After training in the boxing classes for 15 months we finally transitioned into the Jiu Jitsu program with Joe Stevenson and Coach Mike. My daughter finally got involved too at the gym and now both my kids do Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai. This gym is really great and there is a sense of community and family here. The kids are all respectful to each other and the coaches really emphasize this. The coaches and staff are all amazing and there is a wide variety of classes not just for kids but for adults too. The instruction of the Combatives curriculum has been solid. It always leaves me wanting to learn and come back to continue my journey. Aaron, Mikey, Danny, Christina have all been great instructors. The other classmates, peers who are more advanced make it a welcome environment for newbies like myself and are all willing to teach and break down the moves that I may struggle with. After 4 months I can say the more often I go, the more often I want to return. Today was a welcome surprise as Christina called me up to the front at the end of class to give me my first stripe. The negative review is not from real students/families. The neighboring business has had friends attack this awesome school over people parking in front of their business in an open parking lot. My husband and I have been training at this school for about 10 years. Master Peecher has so much joy for teaching that it really shows through! I have health issues that limit my abilities, and that's okay. Master Peecher stresses that it's one's own journey, so you only compete with yourself. He has so much patience for us all. There are and have been many special needs/autistic students. We are all treated with respect and patience.
