Here's the short version - If you and or your family find yourself in need of an Estate Liquidator,…read moredon't waste your time interviewing anyone else but Susanna Burns. She and her team are professional, they know how to set up an Estate sale to make it appealing to your eye, they market well, they know how to price, and they do what they say they will do within the timeframes given. We could not have been happier with the job they did for us. Long version - After my mother passed away, we were faced with the daunting task of cleaning out her house and preparing it for sale. We began by obtaining a dumpster and disposing of many, many, items that we deemed to have no value and be worthless. MISTAKE. Susanna could have sold much of what we disposed of and probably saved us some on the dump fees. I was amazed at what people will buy. When we interviewed Susanna she arrived on time, was dressed professionally, and came prepared with her insurance certificate, business license, a bond, and references. She explained the whole process to us (from discovering what is in the house all the way through final cleanup). After we selected her team, we discussed timing of the process and the sale. She had some very smart insight about timing, in that the sale should be long enough past Christmas that people feel like they have some spending money in their pocket again. Once they got to work, her associate Eddie took the lead is setting up the sale. They grouped items intelligently, attractively, and appropriately. Their staging of items conveys to buyers that the sale is professionally run. They priced everything in the sale, even brought in an outsider to value the art that my mother had collected over the years (sadly none were Rembrandts ). Once the sale was complete, they disposed of everything that had not sold (as they said they would), and turned over an empty vacuumed house ready to start the real estate sale process. Throughout the process Susanna and Eddie kept us informed and apprised of the whole process. My siblings and I were very happy with the whole process and the results. Since our sale, I have had the opportunity to attend estate sales put on by other companies. Dare I say they don't come close to representing an estate the way Susanna and her team do. Like I said at the beginning, don't waste your time interviewing anyone other than Burns Estate Liquidators. You will end up hiring BEL anyways.

Very nice, professional and I was able to get an appraisal over the phone. Save me time, and money.read more

There were the usual items for daily living as well as the items he enjoyed collecting. He was also an artist, so the tools he used for his craft were also in the home. Cortnee and her team were highly respectful of the fact that we were clearing out the space that our loved one had called home. They were careful and kind with their questions too. Many of the items sold for higher than I would have expected, and then there were some that sold lower. I felt the initial pricing was fair as well as their negotiated prices. I feel that they truly honored our loved one and they balanced our wishes with the desire we had to sell the items we no longer needed. Typically, they have things discounted on the final day of the sale. My assumption is that is to allow as many things to sell as possible for their clients. Since they did the sale for the items from my FIL's home, I've gone to a few of their sales in the area. I enjoy the hunt for great items that still have some life left in them. The staff from Attic To Basement greets me with smiles and remembers me every time. The photos show before they helped us, the set up for the sale, and after it was all cleared out by them. I recommend this company to anyone looking to have a team handle the items within the estate of loved ones (or even items within a home you are selling and no longer need) to price, sell, and clear out the home.

I contacted 4 estate companies in the Sacramento region for an estate and Affinity was my favorite so far. Being a remote home owner whom inherited an Davis estate suddenly, having someone who is both careful and understanding to try to rehome vs trash out my aunt's prized but mundane possessions is very comforting. The other vendors weren't bad at all they just lacked the time, insurance (omg!) Coverage, or personal touch that Pam and her team are pitching. I'll update my review once we actually do the estate sale, but from my experience with corporate franchise Grasons in Orange county and the local vendors here, Affinity is a solid mom & pop type operator in the estate sales field.

I purchased an item that had a sticker indicating it came with two pieces. I admit I should have read it more carefully before leaving and paying but after realizing the missing piece, I simply went back to ask about it hoping to there to be no misunderstanding once I came back to ask. She was immediately dismissive, frustrated, and raised her voice as I asked. She insisted she only charged me $2 for the item. I brought back everything I purchased and explained that I had calculated the total and believed I had paid the full price. I remembered she had written down each item's price while calculating, so I politely asked if she could double check the transaction. Rather than taking a moment to look into it, she refused, ACCUSED me of hiding items, and claimed I shouldn't have taken one piece of they were supposed to be together in the first place. I wasn't asking for anything for free I was only asking for clarification since I technically paid for two items. I was honestly caught off guard by how dismissive and disrespectful the interaction became over a simple question. Even if there was a misunderstanding, I don't think anyone deserves to be spoken to that way and unjustly accused/blame.

Because the property was a floating home, holding an on-site estate sale was not possible, and with the pending sale we did not have time for a traditional liquidation process. We initially found an estate company that would have been ideal, but they ultimately determined that the job was beyond their scope. We then contacted Sorted Estates, and the experience was exceptional. Because we were working remotely, all coordination had to be done through photographs. We sent as many images as possible and explained that our goal was to have the floating home completely cleared. They provided an estimate based on that information and followed through exactly as promised. On the scheduled day, they arrived with two trucks and a five-person crew. By the end of the day, the home was entirely empty, with two full truckloads delivered to donation sites. Communication throughout the process was clear, responsive, and professional. Given the constraints and complexity of the situation, their performance was genuinely impressive.
