called the United Valet office after the incident and was given the manager's number. I told the manager (Hector) the story and he asked "was there any damage to the vehicle?". He stated that "these things happen" and "he didn't do it on purpose". No apology. This is not acceptable and extremely dangerous. read more

Like everyone has posted previous, if it were possible to give negative stars this would be the company to receive this honor. I used their service at a local restaurant and when my car was returned I had clear damage to my passenger side. The attendant admitted to causing it, I filled out the claim form, took pictures, and had him sign something relating to accident. When I spoke with UVP they acknowledged fault and asked for an estimate of damage. I went to a shop around the corner and faxed over the estimate. I got a call saying that the estimate was too high and they would only authorize a payment half the estimated amount UNLESS I took it to one of their recommended shops. I explained that was unacceptable, as they needed to repair my vehicle into its prior condition regardless of cost and this was just an estimate. The cost may be greater or lower depending on if other damage is found once repair begins. Their response was that's what was authorized and that's it. Clearly this company preys upon the ignorance of the general public when it comes to property damage claims. Everyone has the right to take their vehicle to any body shop they choose, and they cannot be penalized for doing so. Everyone also have the right to have their vehicles repaired fully, regardless of expense. I'm sure using these nefarious business tactics work with the majority of people who file claims, which is why they continue to do so. It keeps their costs low. However, this is against insurance regulations. I've since filed complaints with the City of Los Angeles as well as the California Department of Insurance drawing attention to UVP's deceptive and unethical way of conducting their claims. I've also notified the restaurant where this occurred as well as other restaurants and businesses that contract with UVP to draw attention to what kind of company is operating under their name. I would urge everyone else who has had a similar experience to do the same. It goes without saying you should avoid utilizing this company's services, but if you have no choice, make sure you inspect the vehicle with the attendant before turning your vehicle over and inspect it again upon its return. If there is problems, take pictures or videos. Have the driver sign something admitting fault. Notify the business management as well. Do all of this BEFORE YOU LEAVE! Bottom line is: KNOW YOUR RIGHTS! Don't be strong armed by these shysters. The more educated we all are will force shady companies such as this to either change their way of dealing with claimants or face serious consequences. read more

Please don't let this company park your car!!!! I was unable to give a zero star but had to give something to write a review. I valeted my car at Berri'a Cafe to have dinner and when I went to pick up my Range Rover my car window was smashed with all my belongings gone. I first asked the valet where was my car and the wouldn't tell me where my car was broken into. I proceeded to call the police and the valet guy gave me his company phone number. The police came to investigate and asked why they moved my car from the crime scene and it was no answer again. English was his second language. Nonetheless, I reported the incident to my car insurance the same day. Giving UVP the benefit of doubt, I told my insurance to hold off because I was trying to give UVP the opportunity to fix my car, get me a rental and replace my expensive items that were stolen. 4 days past and nothing, no call or email. I take my car to the recommended collision shop by my dealership and leave the car because of all the glass embedded in my seat (vented) and carpet. After the collision company sent the estimate for $3183.00 and put me in another Range Rover for $250.00 a day (enterprises car rental)around 8:30am, UVP finally sends a email out to me approving my total damage for $950.00 with a 2 day rental at $30.00 a day around 11:30am. I called them around 2pm the same day and Monica, the receptionist, said no one was in the office (a lie). I just wanted to tell them I don't drive a $30.00 car, my glass alone cost more $950.00 , and that 4 days have past by with no rental car already. How did UVP come up with all these figures because these are foreign parts for a luxury foreign car? It was going to 5-7 days for repairs by the Approved Range Rover collision company . The claim number they gave me wasn't attached to any insurance company and no one would talk to me or the collision company until Friday to tell us that this was their final offer. I lost my Louis Vuitton duffle bag, Mac book pro, Chanel shoes, Apple Watch series 4 , rental cash, reusable bags and 2 blazers. I was unable to work 2 days, lost real estate clients, and my car for lord knows how long now. I'll probably take legal action against UVP and Berries Cafe on 3rd street. I know my insurance will. After speaking to a Alan and Ray in the claims department for UVP Friday, I realized that they were trying to scam me. The police were pretty clear that I need to press charges against this company because it was probably an inside job. FYI another car was broken in with mines and he lost a Rolex and wallet. Don't use United Valet Parking Inc when valeting you car esp not on 3rd street in front of Berries Cafe. Read other reviews and Better Business Bureau reviews. My alarm didn't go off because my car was unlocked and probably in a unsafe alley. I checked the application for my car that Range Rover has and will turn the evidence over to the police. read more

We left our car with a United Valet while eating at Cafe Des Artistes (another disaster) on August 19th. In perfect shape when we drove up, the right rear side panel of our car was bashed in when we retrived our car after dining. The valet said nothing could possibly have happened while the car was with him, and that it was probably damaged during our drive to the restaurant without our being aware of it. The valet manager agreed. While this discussion was going on, a resident of the neighborhood intervened to tell us that these valets routinely damage cars and then lie about it, something she has witnessed time and again. I parked in one of their lots in Hollywood this past weekend and when my friends and I got back to my car, the button to my automatic lock on the inside of my door was gone! That's ridiculously ghetto and obviously I talked to the valet guy (who I bet was hoping I'd be smashed so I wouldn't notice- stupid assumption) and all he did was mumble and point at the number on the valet ticket. He said to call and I did, but their claims department was completely out. I asked when I could call back and the woman said ''probably in half an hour''and then proceeded to tell me that although I could call back, I really should just e-mail the claims department, and that they really couldn't do anything anyway unless I had the cross street information etc of the specific lot. Now, I take complete blame for being dumb enough to not write down the street info, but seriously nothing can be done? This company is ridiculous and I am going to avoid their lots (as you all should) as much as humanly possible.
