He requested 20% downpayment via 'cash app' or Venmo, which we provided to secure his commitment. He then blew the first two beautiful days, neither showing nor communicating to reset expectations. Eventually texted, "don't worry, I'll get it done." The third day he burns the entire morning buying supplies, and demands additional 25% Venmo to purchase. Arrives after noon, and leaves at 4pm, demanding half the job's payment in cash. After I provide payment, he says he'll be onsite at 8am. The forth day, Nick and his 'crew,' which consist of his female partner and brother don't show up until after 11am. They are a complete wreck, spilling a 5gal bucket of paint water in my house, through a whirlwind of disorganized chaos. The partner throws a tantrum, drives off the property to go home, only to return minutes later and proceed to sleep in the vehicle for the next two hours. At the end of another partial day of poor quality painting, not one single side of the house is done. The job is not even 25% finished, and I've paid this guy over $6k via Venmo. There's one last gorgeous day before winter is coming on the sixth day. Nick assures me he's fast, will get it done, and will be back at 8am. On the fifth day, Nick doesn't show, doesn't answer texts or calls. I'm left responsible for all the mess he's left, and equipment laying all over my lawn and throughout my basement. It took two truck runs for me to return his property, escorted by Cairo PD. Nick never answered the door, pulled his equipment inside while nobody was around, and has still yet to reply to any messages. There are police reports, I have witnesses willing to testify, and records of all the above. My advice is to not engage with this wrecking ball of a 'business.'

He spent his time screaming, berating, and using a Spanish language app on his phone to communicate with people he hired. Examples: 1. He installed three internal barn doors that were four inches too small and did so incorrectly, with missing and misplaced hardware. This caused the doors to literally fall on top of us. He refused to repair and replace the doors. 2. He installed inconsistent trim throughout the house, all different wood types, finishes and colors from different manufacturers, none of which we approved. He then used mismatched wood filler. Wood pieces were chipped and damaged throughout. He refused to repair and replace the trim. 3. He brought a professional painter to the house with him to provide an estimate and then we never saw the painter again. Instead, he had non-professionals do the painting and it looked horrible. We paid Mark Dallas half of the final payment in good faith that he would fix the faulty work for which he admitted responsibility. Instead of doing the work, he blatantly ignored us for months. His refusal to finish the job, especially after we paid him money that he had not yet earned, speaks volumes about his lack of professionalism. His exceptionally poor work is going to cost us thousands more to correct. Rather than get a third culvert, they advised that too much erosion below would result, and that instead they would bring in a load of rock to cover with soil to complete the task. That was in May. After a couple of exchanged texts and brief replies over the summer like "of course we'll come back", they have now blocked me from sending text messages to their number and have evidently decided to keep the money for the remainder of the project and not return? It has now been over two months since they promised they would return. They did good work with the initial part of the project and were a pleasure to work with. I did not frequently text them, I'm not sure what happened, but they did not finish my project and the kept the remainder of the funds.
