After having a not so great experience at another local shoe repair place that's not really a shoe…read morerepair place but rather a shoe store trying to get you to not repair your shoe & spend double the price on new shoes, I decided to drive a little further & find a real shoe repair place. This place was the 1 that popped up with the best reviews. Indeed it is a tiny hole in the wall joint. It is very easy to miss. It's literally a little house next to the TD bank that's right next to Vito's pizza. You walk in & immediately the smell of rubber & shoe polish slaps you in the face. Eventually an old little man comes to to help you. He's very short & direct with his customer services skills but looks like he knows what he's doing from the wear & tear on his hands & face. I hand him my $300 boots from a couple seasons ago that I love & tell him I want to resole them & shine them up. Basically make them look new again bc all the salt & snow from last year really did a number on the soles. He looks them over & tells me, "It's going to cost a lot." I ask how much & he tells me $45. I tell him these are good, expensive boots that are worth it. You have to leave 50% deposit on your job. I decided to pay the full amount & that way I can just pick them up when I come back next week for them. I'll finish up my review next week when I pick them up & report on the work it self. But I'm sure it will be quite promising as these mom&pop places are always the best at doing these jobs. ******** As expected, my boots look good as new. I agreed to this solution, as the zipper was missing teeth. However, instead of installing a proper stopper, they simply used super glue--without informing me. When I came to pick up my bags, the zipper slider broke right in the staff member's hand as he was showing me the repair. I was unable to take my items home. The next day, I called and spoke with someone else who told me that, in fact, the zipper could be replaced--directly contradicting what I was originally told. When I calmly requested a refund, I was hung up on. This experience felt dishonest and unprofessional. I expected transparency and quality work, especially when dealing with luxury items.

Please don't go here to get your luggage repaired - I had a very frustrating experience…read more My carry on has a zipper to extend the bag which fell off the track on one side so I found this place to fix it. He looks at my bag from the outside and starts opening the stitch which I was nervous about but he told me not worry. He then puts another zipper on the track which he said is stronger and will prevent it breaking off again. He then finally opens the inside of the bag to start the stitch and noticed he can't see the spine of the zipper because I have a compartment overlapping it so he pokes holes and stitches through the material without even looking at the other side including the mesh portion which I did not want because I was nervous the mesh would tear if I used this pocket. He became upset and took the stitch out and then did a very sloppy job of a hand stitch - look at the pictures. I was upset and by this time he just wanted his money. By the time I got to my car, one of the stitches already fell out. I had to go to another repair shop which sewed it by a machine and was much more sturdy. I will never come back to this place again.

Not only did they do an excellent job fixing the boots, but they also polished up at least 2 pairs that were really starting to show abuse. Their prices are reasonable. They aren't the friendliest people, but they do an awesome job, so if they don't want to chit-chat, that's totally fine with me. They were even honest about 2 different pairs (brought in at different times) that wouldn't be worthwhile or look very good after repairs. I greatly appreciated that they told me in advance that it wouldn't look good or hold up. They very easily could have taken the boots, fixed them, received the money and not said anything. I don't even know of another shoe repair shop in the area. My mom had been using them for YEARS before she sent me to them, and she was always very pleased with the results and prices.
