It was extremely rude when me and my husband walked in for a light fixture that we thought wasn't working and we bring it to the lady at the desk front and she goes to call a guy to come check it out and goes on to say " here's another one we are gonna have to start charging people for this" jokingly which it didn't seem like a joke with the smirk on her face. Then the electrician that was checking the light fixture ha started questioning my husband's credentials and called him a liar which was extremely unprofessional in my opinion especially arguing with customers in front of other people! The owner helped me every step of the way, from figuring out the style, material, size of the fixture for the room, the length it needed to be hung and even picking out the bulbs needed for each fixture. This place has so many lights you are dazzled when you walk in The staff was very friendly and once we gave him an idea of what we wanted he took us to an area full of choices. He then went online and found some more options that we ended up choosing. They are ordered and will be in on my next stop in about 2 weeks. My wife is happy that she gets to replace the 5 year old fixtures with new ones that will give off more light. I will post pic when they are installed . Wow! We walked into this place and the DISRESPECT!! I have kids under the age of nine. The lady at the desk asked me if I had mask for my kids. I said no.. she said oh well I do. I explained that my kids don't have to wear one and said yes they do. I proceeded and put mask on my kids for "safety " ... then they proceeded to follow us around. My kids were scared and my nine year old was like mommy why is the creepy lady following us and just staring at us. Was the most UNPLEASANT experience. Went in to replace SEVEN of our chandelier but definitely lost my service! No wonder they have 3 stars! AWFUL customer service! read more

Knowledgeable, friendly and competitive pricing! This is just the beginning of my relationship with this wonderful retailer, but I can't help but give rave reviews! Where do I begin!?! I was looking for a light fixture and I was led to UL via a manufacturer's website. I was mainly looking to see if the UL store carried the fixture I was seeking and to verify a design/installation element! So when I called, Ms. Velma didint hesitate to have me come into the store at 5:30 even though they were scheduled to close at 6 pm. When I got there I ended up getting to work with the owner's son Michael. He took copious notes and listened intently to my questions about this fixture. But then, I stared asking him about another fixture I had taken a picture of but couldn't identify my maker. He searched multiply catalogs and the internet past 6 o'clock to no avail; however, he assured me that he would locate the fixture if I was willing to email the pic to him. So I did. At hardly 10:45 am the next day, Michael had located the mystery fixtures AND he had already contacted company #1 about my install questions. I came in that afternoon to place my order and the icing on the cake was they BEAT EVERY INTERNET PRICE I had found! I'm a savvy online shopper but sometimes one needs this kind of special care, advice, and legwork, knowledge and patience of true professionals. I had a vision of what I wanted in my home and Michael helped me make it happen. Michael was able to assist me with everything from an electrician to cabinet knobs. Racist, Demeaning and Very Unprofessional.. wouldn't recommend even buying a light bulb there . They are so not reliable, they tell their customers one thing and then ends up being something else. Don't get me started on the lady at the desk ... she's so Racist it doesn't even make sense. I over heard her trying to figure out if a customer was still here while I was browsing for lights , she asked one of her employees if the "Asian lady " was still here . Like ? Not an easy place to find if you are not familiar with the area. Presentation ok, sufficient inventory. First and last visit here, need lamps, 36-42" tall with a maximum base of 7". Tape measure I had, only one staff person did I meet, a woman who offered me her tape measure. She did not indicate if lamps could be taken out on approval of if I could return the lamps if they did not fit the space or suggest an allternative other than her comment, "spend the $ and do it right, wire sconces into the brick." Unsolicited advice might work, poor ROI. Did not state that she had installation services available. Prices triple key or more. read more

RACIST EMPLOYEE; POC spend your money elsewhere. I visited this store on Saturday 4/10/21. There was an employee assisting a customer and an elderly white female employee at the counter working with another customer. I was standing at a table in front of the counter about 14 feet away. The elderly white female employee looked up at me several times making eye contact, never acknowledging me or stating someone would be with me shortly. I was in shorts and a tee shirt because I was working on a project and needed a particular size down rod, which I had called ahead to ensure was in stock. A well dressed female Asian customer rushed through the door and was greeted by the elderly white female employee, the Asian customer rudely stated "I'm here to pick up my order." I continued to patiently wait wondering if there was anyone else who could assist me. The elderly white female employee asked a young employee, Michael?, if he could assist the Asian employee by bringing her order out. Finally the elderly white female employee finished with the first customer and immediately turned her attention to the Asian customer. Needless to say I'm perturbed but don't want to cause a scene. Finally Michael? asked if he could help me, which he did. While waiting for Michael to ring me up, he was called away for something else. An elderly gentlemen asked if he could help me. At this point I was completely pissed because the elderly white female completely ignored me, and never offered any assistance. I informed the elderly gentlemen what had transpired and how the elderly white female ignored me and chose to help the Asian customer first, even though I had been there long before she stormed through the door. The employee stated she didn't even see me, which is BS because I was standing right in front of her the entire time no more than 14 feet away! She immediately began to state she's "not like that." I can only deduce that she's been accused of being racist in the past. Now I never called her racists, but I give her credit for being self-aware. The elderly gentleman apologized profusely. There's no doubt she's racist. There's no doubt she knew I was there. There's no doubt she assumed I couldn't afford to shop there. When in fact as I informed the elderly gentlemen that my wife and I have spent thousands of dollars in his store over the past few years. Although he apologized, she never did. Based on his response, and the other reviews, this is not the first time POC have had issues in this store. read more

Ronni is super sweet, always available and get's us the best deal anywhere. They will also beat internet prices and can order anything you want!!! No interest in doing business with them again due to the rude/nasty female owner who stated "she didn't need anymore inventory" when I asked if she had a certain piece in stock and she proceeded to grumble regarding a return I was making.
