There were a few items I had to reach out about (smoke alarm was dismantled and pool alarm not working) but they came quickly to look at it and got everything taken care of. The repair man was really nice and made sure we were good before he left. The location was great. We were a little away from all the touristy stuff so we didn't feel crowded everywhere we went but we were close to places of convenience and only about 20-30 minutes from any parks we wanted stop go to. I would absolutely recommend staying here and will use them again for future stays in the area.

No big deal, we are in Florida and it's hot right a couple of ants is probably normal. I did a once over. The carpet dirty, there are spots all over the walls with some crayon areas as well and there it was. A roach or two. I immediatley said to my husband. This had better be an isolated thing.. We put the kids down and went to bed as i got up the next morning and came down stairs.. There were a few more roaches. Then we looked in the game room and more. I called Shine and she apologized stating they hadn't had any previous claims. My thought.. there is no way. As I am talking to her I look around and there are sticky traps in places. So immediately knew they lied. Now they did send an exterminator for "the areas" that they claim are affected but the whole house is affected. It's roaches everywhere. We took our clothes to the car and I emailed them today.. I think they are now ignoring us. My mom came and is handicap so we can't just leave but we have been out of the house most of the time but she has a wheelchair that was delivered for her to get around so leaving is a little harder than that. We will be out of here immediately but I want others to know! DO NOT rent this home from Shine until they can confirm the bugs and areas have been taken care of. DISGUSTING!!!!

Upon arrival, we were placed in a room that reeked of a foul odor. Despite immediately informing your staff, nothing was done to move us. After investigating myself, I found the source of the smell--a soiled carpet in the far rear room on the right. It was only after I insisted that a staff member come to the room to experience the smell and see the soiled carpet that we were moved. The new room, while not as odorous, was still far below acceptable standards. The furnishings were outdated, lizards were entering the room, and the smoke alarm beeped incessantly throughout our first night. Additionally, condensation caused the return vent to leak, creating a hazardous environment. Furthermore, the condition of the bathroom was deplorable. The caulk around the tub was crumbling, and the jets for the jetted tub had deposits and rust, which I had to clean before using. To my disgust, I also found long, stringy hair in the tub. The freezer and refrigerator were filthy, with visible dirt and grime. Even the white towels had hair remnants on them, indicating a lack of proper laundering. On top of that, I found what appeared to be rodent droppings in the room. The sponges provided were cut in half to presumably save costs, raising concerns about whether sterile scissors were used. There was a hole under the sink in the kitchen leading to the tub area, cracked tiles on the floor, and hair in the side dresser drawer that did not belong to us. The floor and carpets were dirty throughout the room, and there were loose toilet tissue holders and electrical outlets that would not hold my iPhone chargers, further contributing to the unsanitary state of the room. On the second day, I requested a broom to manage the mess, especially given that we have a toddler crawling around. I was shocked to be informed that no brooms were available for guests and that housekeeping only cleaned on Wednesdays. This information was not provided at check-in, nor was I told that I needed to specifically request housekeeping services. To make matters worse, we woke up Wednesday morning to find the hallway flooded with water from the AC leaking from the ceiling. We left for Disney and was unable to inform the maintenance of the leak because we were out all day and hoped the housekeeping staff would see that we attempted to clean up the leak with our body towels to clean the floor because no cleaning supplies were provided. With a toddler, this situation was not only unsanitary but also dangerous. We gathered the trash and placed the soiled towels in a pile, expecting them to be retrieved and replaced during the scheduled cleaning on Wednesday. Instead, we returned to find the room in the same state. The front desk staff then informed me that it was my fault for not specifically requesting a cleaning, despite her previous assurance that cleaning was done on Wednesdays. When I expressed my frustration and concern for my family's health and safety, the front desk staff was dismissive and unhelpful. She mentioned that she didn't need the job and was only working for extra money, showing a complete lack of empathy or responsibility. She even blamed me for not leaving on the first day if I was unhappy and insisted that it was my fault for not knowing I needed to request specific services, despite the lack of clear communication at check-in. The excessive trash left in the room caused my toddler to trip and hit her head on the hard tile floor, which caused her to bite her tongue and draw blood. This incident could have been easily avoided if the room had been cleaned or even if the floor had been swept when I requested it. This experience has been distressing and has significantly impacted what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. I rely on clear communication and support from the facilities we stay in to ensure my family's safety and comfort. The conditions we faced were not only unsanitary but also dangerous, especially for my toddler. As a disabled Veteran, I've slept in worse conditions while deployed; but I wasn't paying a fee to live in deplorable conditions. I was unprepared for the condition of this timeshare location, but only decided to share my experience after Tawanna (sic) insisted on asserting my failures by choosing to stay here instead of acknowledging that a miscommunication occurred and presented a solution with empathy.

I had to go back. I requested a resort map, which should have been in the resort folder, they told me they didn't have one. She finally walked me to the laundry. She told me the cost but it too was wrong and I had to pay more. The laundry room was so small (closet like) the dryer door wouldn't open completely. The room was tacky & dated, the tile floor was sticky, and the mattresses were the worst I've even come across. We had to ask the desk to change our room or mattress because it was so old & and uncomfortable. It was like sleeping n a hole. They said they changed it but I think they just turned it around. I had to sleep in the middle, out of the hole, but it was Very uncomfortable. My husband ended up shoving the old comforter under his side of the mattress to be able to sleep. My son said the room looked like a Spring Break room with its two sleeper sofas in the living room. Also we were coerced into attending a time share presentation with an awful (worse than any fast food restaurant breakfast ever. Originally we were told the presentation would be very brief, we arrived & were told 1hour but it took over 90 minutes. The presentation staff were typically pushy and the "finance" person was so incredibly rude. I would never recommend anyone staying here.

I loved the how to train your Dragon suite…read more I underestimated how much I would love this room. I watched videos and saw pictures of what it looked like, but I don't feel like it really does it justice. Part of me wishes that we sprung for the park view, but the price was about double then the standard how to train your Dragon suite, so I couldn't justify paying for that. However, what was surprising was the weekend we went how to train your Dragon suite was just slightly more than a standard room with Park views. I absolutely believe if you're traveling with young children. It is worth giving up that park view to have this suite. Supposedly there are only 14 in the entire hotel which surprise me, so you do want to book it early because they sell out. What made this room so special to me is the fact that the kids had their own room that were fully how to train your Dragon themed. We watched the movie right before going so they would get excited again. The beds are beautiful and they enjoyed the mural behind them. If you're worried about your kids having a TV in their room, it turns out that there is one remote control for all three TVs so I just took the remote control with me. There's also a sitting room which was great because then my husband could watch the soccer matches while both myself and the kids slept and then a bedroom for the parents. You get a separate bathroom as well so it feels like a lot of space. There are tablets in every single room where you can control the lights order food and learn more about the hotel. The hotel itself is stunning. I'm surprised by the lack of food options though, we went to bar Helios one night and it was amazing. They do have a kids menu that they don't advertise online. The major perk of this hotel is the entrance to the park. They opened line to get in at 8 AM which was an hour before early entry. Honestly, I think we could've gotten a little later because then you were stuck waiting in the sun outside for early entry. If you are trying to rope drop Ministry of magic this is definitely the hotel for you. You are right next to the ministry of magic land. Later in the day when my son came back for a nap and we wanted to go see the mystery magic show. It took us five minutes from leaving our room to getting to Ministry of magic. It's that fast. Especially because later in the day there is absolutely no one going through the security. The pool is OK. I do prefer Disney pools with their splash pads, but this one was nice enough and they do have people that come and take your order. The food was much better than any Disney resort we've stayed at. We were able to check in at noon and surprisingly our room was ready. I appreciate that parking is all parking garage so your car stays cool and also it is right next to the hotel so you don't have to walk far to bring in your luggage. Overall, we loved our stay here and if we ever come back to epic universe, I would stay here again.

He even said, "It's on the second floor -- it's not like someone will walk in." That is absolutely unacceptable. A woman traveling with her young child should never be told to "just deal with" an unlocked door -- especially after flying halfway across the world. And the lock wasn't the only problem. The room was in terrible condition: A fist-sized hole in the bedframe A dishwasher hanging out of the cabinet A filthy, disgusting balcony that clearly hadn't been cleaned And generally rundown, unsafe conditions throughout When she pointed these issues out, staff claimed these were "not reasons" to move her. She ended up having to pay for another hotel (SpringHill Suites) that same night, just so her family could feel safe. This is not just bad service -- it's a complete failure of basic safety and hospitality standards. Refusing to relocate a family because they "booked through a third party" is an excuse, not a justification. If you value your safety or even basic respect, do not stay here.

The location is pretty deserted so I do recommend having a vehicle or renting one for your stay. We were placed in a third floor unit which can be a bit cumbersome with luggage so if you have any mobility limitations definitely be sure to voice that at the time of check in. The mattress in our unit desperately needs to be replaced it was like sleeping on box springs its was so thin and squeeky. When I go on vacay and am anxious to get back home before the vacay is even over that's definitely a red flag. This property has potential but I don't see myself referring them to anyone time soon.

They also had multiple luggage carts which not all of the resorts have. There is a beautiful pool area with hot tub and a small kids pool. There is also a volleyball net and a life size chess board located in the pool area. There is also a basketball court, tennis court, movie theater, activity center and game room. There are daily activities planned. Some are free, some have an additional cost. We had a 3 bedroom with full kitchen, multiple bathrooms and washing machine inside the room. The outside patio was closed in and had an overhead fan which was a nice touch. Overall the staff were friendly. However, there were a few that seemed like you were bothering them if you asked for something or asked questions. Checkout was very easy. I would stay here again if the option was available.

We also had TV over desk area with chair. Toilet and shower had a door, next to sink area. Hot water was immediately available. Light was too bright, and needed a shade. Breakfast was amazing. It had our favorite breakfast items (scrambled eggs, sausage, Raisin Bran, orange juice and cranberry juice). Dining area was bright, clean and spacious. We saw the pool outside and wished that we had time to enjoy it. We will definitely return to this property for all its amenities, great staff, and ideal location.

AND you will NOT believe this: NO DOOR TO THE BEDROOM!!! Or This: NO DRESSERS. Anyone watching TV gets a good view of anything in the bedroom. Too bad...the place was nice before this wacky renno.
