Vehicle covered in pine straw while waiting on service department. Roof, hood, everything was covered.

So this review is for the service department ONLY, we bought a vehicle from university Kia and that was a pretty positive experience. So the vehicle we bought came with an extended warranty that this dealership sales and advertises for. We had an issue with our vehicle and made an appointment to drop off first thing In the morning. We were 2nd in line. We were told right off the bat that it would sit there until after the weekend before someone would even look at it. We obliged and decided to leave it for our convenience. Fast forward to Tuesday of the next week. No word. We call at the end of the business day and get told they are waiting on another dealership for info. Okay. Next day, end of day, call back and was told it was $900+ dollars to fix. I then had to tell them again, after telling the same 2 people at the initial check in, that the repair was covered under the warranty they sale. Next we apparently wait for them to contact the warranty company and get approval for the repair. At this point I finally get someone on the phone and am told the part is ordered and it will be ready Friday/Saturday at the latest. Friday comes and goes. No word. We call and call Saturday and finally get someone to answer and are told that the person that is in charge of my repair isn't even there on Saturday and that there are only oil change techs on Saturdays. So we were obviously led astray with that Saturday at the latest Information. Monday comes and no one will answer, they made it clear they have caller ID in an earlier conversation and are clearly just ignoring us. We finally get a call at the end of the day, 1 hour before closing that it's finally complete. So now I have to make my way there before they close and get my vehicle out of dealership jail before the judge slaps on some more time because it's been over 7 WEEK days for a 1.5 hour repair. We were ignored, given untrue information and then lied to face to face at pick up with silly excuses. I said all this to say, don't do business here, because if you ever need service, and you will, you'll have to deal with this same thing. Like I said, we had a positive experience with buying the vehicle, but this horrible service department ensured I will never ever buy there again. Also, the pic included shows how my vehicle was returned, covered in pine straw. They clearly take no pride in their work.

    Not a happy camper

KIA University sold me a lemon and now can't get the GM to return my call! I have had this car 5 months, drove it for 4. Took it in to be serviced because I knew something was wrong and they changed my oil and told me to go drive it and see if that was the problem. That night it stopped in the middle of the street. Now they want 6 to 8000 dollars to fix it because the engine is bad. After 4 months??? #inconvienienced #Arthurseaton #dialysispatient

EPIC SERVICE FAIL…read more Bought a CERTIFIED USED 2022 Highlander from Bill Penney at the beginning of March. Getting close to 2 months now the entire entertainment screen has been BLANK. All I get is 'part is on order no ETA'. Basically telling me to go away - they'll get around it when they feel like. Good thing I paid a premium for a CERTIFIED vehicle with a 12 month bumper to bumper warranty. Problem is if they don't stand by the warranty its worthless. Already been in twice - 1st time it was 10 hours for them to send me a 10 second video that basically said 'yep it doesn't work'. Ordered part which I had to call them to find out if it arrived since they didn't bother to call me. Set up 2nd appointment for 8:15am. Arrived, they knew what had to be done so I I waited on the car. At 3:30pm - more than 7 hours later I'm getting impatient so I inquired why a 2 hour fix (I looked it up) took so long. They talked to the service department and they HADN'T EVEN OPENED THE VEHICLE UP YET!!!! Why take a 8:15am appointment if you aren't going to get to it until 4pm? Turns out the part wasn't the fix and after 10 hours got sent home and I'm still waiting on yet another part which they can't seem to source. Before the fix I could at least try use the android auto through the car speakers but them attempting to fix it they broke that too. Can't say I'm impressed by how any of this has been handled. Every time I get in the car its aggravates me that can't use the screen to change climate, GPS, or any of the other tons of things this seems to have complete control over.

He had been working with "Johnny" and needed me to insure the yet unseen car, in order to show the CM people both the insurance car and an insurance "binder." I've never had to show an insurance binder in my life. To take a check, we were supposed to show them our bank balance on my phone. I get that, because it was a Saturday and they likely could not verify the funds were available in our account, otherwise. Hubs said this was part of the "express" purchase process and would speed up the transactions and save time. There's nothing express about their "Express" experience. We arrived 3 minutes prior to our appointment and then waited 30 minutes with only the main guy in the front room greeting us and pointing to the waiting area. If I were Johnny, the sales guy, I would have greeted us personally and ensured we were comfortable and pointed that the car was in the heated bay, with a giant yellow (why yellow at Christmas time, I don't know) bow on the hood and made myself available for questions. Also, Johnny likes to text. That's fine; however, some issues are quickly rectified by talking with someone. I tried to call him the day before to understand his insurance requirements and he doesn't answer his phone. This is frustrating. The entire time we were waiting, our car was sitting right there in the bay. We were able to get in and look at and in the car, prior to getting a key. I wanted to ensure we had everything needed to change the tires and a passerby employee helped me with that, and he was very kind. I also wanted to see the spare tire and see if it was a donut or a full size and it was a donut and appeared to have some wear on it. I brought this to the ladies who checked us out and one assured me the repair team would call me Monday about the spare. Of course, no one did. I was disappointed to only get one key fob, also. I also had heartburn with the $499 CarMax processing fee (not required by law), which is fairly prominently displayed on signage on the wall. What exactly does this "fee" pay for? I saw numerous guys and gals sitting around on their cell phones. It would be a great place for the DOGE to implement some cutbacks. On the plus side, the ladies who checked us out were kind, polite and thorough. And, CarMax gives you a 10-day period in which you may return the vehicle.
