I got the notification along with a call 1 day after the estimated completion date. When I arrived I was told that I would have to come back to have a front emblem put on since it had yet to arrive. That was no big deal and I was happy to do so. I went out with an employee to go over my vehicle. The service advisor Jay was not in at the time and this person had no idea anything about my vehicle except what was on the sheet handed to him. I noticed almost immediately that there was a gap on the passenger side between the bumper and hood. I pointed that out and was told they'd make note of that and when the emblem was applied, they would adjust it. Again, no big deal and I was agreeable to this. I got in the car and started it and it was running very rough and shaking. My Stabilitrak light also came on indicating an issue. I went back in and they had someone come out and scan the car. The code came back as a misfire which it did not have before the repairs. I left the vehicle there and was told it would be looked at and repaired and my rental would be covered in the meantime. I went back to work and got a call not much later being told the bumper had been fixed and the code cleared for the misfire. Clearing a code does not simply fix an issue, what set the misfire code? Instead of doing an actual diagnostic to figure that out, they just cleared it and said it's done. They also told my insurance agency that the driver's side fender didn't match the color of the OEM paint which is wrong. They refused to look further into the issue and state only that the car is done and ready to go and they would NOT be paying for the rental. They also said the bumper needed adjustment because it was an aftermarket part and faulted State Farm. State Farm didn't apply the bumper without correctly adjusting it, Caliber Collision did. More accurately, Jay W. is the one who did it incorrectly. 1/23/25 my car went back again to readjust the bumper. I also found out the night before that the passenger door handle had been left undone and could not be opened from the inside and, there was a strange noise upon heavy acceleration. Turns out Jay said they put a broken air duct on it. He claimed in an email to me that the wire going to the handle had come undone and reattached and again that the bumper was adjusted and I would need to contact State Farm if I was unhappy and request an OEM part. He said the intake air duct they installed was cracked at a bracket.

I picked it up on a Saturday and was told they would call me on Monday to clean it. So more of my time and travel. No phone call. I called and they had me bring it back and they got me a rental car. They confirmed it was indeed detailed. I then proceeded to detail the truck myself, and it took me about an hour of additional work. I then called and asked what they could do about my time. He told me to let the truck get dirty, and he could re-detail it in about 2 weeks. I said, "No, thats ok... why would I have you detail my truck if it took you three times to fix the repairs, could not detail the truck right the first time, and I have not heard from them since. I would not recommend them or use them again. Keith

When giving me the estimate, the estimator was very nice, pointing to the $425 charge, saying that if there are no other damages, he will be honest and will remove this charge. Later I was charged the full amount of $962.10. When I called for the estimator to clear what I thought was a misunderstanding, he was gone. The mechanic showed me the replaced single parking sensor, while the manager gave me some prints telling me that the calibration was required by Toyota. Only the print was about the Adaptive Cruise Control - completely independent from the parking assist system. At the following meeting with the manager and the estimator, the estimator denied his promise, and became very unpleasant. The manager refunded only $70, and on my question what for, she said for the in-house pre-scan. I let them know that they still owe me the rest of $355, for which I will fight. There was no calibration required on any of the other estimates for the same repair, and since after subtracting the calibration of $425, Gerber's estimate was the cheapest, I trusted their guy - big mistake. In blogs, people warn that if the mechanic says that after replacing a parking sensor, calibration is required, go to another one. Somehow they erase all negative feedback on google. This is why I never trust google reviews.

Everyone I spoke to, or met with, at Gerber was very nice and extremely helpful. The repairs took about two weeks and during that time Ryan contacted me every few days to give me updates. He explained, in detail, what they were doing throughout the process and answered every question I had in a way that made it easy to understand. The job was finished two days earlier than estimated and the quality of the work is fantastic. You would have no idea there was ever any damage to the rear end. I'm extremely satisfied and will recommend them whenever the opportunity arises.
