Looking for one of the Universal Hotels that was a little more chill-adultish and this did well for that. The "modern" some-what-space-edgy feel has a fun lobby set up, but the rooms were aesthetically too minimalist and stark, almost hospital like, though I have seen hospital rooms with more aesthetic and appeal. Could be hotel-psychology to make you not want to be in the room and be out spending money at the parks. That said, the room had all the amenities for a good stay, covering needs. Always huge fan of having coffee available in the room! An unintentional park tie-in was that our AC sounded like a dementor out of Harry Potter every time it kicked on - thankfully it otherwise worked great with keeping the room nice and chill. The bed was comfortable and everything was super clean. Pool setup was perfect! The main floor hotel cafe/restaurant had good options, especially for a quick breakfast. There are some kid amenities here, though it seemed less than other hotels, and overall it was a relatively quiet location. There seemed to be many folks there for work/convention. All of the staff we encountered were absolutely wonderful. We were provided excellent info with check-in to get us started with our park-planning. The main floor bar could use some more seats as it was always busy, and made sense due to the excellent drink options, friendly and attentive bartenders. Michael, in particular, was amazingly hospitable! Another reason we picked this location was access to the park shuttles. This was perfect! Didn't have to walk far with the hotel to the pick up and rarely encountered much of a wait for the shuttles. Overall, a great stay. read more

What a great experience we had at the Universal Aventura Hotel! First, the hosts at check in were so friendly. They texted as we settled into our room to ensure we had everything we needed. Forget something? They have a robot valet to bring small items to your room! Elevators come quickly and there are several. Shuttle picks up and drops off right outside the front entrance! Don't want to wait for a shuttle? Take a brief 15 minute walk to the main park entrance! Rooms were clean and had great ameneties (shampoo dispensers, ipad light and room controls, blow dryer, coffee maker). My absolute favorite part? The refillable bucket of booze at the pool bar! 2026 March I stayed here for a little over a week & was pleasantly surprised by how great of a stay it was. At first I was initially hesitant to stay here based on some of the reviews I read. As an avid Yelper, I decided to trust the other Elite reviews & ignore the super negative reviews. Things I really loved about the hotel: check in was super easy & they provided lots of good info especially info regarding Universal Parks. I especially loved that they have buses that run directly to/from the hotel to Universal Parks & Citywalk! This is especially valuable for anyone without a car or who doesn't want to rack up lots of Uber charges. I appreciated there was a Universal Store, Starbucks, rooftop bar, gym, & cafe area with lots of indoor & outdoor open seating options. While I didn't spend anytime at the pool, it does boast of one with lots of seating. There is even a little game lounge outdoors. I enjoyed the rooftop bar, grabbing cocktails, food, seeing the views, & watching fireworks in the night sky. I found the beds to be pretty comfy & the rooms had all the normal necessities like blackout curtains, TV, hairdryer. The shower had great water pressure. There are plenty of elevators so you never really have to wait for one going up or down. Things that could've been better: this hotel doesn't offer small toiletries that you may have forgotten, like body wash or toothpaste, etc. they do have in shower shampoo & conditioner. We loved this hotel. When we got there by Uber, we checked in quickly and were upgraded to queen end of the hall rooms which was basically two rooms in one! The staff were helpful with all questions and a daily Starbucks each morning was a great way to start the day. Just a close walk to the boat pickup and an amenity card to use the pools at the other hotels too. I'd definitely come back and stay with the family rather than conferencing! read more

Aventura is a pretty nice hotel, and by far one of the cheaper options of the Universal Studios Resort. stays. For the price, I think it's one of the best quality bargains you can get depending on time of year. It's kind of a futuristic/ scientifically ambiguous theme but fun all the same. There's a decent sized pool area along with a hot tub and outdoor arcade spot. Never seen an outdoor arcade except here. They have a small cafeteria dining area with an assortment of options. It has typical offerings like burgers and pizza, but also a rotating menu of other things, sushi and sandwiches and stuff. The breakfast is pretty decent and nice for a quick bite if you don't want to have to leave the hotel or don't want something from the parks. They also have a Starbucks, of course. The rooms are very standard but they do the job. It's definitely not super sound proof so you can hear every little sound from surrounding rooms and people above you. But they do have a pretty nice workout room, and you definitely should check out the rooftop bar/ restaurant area while there. One of the nicer things about staying here as well is the proximity to the Universal Parks. You have access to all of the Sapphire Falls amenities, the hotel right next door, which includes their ferry boat ride over to the original parks. You can also enjoy the Sapphire Falls pool, and it's like a 20 min walk from Adventure to the parks. The shuttle is always an option as well. No lack of ways to get to the parks. read more

Aventura hits so many of the sweet spots for me. The price, more contemporary feel, the rooftop bar, the compact (in a good way) layout, and walking distance to the parks are all great amenities. We've been here a number of times and the staff has been incredibly helpful and friendly -- most recently the kitchen staff at the market went out of their way to accommodate a special request for us. Overall the food and drink are really solid across the board. The menus aren't giant, but they have the perfect options to fuel up before or after the parks. If you're a fan of walking to the parks, be sure to cut across to Sapphire Falls next door and go through the bottom floor to the walking path. You can take a boat to City Walk if you prefer. This resort does have a little bit more of a grown up and sophisticated vibe, so if you're a younger family you might want to check out Cabana Bay right across the street. Overall I highly recommend checking out Aventura for your Universal trip! read more

One of the biggest pros about this hotel is that it is a walking distance to Universal Studio, City walk, and Universal islands of adventures. While staying here, there are shuttles/buses that will come pick you up from the hotel to the parks and take you back. There is also a shuttle dedicated to Epic universe. They are clearly marked. There is a sizeable swimming pool (lifeguards present), hot tub, an urban food hall with a few selection of food items, a Starbucks in the lobby, a universal store, a bar by the pool, a bar in the lobby and a bar/restaurant on the 17th floor. Additionally, it's a walking distance to other universal properties with great dining options so you never have to go too far if you're wanting something different than what hotel Aventura has. Check in went well. We were also able to get our physical tickets from reception which made life easy for when we started our theme park days the next day. The lobby was fairly quiet, clean, with a lot of lounge areas. There is a robot that roams around to vacuum the floors and plenty of elevators. The room was average, a bit of a tight fit around corners but clean. No decors adorning the walls. There is a tablet that controls lights and TV, a small fridge, a coffee maker but no microwave. There is a microwave in a heating station down at the urban pantry. We got one with the 2 queen beds but only slept in one. It felt more like a full size bed than a queen, so it was on the smaller end if it was truly a queen. And I will be honest, it was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. We stayed for 5 nights and I slept 7 hours in only 1 of those nights which I attribute to the 13-hour day at Epic. Often, I would wake up through the night with pains/discomfort because the mattress lacked any sort of good support or softness for that matter. It felt like laying on a worn down mattress where you're feeling the springs. Both beds in the room felt the same so no point switching out. Bathroom had a tub which was also clean. Extra blankets were in the closet. Overall, I would say this was average. While most things were great, sleep is also quite important especially when trying to have the energy to do theme parks the next day. I'm glad they at least have a Starbucks in the lobby! read more

Very poor food options considering they charge you resort level prices comparable to other hotels nearby that far exceed in quality. They will serve you powdered eggs for $15.99, it's essential cafeteria food at double the price. Also, the cleaning service is very sub par. They will only clean your room once every two days and the front desk fails to let you know if you leave a single personal item on your bed they don't have the ability to move said item to a table and clean your bed instead they will leave everything as is and leave you wondering why your bed is still not made. In a five night stay they failed to clean my room one time because the only time they showed up I needed to occupy my room. Excellent customer service from a professional kindness aspect, but fails to deliver a resort level experience while still changing you as such. read more

Universal Aventura Hotel: My review is based on my family's stay from 2/23-2/27/26 utilizing a standard bedroom with twin beds. The primary reasons I chose this hotel were its proximity to 2/3 of the parks and City Walk, reasonable rates, aesthetics, fitness center, and amenities. I'm a big walker and it took approximately 15 minutes to walk to City Walk from my room. A couple times I was pretty beat at the end of the day, so I took the water taxi to neighboring Sapphire Falls from City Walk. There are also free buses available to the parks, which is a requirement for the trip to Epic Universe. The contemporary design of the hotel was tasteful, staff was friendly, it was clean, and I got a kick out of the "robots" that greeted me in the lobby. Another plus to the contemporary design is it can be a turnoff for families with little kids looking for something more "fun", so I didn't really experience a lot of unruly children running down the halls. Although my primary purpose for traveling is visiting the parks, I like that a fitness center with weights is available to squeeze in a quick workout on one or two of the days. As for the amenities, a mini fridge in the room is a must for me as I often have leftovers from restaurant's massive portions and like to bring my own vegetables for a healthy snack. There's no in-room microwaves to heat leftovers, but two can be found in the lobby near the hotel's food court. I also appreciated the in-room coffee machines, which brings me to the areas of improvement. Although coffee and cups are available, the hotel does not offer plastic lids, making it hard to walk with your coffee and causing it to quickly cool. There was also no in-room recycling (only trash cans), which irked me as an environmentalist. Lastly, I wasn't a fan of the water pressure settings in the shower. One was too gentle but covered a wide surface area and the other was adequate but was a very narrow jet. You can find complimentary liquid shampoo and conditioner in the shower, but no liquid body wash (bars of soap are available). My travel companion thought more, and better placed towel hooks were needed in the bathroom, but this did not particularly trouble me. It was a pleasant stay at the Aventura. We were in town this past weekend to hit the universal park, Epic. We wanted the early entry that's allowed if you stay in a Universal property so we spotted the best priced one, here, Aventura. We have stayed across the street a few times at Cabana Bay, which is a really great spot. but Aventura was a few bucks less and we thought we would mix it up this time. We walked into a beautiful lobby and a friendly staff. We were told our room wasn't ready yet(we were a couple hours early), but minutes later we got a text that it was good to go and to proceed directly to the room. We didn't even have to stop back at the desk. room was great, and after a wind down, and wind up, we went to the rooftop bar at pre-sunset. Great spot. After a beverage we headed out. We checked out early the next morn to go to the park. They apparently let you stay in the parking the next full day for free, which was a real bonus. We really liked the hotel. It didn't have a theme like some others, but it was classy all around. read more

We recently stayed at the Aventura during our visit to Orlando and I have to say it wasn't bad. What made us choose this hotel was that it looked a bit more modern than other ones that are considered Universal hotels and was stated to have less kids running around. Considering the Aventura is viewed as one of the value hotels ran by the Loews chain on the Universal lot, it wasn't bad. They did provide us with the early admission to Universal Islands of Adventure, which was nice. It was also nice to be able to take the water taxi at Sapphire Falls next door. We arrived in the evening, and the staff were extremely friendly from the moment we checked in: always a good sign. Once we got up to the room, we noticed that many of the room features were controlled by a tablet, which added to the modern feel of the place. The size of the room was ok; a little cramped for a double queen room, but we made it work. The view was nice during the day, but was so much better during the evening hours; just make sure you turn off all the lights as the glare kills the whole ambiance. The beds were fine, but the mattress and comforter wasn't that comfortable, but it's passable. The mini fridge and a decent sized in-room safe was a plus and used well. The closet space was also decent, but was definitely on the smaller side. Now for the negatives... Housekeeping comes every other day, so if you have two or more people, you might run out of bath towels and such. You can order more through the tablet though, so there is that. They didn't provide any glass cups in the room, so you are stuck with paper ones from the coffee machine or the smaller plastic ones for the bathroom sink; an issue of you drink kind of often while you're in your room. Another issue is the room is also pretty dim, even with every lamp turned on. My lovely partner had a difficult time doing her make up due to how dim the room is. Also, if you are thinking about room service options, it's pretty lack luster, so we didn't even bother with that. Now for the dining and bar options: we went up to the roof bar one night, but it seemed pretty cold and pretty empty when we visited. You do get a 360 degree view of the area, so that is nice. You'll likely visit the Urban pantry down in the lobby. It's kind of like a food court, and depending on the time of day, different options will be available; just don't expect anything too spectacular. We did try the lime flavored gelato from down there, and I must admit it tasted like they literally blended a lime, peel and all. The Starbucks is open during the morning and day time, which is fine. Service is pretty quick there, but if you want any of the sandwich's or quick bites, you'll find that the vast majority of them are not available. Overall, the Aventura wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. Would I stay there again? Perhaps, as we didn't find anything too bad about the place. With all the options on the Universal lot though, we would likely try another one on our next visit here. read more

The best thing about the room is that we were only in it for 8 hours and most of it was sleeping. The people at the front desk were nice but it was understaffed each time. I waited 20 minutes at bag check. But the people we did encounter were lovely. Our room had a massive pool of liquid in the middle of the floor when we walked in. I thought it could be coming from a fridge or freezer and justified it that way so I could go to sleep but it was not. It had a color to it when the towel absorbed it. The bed had stains on the pillows. The couch had stains all over. The floor was sticky near the bed. It made noise when I stood on it in shoes. I would never stay here again. I had a great stay at this hotel. I was in Orlando for a tech conference for work and ended up staying here for 4 nights. It was very clean, the staff were friendly, and overall a positive experience. The controls for the lights and tv are all controlled from the tablet on the nightstand which took a minute to figure out. It would have been nice to have been told that from the front desk when we check in or some kind of direction in the room but that is no big deal. I've stayed here a few times now. We have a had a few different room types and our favorite was of course when we were upgraded to the larger room with an amazing view. We also really enjoyed the rooftop restaurant and bar. I wish the lobby food court had a few more options though. Because we are local, we will occasionally stay here just for a night to have a little staycation and visit citywalk or the theme parks. We spent a long time in the pool on our most recent visit and loved how it wasn't crowded. The number one reason we like to stay is how we just have to walk out the pool gate and are literally AT Volcano Bay. The only thing that was a negative, was two stays ago, we wanted drinks at the pool bar, but even though it was during open ours for the bar, no one was there. We had to go to the lobby to ask about it and about 30 minutes later someone came out to the outside pool bar. Not a big deal, but at the time was a little frustrating. I definitely recommend staying here if you plan to visit Volcano Bay! All of the staff we encountered were super friendly and went above and beyond to make it a great stay! read more

When we checked into the hotel we were met with an upgrade in room to a fantastic corner room which was amazing, these kind of gestures are just a great way to start a stay. The staff was super friendly, we were met with nothing but kindness throughout our entire stay. The cleaning services were high quality and just as needed. The gym was high quality and full of many state of the art machines. Pool and hot tub were great, for down time and relaxing. The restaurant downstairs was great with so many different options not just the same food. The one hour early access into the universal park was also very handy to beat the crowds. From the moment we stepped up to the check in desk, we have encountered nothing but friendly attentive staff. The universal store little lady may be a little too attentive lol. She immediately fixes anything you touch and put down slightly out of place. We checked in on line before we came and we were delighted when we checked in, and they upgraded our room to a corner suite. The room Was a complete wall of windows with a small living room a desk with a Bluetooth speaker you could hook your phone to and I love the interactive iPads that are in your room that allows you to access everything all over universal. I rarely write reviews, but my experience at the Aventura Resort Orlando was unacceptable and needs to be shared. During my stay, a luxury item was taken from my room. What followed was even more concerning than the incident itself. I was passed between nearly 20 different staff members across security, front desk, and lost & found -- with no ownership, no clear communication, and no resolution. At multiple points, I was told "we'll make this right," only to later be told that because there is "no proof," nothing can be done. That response is not only dismissive, but it completely ignores the responsibility a property has to its guests. The issue here is bigger than a missing item -- it's the complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer care. When a guest raises a serious concern involving potential theft, the expectation is a coordinated, thoughtful response. Instead, I experienced deflection, inconsistency, and zero follow-through. For a hospitality business in a major market like Orlando, this is unacceptable. I would strongly caution others to think twice before staying here -- not because issues can't happen anywhere, but because how they are handled here falls far below any reasonable standard. read more

Stayed at Aventura Hotel recently for our trip to Universal and Disney earlier in March of this year. We enjoyed our stay of 5 nights and had a great time. We arrived early on the day of check in due because of a morning flight and the hotel staff were friendly and let us check in. On our first day there we checked in and dropped off our luggage and rode the ferry to city walk. We made reservations ahead of time to eat at the chocolate emporium and everything worked out perfectly. In terms of the pool, I would say it was pretty relaxing and not a lot of kids. However, it was perfect for me and my bf because we wanted to be able to enjoy the pool without so many kids. Throughout our stay we were able to check out the surrounding hotels and asked for amenities card to use the other pools. The food at Aventura was excellent. For breakfast we got Starbucks before heading to the parks and then we would eat in the park, city walk or come back and eat something at the hotel. Overall, I would definitely recommend Aventura for a more relaxing experience. It was quiet and had a good variety of food options. Definitely do recommend checking out the amenities at the other hotels like the lazy river in cabana bay. read more

Date of Stay: August 8, 2025 I believe I was treated unfairly and possibly discriminated against during my stay at Universal's Aventura Hotel. I was a registered guest, my name was on the reservation, and I paid with my own credit card. When I returned around 2-3 AM and requested a new key, showing my ID and card, I was refused without explanation. When I requested either a key or a refund, management instead told me to leave and called the police, resulting in a trespass warning banning me from all Universal properties. This ended my family vacation early and forced us to drive long-distance in poor weather, just hours after being served alcohol on their property. I have filed a discrimination complaint with the Florida Commission on Human Relations and will be pursuing legal remedies. I would encourage management to address how they treat paying guests, especially those from diverse backgrounds, and to put policies in place to avoid unsafe late-night removals. read more

Had the best stay here at the Aventura Hotel at Universal Orlando Resort. We were checked in by Genesis which was a great experience! She was very knowledgeable about the property. We opted for a theme park view and were on the 12th floor. Our view overlooked the parks and was great. Our room was clean, beds were comfy, and bathroom was great. The controls of the room are operated by an iPad that is in the room. Super cool. We ate downstairs at the Wok. $18 wok bowls with a protein, noodle, 5 veggies, and a sauce. Really really good. Pizzas are also very good. Thoroughly enjoyed the food here in the Urban Pantry. Will definitely stay here again. read more

Great hotel! A spacious, clean lobby and Scandinavian-ish design makes the stay pleasant. The tablet-based in-room controls for air conditioning, lights, etc. is great too. The staff mainly were efficient and friendly. A couple negatives: the resort shuttle busses lack a fixed schedule as far as I could tell, which means they arrive whenever they arrive. You'll have no idea how long you'll wait. Starbucks is located in the lobby, but they wouldn't let me redeem stars! I got some baloney about it being Starbucks-licensed but not an actual Starbucks. When on vacation, those legal distinctions make for on-the-ground bullshit, which most guests won't appreciate. The outdoor pool's great, but lacks a waterslide or other enhancements. Overall, Aventura's great. I'm done with Orlando for the next decade or so because at this time I'd prefer a tropical beach, national park, or overseas experience. But in the event Universal Orlando's on your agenda, Aventura's a great option. read more

We are older (60s) and did not find this hotel comfortable. The staff seemed curt and rushed, and we received conflicting information from different staff members -- even though we were there during a slow time. The bars were not crowded but service was very slow. Drinks were expensive and extremely watered down -- I watched a bartender pour about half an ounce of bourbon, fill the cup with ice, and top it off with water -- for $15. Our room was just okay. There is no separate switch for the vanity light, so turning it on activates all the lights and wakes anyone who is sleeping. The bathroom counter is extremely small and there is nowhere to hang a washcloth or face towel after using it. We didn't want to drop them on the floor, but there was no space on the small counter. With linen service only once during our 5-day stay, this was inconvenient. The in-room tablet is an interesting idea, but it only worked about half the time. It is large and heavy, and since the only place to sit and watch TV is on the bed, you either have to keep the tablet with you or keep getting up and going to the counter to change the channel. If you watch TV before going to sleep, you have to get out of bed to put the tablet back on the counter. Beds were comfortable and the elevators were fast, which were positives. Breakfast was odd. We ordered and were given a locator puck, which instructed us to set it on our table -- so we did. Fifteen minutes later it buzzed, but no one brought the food. We eventually went back to the counter where we had ordered and found our $50 breakfast just sitting there on a tray. Pizza was good and server was friendly and helpful. There are a couple of sitting areas to meet with others, but the lobby is mostly empty and not a good place to gather with friends or family. Besides cookies and chips, there is nothing you can buy for a snack -- no granola bars or healthier options -- and unless you want to Uber somewhere or bus to City walk, you are stuck buying the hotel's expensive food and drinks. They sent me a survey after our stay, and I did my best to give honest feedback. The only response I received was a typical form letter thanking me for my comments. :-( read more

Aventura may be the strangest resort you ever stay at. Clearly designed for a different purpose with oddly shaped rooms shoved into every angle, this "no theming for adults" Universal resort is just odd all around. Limited food services but a decent although tiny pool. Great views from rooms with layouts that will have you shaking your head in confusion and horrible noise issues in all issues throughout the resort. Seriously - the walls and doors are made of cardboard. Whatever you do, do not get a room near the elevator banks - you will be up all night. There is bus service to the parks, but it's much nicer to walk to Sapphire and take the boat. I might stay here again due to the price, but I certainly will regret it. read more

Bistro Bar 17 had poor service with a waitress who only catered to the party next to us. Our room had dirty toiletries. Shuttle bus was a joke. Always full of cabana bay guest. 2 shuttles arrived to our hotel packed and people that arrived behind us just cut the line and the bus driver did nothing. Ended up walking to CityWalk. Stayed at Universal Orlando Aventura hotel while on vacation. And we loved it. It's one of Universal'a newest hotels so it's very posh, very clean and very up to date. We stayed on a higher level floor facing the water park. The windows in our room were floor to ceiling and gave breath taking views. The room was larger than expected. The most shocking was the bathroom. It was extremely spacious with wall to wall counter space, storage space under the counter and the toilet is snugged against the shower. Our room was across next to elevator but we never heard anything from the hallways. There are plenty of elevators and we never has a long wait trying to catch one. The hotel itself is beautiful and well designed, every space is perfect and the hotel has a nice flow to it. The cafe is in back of hotel on first floor and has several made to order options. We ate there at least once a day while there. The food was tasty. There is plenty of seating in cafe and never was a long line to order nor a long wait to get our food. There is a covered bar outside near the pool. The bartenders were all so nice and held good conversation. There is also lots of activities you can do outside like ping pong and corn hole. The pool is sleek and was much more relaxing than I expected. I was concerned about kids being loud and splashing but each time we went to pool we barely saw any children there. Best part of hotel is its sit right next to Volcano Bay Water Park. Even has a private entrance for resort guest only. Gave hotel 4 stars for following reasons: 1. Not as many running shuttle buses. We found our selves constantly just walking across the street to catch shuttles from Cabana Bay Hotel as they run much more frequently there. 2. Lots of weed smoking outside the hotel on hotel grounds. When i mentioned this to the staff they didn't really seem bothered 3. People will try to sell you stuff. It was extremely annoying every time I walked back into the hotel to be asked if I was interested in learning more about what they were selling. 4. On our last night I noticed I was double charged. Two pending charges on my bank account. Spoke to front desk and they swore to me one of them wouldn't process and would fall off. A few days later I checked and both processed. When I called the hotel from home the lady who answered seemed annoyed and wouldn't fully listen to me. She kept cutting me off and saying it would fall off. I had to ask to speak to supervisor and thankfully that person acknowledged there was an error. The second charge was reversed and the money was back in my account within 3 days. Overall I would recommend this hotel for those visiting Orlando. I wouldn't recommend for families with younger children but more so for families with teens and older. read more

3.5 stars We stayed at Aventura for a night to add a staycation to our Halloween Horror Nights ticket. We were able to check in early, before noon, which was great! Friendly service at the front desk. The room was clean and modern, but on the smaller side and pretty plain as far as theming and decor. Loved the floor-to-ceiling windows and theme park/Volcano Bay views and enjoyed the convenience of changing the temperature and lighting with the iPad in the room. The pool was small and placed close to a main road, but was not crowded and good for adult lounging. Pool bar had great staff and a good array of frozen drinks. The lobby was pretty plain and modern as well - not a lot of theming happening at this resort! Urban Pantry (quick service) was decent, but did not have a huge array of options like other Universal resorts. Enjoyed the walkability to CityWalk and the bus transport was timely as well. Overall, this resort would be ideal for adults hoping for a clean place to stay and not spending a lot of time at the resort. Not a lot to do for kids - would not recommend this resort for families! If you're looking for the best bang for your buck on Universal property with fun theming, big pools, and good food options, head over to Cabana Bay or Endless Summer. Nothing terribly wrong here, but not my favorite for a staycation! read more

So bummed the hot tub has been out the entire time we have been here. We picked the hotel based on amenities and the hot tub was a big deal. Foods been okay and the staffs been great but let down about the amenities. Here for two more days and hope it improves. read more

Since it's not a deluxe hotel, it doesn't include the express pass unlimited. Got a end of the hallway room on the side. First thing I saw is how thin walls are, paper thin walls. I can hear people near the elevator and I'm very far from it. I hear every movement from people in rooms around me on any floor. Same problem thru the window, can hear everything from outside. The room itself is weirdly divided. It's like one big open area. There's only 1 side table for the bed since the bed is nearly in the window and it's pretty useless cause there's the phone, a very big lamp and a big tablet that controls everything on it. There's 4 outlets and 2 usb connections but good luck using them. The sink for the bathroom is outside the actual bathroom in a separate side room but it's open to the rest of the room. Which means no privacy at all if you have stuff to do at the sink like shaving. There is also some usb connectors near the tv (1 out of 2 broken). The wall where the Ac is was half open and found out it's in dire need of cleaning. The big window doesn't protect from the heat much so when the Ac stop, you get lots of heat thru the window and shades. It also non stop crack because of heat and cold making you jump everytime thinking the window will explode. It's also impossible to have a dark room at night cause there's light bleeding everywhere and lots of light source in the room. The bed is very firm and can require some used to it if you don't sleep on this type of bed. There's also a sofa with a bed in it. There is a very small tv and a Bluetooth speaker. The tv is pretty small and controlled from a tablet. You can use Chromecast. They do housekeeping everyday, which doesn't mean fresh sheets. On fact we found out they only make the bed even if it's dirty. End even worst, the fitted sheet is never properly installed. On day 2, no more hot water in the room, phone was broken and tablet wasn't charging. Had to go back at entrance to have someone dispatch and fix all of this. On my return, the tv stopped working and the tablet refused to have YouTube working. I rebooted everything but didn't solved it. I manage to have the tv back by using Chromecast then switch back to tv, but YouTube stayed non working . My girlfriend key stopped working in the morning, cannot open any gate and needed a new key. Mine stopped opening my room during the afternoon but I could open other gate. On day 3? Again no hot water and tv not working. The food as many offering. It's a cafeteria style. It's not very high quality for the price and close at 10pm most nights. I ended going to sapphire to eat often instead. There's no way to get a fan in the room. So if you need that to sleep like me, bring one yourself. The room only have a small fridge that seems to struggle to be cold, no microwave, freezer or other. This hotel is a volcano bay hotel, less then 3 minutes and you're at the gate. Just go to the pool, exit the back door and boom you're at the gate. You can take the ferry boat from sapphire or use the garden walkway which will take about 15 to 20 minutes to reach city walk. There's also shuttle bus at the door that run each 15 min or so. The laundry room use credit card ($3) and have a soap and softener distributor. 1$ for the soap. But you must create an account to use credit card on dryer, 5$ minimum. Was unable to use credit card on washer. There is a "dj" on top floor during night with bar. But be aware, after 10pm, no more food like anywhere else at Aventura. They use a robot for room delivery. I probably won't stay here again. Too many problem and I was expecting way more quality for the latest of universal hotel. read more

Great value and example of getting what you pay for. Depending on the day and season, the rate for Aventura ranges from $157-$210 a night. Customer service was friendly, prompt, and the interactive iPad in the rooms were very helpful and resourceful. I checked out using the iPad as well. Aventura is a more modern hotel as opposed to Disney/Universal themed - which is perfectly fine by me as I'm an adult enjoying Universal. The inside is very clean, modern, and spacious. It comes with a mini-fridge, clean bathrooms, etc. There is a shuttle that runs from Aventura to the Universal Park, and it takes about 5 minutes and it comes every 10-15 minutes to pick up and drop off. I do wonder about Florida having a lot of late hotel check-ins at 4pm and early check-outs at 11am. I wish that it was honestly the other way around, or that check-in could be earlier and or that check-out could be later than 11am. There is a room dedicated to holding luggage, however, and the hotel does let you utilize the amenities even before you've checked in - so if you need to change to go to the park, they'll hold onto your belongings for you. I don't generally stay onsite but since I got a free HHN pass this year, I had to come back to make sure it got used! Aventura was reasonably priced and relatively modern so I decided to give it a try. I was so grateful they were able to allow me to check in early so I didn't have to carry a heavy backpack around with me all day. (This May not always be the case so YMMV) The room itself was very modern and clean. My room was facing the park but mostly a view of the hotel across the way (cabana bay). The only issue was with the bedding. The whole lower half of the long body/throw pillows was discolored/stained and there was a small spot on the duvet. Everything else was great though. I loved being able to control the lights and room temp from the iPad by the bed. Cool touch especially when you don't want to get out of bed to turn off that last light or bump the temp down a few notches! I didn't really have issues with the elevators. I think I might have shared one with a family once but I came and went at weird times (after the morning park rush and then didn't come back until almost midnight from HHN), so YMMV there as well. read more

We have stayed at Aventura multiple times since they opened and have always had the best time! The standard rooms are good but the deluxe rooms are superior! Especially if you can get a high floor the views are great. The shower had great water pressure, beds are comfortable & a short walk to the theme parks. Aventura is one of our favorite on site hotels for Universal Orlando. If it is available make sure to request candy from the robot at the lobby. read more

First time staying here. We really enjoyed our two nights. Everything went smoothly. We even had our friends come join us for drinks the first night. They live in Orlando but hadn't heard of this hotel. They liked it as well. Our room was clean and comfy. We loved the tablet in the room that controls tv, AC, lights, room service, alarm, and more. The views of Volcano Bay were awesome. We took the free water taxi to Islands which is accessible from Sapphire Falls next door, a brief 5 min walk. They have a huge garage pkg lot. Nice rooftop bar and a variety of food selections on the first floor including gelato. Staff was awesome. $330 for two nights including parking, taxes and early access to Islands. If you have children, this is the hotel to book your reservations with. They will be in absolute amazement at their room - what little time they actually do spend in it! On a recent trip to Universal Studios parks, we booked three skyline view rooms, with one of them being the kids' suite. All rooms were very comfortable with a great view, as promised. Front desk staff is excellent. They were very helpful and accommodating, both with check in, questions we had regarding shuttles to the parks and with storing and handling our luggage. I phoned in our reservations, since I wanted all three rooms to be on the same floor. After that, I did everything online. You can pre-check in the night before online. Make sure to list every guest (including children) that will be staying in your room(s). When you do physically check in, each guest - including the kids - gets a souvenir key pass to the room with their name on it (all Universal themed characters), and this key pass also allows you to enter the park one hour early in the morning. We arrived way before actual check in time (which I believe is 4 PM), so the hotel securely tagged and stored our luggage until we returned back to the hotel. We all received text messages when our rooms were ready and easily gained access to our rooms after retrieving our luggage that evening. After an exhausting day at one of the parks, we all just wanted to take a shower and pass out! Prep by the hotel made it super easy to do just that. The kids' suite was breathtaking. One wall of the room is floor-to-ceiling windows, and the kids' suite room curves around so that you can see the entirety of both main parks. My grandchildren were astounded!! That view and experience made the stay very special for them. As stated before, when you stay here, you do have one-hour early access to the parks. Do yourself a favor and download the Universal app to check park hours and which of the parks is granting early access. When we stayed, Universal Studios had no early access, but Islands of Adventure did. So, on the day we arrived (after opening), we went to Universal Studios and saved the Islands of Adventure side for when we could get in at 8 AM. Note that even though you're IN the park, not all attractions are operative until 9 AM, though. The Harry Potter section was completely open at 8 AM, which did attract a large crowd. Starbucks, a Universal Studios store and several other restaurants are located on the first floor. Everyone should find something that works for them, but be aware that prices in these restaurants (along with every other eatery on the Universal compound) are NOT cheap. Prepare to pay between $3 and $5 per bottle of water, so adjust the prices up from there for more substantial items. Starbucks prices, however, were reasonable, and coffee was all any of us wanted, since we had brought breakfast items for the kids with us when we came. Free shuttle bus to the parks at the front door, or you can walk across the parking lot to the Sapphire Falls Resort and catch the water taxi (which is what we did). Nice way to get to the park! Or, you can walk it along a paved walkway, which takes about 15 minutes from hotel to park entrance. A really good hotel. Not a five-star like the Waldorf or the Ritz-Carlton, but it was plenty good enough for us, and the kids absolutely loved it. Would not hesitate to book here again if I'm heading to the Universal parks. read more
