    Breakfast burrito.
    Maggie F.

We love coming here on the weekends for breakfast (wish they had it during the week too, but sadly just a Saturday-Sunday thing). Our go to is the breakfast burrito. Today was a cold and snowy day so it wasn't very busy but be prepared to wait since there is limited seating and they seem to have a good set of regulars as well as a rep for being a good morning place. Their have a solid line up of burgers and other typical bar food too, which is also worth coming in for. Be sure to check out the specials board!

The waitress was awesome at recommending us a drink, did not disappoint. Very small inside, lucky we got a table. Best sandwich of my life!

Great breakfast Saturday & Sunday, awesome service, not a big place , but cool local restaurant & bar

Very small, so don't come with a group larger than 5!

We had some friends in town, and someone in our party wanted a good breakfast burrito. The Library Cafe was nearby and had good reviews, so we headed out. Just a heads up, the location is VERY small. If you have a group of more than 4 people, you will have difficulty sitting together unless you are okay with limited personal space (which we are). Our experience also started a little awkward, because we weren't sure if they would seat us or if you seat yourself (this always causes me anxiety when trying someplace new). BTW: You seat yourself! Also, it's very dark, so if you have any vision issues, it might be good to look at the menu beforehand. Once we got seated (nice and close), we were able to put in our food orders and our food came out pretty quickly! Hummus Melt w/ French Toast: This is my favorite Texas toast. Crispy on the outside, but with a soft chew and give. Coupled with a fried egg, cheese, and a bite of hummus, this sandwich was almost like biting into a pillow. It was comforting in all the right ways. The french toast uses the same bread, and wasn't overly sweet. Delicious! Smothered Burrito: My husband and our friend devoured their burritos. They were stuffed with eggs, breakfast meat, and large chunks of potatoes, then slathered in a luscious cheese sauce and solid chili. I thought my husband was going to legitimately lick his plate clean! Biscuits and Gravy: Both people who ordered these said they were really good. I didn't personally try them, but they seemed to love them! Overall, we would definitely recommend The Library Cafe for breakfast for groups of 4 or less. I want more of that dang Texas toast, and their breakfast nachos looked good as well.

Ordered the Denver omelet. Easily the BEST Denver omelet I've ever had. Service was great and the price is hard to beat.

We saw there were a few table so we decided to try it with the intention to be quick. Boy am I glad we did! Started with the sunrise juice, a carrot juice blend and the homemade strawberry lemonade both were so fresh and delicious. We tried the brown sugar and cinnamon pop tart and that was heaven in my mouth. So much flavor and goodness. I ordered the limoncello French toast and it is a slice of fresh baked lemon bread made into French toast. The flavors were rich and the texture was fluffy. A must try while it's in season. Others got the turkey and avocado Benedict and the pancakes with eggs and bacon. All cooked to perfection. Our server Jess was so nice and we did tip her well for being so last minute, but to our credit we were out of there at 6 mins after closing while everyone was still working to close up. I try to not show up late but this one was so worth it!!

Service is usually stellar and the location is fairly convenient with lots of parking (in the back too!) My only complaint is that my friend I go to the restaurant with who is in a wheelchair due to mobility issues has to park in back and roll all the way around the building. Its fine on a nice day, but sucks if its extra warm or super cold. I know this isnt the fault of the restaurant, but the building owners . The ambiqnce is fine, if its busy it get a little louder than I'd like. Maybe some strategically placed sound dampening tiles? I get the industrial look, but with the concrete floors, its a bit of an echo chandler when itw busy.

The quesadilla was actually very flavorful even with the chicken being a tad dry, but for dinner at a diner it wasn't bad. The service was excellent and what drove the score higher! It was our server's first day but he was pretty knowledgeable, helpful, and overall very pleasant. Jack did an excellent job. The ambiance is also really nice. It had the classic retro diner style but still seems clean and cared for. Overall i enjoyed the experience, but I'm more interested in trying their breakfast next time.

And I think I can say that about the meatloaf (dinner or sandwich) as well. Things to know: * Drake Diner is on the Southside of Drake campus and can be especially busy if there is an event on campus. There is street and lot parking available. * Their "seasonal vegetables" are often lackluster, and probably best to be avoided.

Since we were…read morealready planning an evening meal in Omaha at the end of the day it made sense to start out with a breakfast in Des Moines. based on reviews in Yelp we chose Mullets. Mostly because it sounded really cool to see the pictures of mullets that decorate the restaurant. I didn't think of the fish called a mullet, but they have creatively used both the Fish and the hairstyle to create a fun logo. I loved the poster of all of the presidents of the United States wearing mullets that was in the entry vestibule. My husband had the Burt Ends Benedict. It was delicious, with generous sized chunks of meat in BBQ sauce under the poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. I had the Country Fried Steak breakfast with hash browns and hard scrambled eggs. Everything on my plate was perfect and delicious. The gravy was outstanding! Probably the best restaurant gravy I've ever had. On my next visit I'm planning to order the same thing, but I'll request gravy on the eggs and potatoes as well. We shared an order of cinnamon roll pancakes. They were delicious, and super sweet. I was less excited when the burrito came and the waitress said "I have a... sad burrito.. sorry" It was small, had no seasoning, and didn't come with a side because the burrito that comes with meat is big enough to not need one but the veggie one is super small, barley making it a meal. I was so hungry that I ate it and didn't want to make a big deal about it to the waitress that was doing her best.
