STAY AWAY IS MY RECOMMENDATION! Ordered a sign, and was one delay after another delay. They kept promising tomorrow, and then tomorrow again. It seemed like tomorrow was never coming, and when it did, you wished it was yesterday and tomorrow never did come! This company says they're in business for almost 15 years, you would think my sign was the first one they ever made and the first one they ever installed. Letters were produced crooked and uneven, and installed even worse. Colors which were supposed to one color turned out to be 12 different shades of the color. SIGN COMPANIES BEWARE if you do any work for Universal Signs And Service - They do not pay their vendors- VERY Bad business to do business with. Amber M., Rick L.. and Freddie M. with Universal Signs And Service hired us to survived, retained permits and installation of the Carolina Hemp signage here in Rock Hill, SC. Universal Signs stated they had a deadline to meet on this, as We completed this job way ahead of deadline. Sent Universal Signs the invoice and completion pictures and received a message that everything looks great and they would forward invoice to AP As we always do we sent AP, Amber M., Rick L. and Freddie M, a friendly reminder 7 days before invoice is due. Received a read receipt but no reply. Called them a few days after due date and AP tells me they are waiting on the person to sign the check. Follow up email 30 days past due. Received a read receipt but no reply. Called and they would not answer so I called from another phone and when I announced who I was with they hung up on me. 60 days past due sent final notice of past due. Received a read receipt but no reply. 80 days past due - I called AP (accounts payable) and told the guy answering the phone I was with Carolina Hemp and accounts payable finely answered, Michael was very rude and informed me that she has the check in a stamped envelop on her desk and will get it in the mail the following business day. I replied with "Great. thank you. So we should receive this in 5- 7 business day". and she replies, "No. The mail will not be running in NY anymore" and then she hung up on me. I finally call Carolina Hemp to let them know the issues we have had with Universal Signs And Service and they called Universal Signs And Service in which Universal Signs And Service informed them they do not pay invoices for 120 business days...Sound like a front and monkey business. WTITW! =/ If Carolina Hemp continues to recommend Universal Signs And Service to other companies, I have to question their business ethics as it is not Universal Signs And Service giving the great service. I spent thousands with them and they deliver a shit product (late & partially completed) with shit customer service to go along with it. And that's If ur lucky!!!
