Do not go here unless you want to belittled or treated unfairly. I told the bartender I don't have my ID (legal one**, was let in with buckID) and asked for a sprite. She asked for my payment card, and took it to the computer behind the bar to swipe. She kept screaming "it's declined". I checked my bank and even called my mother to make sure my card was not frozen AND it had over $200 on it. I asked her to try again. This time I watched, and saw her repetitively swipe the card but then click something in the top corner that resembled an X and said "order paused/cancelled/ etc whatever). I asked her why it's doing that and what's going on. that I know I have more than enough money on the card, and it should not be "declining". She then screamed in my face and said "NOT U TRYNA COME IN HERE AND GET TS WITHOUT HAVING A REAL ID. IM NOT STUPID I KNOW YOUR NOT 21 GET THE FUCK OUT". Excuse me??? I was left completely baffled and just fucking left. I was getting sprite because my stomach was hurting, was NOT intoxicated, and NEVER asked for alcohol. I then (this year) tried to go again with a couple friends to see if anything has changed. They let me in, then proceeded to tell me I HAVE to pay $5 to get in. I thought it was weird, but walked over to the atm. My other friend (who goes to uno often) said "wtf are you doing, you don't have to do that". the men at the door looked at us with a guilty look after seeing my buckid THAT I USED TO GET IN. Now, i'm fed up but go to the bar to get a coke. The same bartender from last year is there. Immediately I smile and be kind, ask "how are you? can i get a coke please?". She looks at me with a disgusted ass look and rolls her eyes. proceeds to get my coke, and then slam my payment card down with the receipt on the bar counter soaking both of them. I did not leave a tip. I don't even know if this place typically even charges people for a small soda?? I recently found out who this bartender is, her name is Lauren. She has provided absolutely nothing but disrespectful and hostile service. She was never kind, did NOT ask for any type of clarification when SHE misheard me the first time, and proceeded to be so fucking rude, a year later. I doubt she even recognized me or would, which goes to show her character, and the type of people this bar has no problem hiring. If you hate your job that fucking much that you are costing your employer customers and their money, fucking quit. will NEVER be returning, especially after learning of this bar's history of having no sympathy or willing to change/make any mistake right. Then proceeds to embarrass themselves labeling themselves as "High street's #1 bar" yea fuck no. I've seen countless young people roofied, assaulted, laughed at, ignored, and disrespected by staff and they do NOTHING. Something needs to be done about this place, or they need to actually start fucking caring and fixing their mistakes ESPECIALLY the people brave enough to be honest about it online. Yelp made me mark a star to post this, but I give 0. I was roofied here and I overdosed on whatever was put in my drink. Passed out 2-3 times and fell straight back on my head and was out for 30 mins each. One of the cops outside of the bar ridiculed me for being unconscious and wouldn't let my friends take me home. I've filed police reports with Franklin county, the city of Columbus, and reached out to the bar specifically via phone call and instagram dm. "Ironically" no one has responded to any of my reports and there is "no record" of them even being filed. They disabled the security cameras when ownership changed a couple years ago, too. I had approached a so called bouncer when I felt the effects kick in and he was so rude to me and left me at the entrance of the bar. At least three other girls that night had suddenly passed out and were "dropping like flies" according to my coherent friends and witnesses. My group of high school close friends had roughly ten, trustworthy people in it and all of us were dismissed. No serious questioning happened. This is a place where they don't take date rape drugs seriously and you are not safe whatsoever. My incident was so serious that the ems came to the bar with sirens and lights. I have little to no recollection of the night besides how I felt after I realized something was wrong and then a bright light with voices in the distance. There are little spurts of memory in between my fainting where an officer was yelling at me and I kept repeating that he was making me feel even more unsafe. Mind you, I have quite the high alcohol tolerance and I had had a drink and a half. Female bartenders were also forcibly handing out shots on the dance floor and wouldn't take no for an answer. I gave myself a drug test the next day and we have narrowed down my drug to fentanyl, ketamine, or heroin. I wasn't able to get out of bed or on my phone for about two weeks, I couldn't drive, I couldn't sleep without waking up in a hyperventilating, shaking state. I'm beyond disgusted with the way my case wasn't addressed at all and blatantly offended by the man or city of Columbus "officer" who told me that I didn't know my friends and blocked me from leaving. This happened on March 22 of 2025 and was an unforgettable, mortifying experience. This bar is starting to come across as a drug and sex trafficking ring and should be investigated and dealt with, with intention. How many more people have to get concussed, raped, drugged, and hurt before something is done? Let this be your sign to never, ever associate with this bar. I heard a new club opened so I wanted to find out where. The location made me think it would suck, so until now I avoided it. I met someone who really wanted to go so I finally came. It's not as horrible as I expected for a club on campus. The drinks are cheap and you can feel pretty safe there. It's a club on campus. It's packed with security throughout. There seems to be as much security as partiers. At the entrance there's a line to check IDs. They have a collection of cops outside the bar. It's a safe place but it sucks the energy out a bit. There's also a stage in the middle where security likes to collect together. It has several bars so there's no wait. Service is fast and bartenders are friendly. Beer and cocktails are really serious cheap here. There's $1 bombs and $2 drafts throughout all hours. Bullwinkles is okay for a campus bar. I would choose it over most of the others. They have cheap drinks and there's room to enjoy yourself. read more

Bullwinkles Bar has made me into the modern young woman I am today. I love Bulls. Ya it's definitely gross and has some questionable people inside but that's all a part of the experience. You can't go to OSU and not go to Bulls. It's just impossible. You can deny it all you want- but Bulls raised us all from young freshmen in Bulls all the way to Juniors and Seniors in Trism. I went to this dance club! They have great music playing to dance to! There is plenty of room to dance and they even have a side stage to dance on! They have a fog machine that goes off every once in awhile! This club is not far from osu campus so there is alot of college students that goes there! I have to say I am a lot older than college kids but the dance club was still fun and the younger generation did not mine me dancing! I went on a Saturday night! They were charging $2 for a water bottle and when I asked for tap water, they said they don't offer that. Establishments that serve alcohol must serve tap water for free -- when I mentioned this to the manager she told me she was going to kick me out. She was very hostile with me, she told me to call the cops or leave. If they're the ones breaking the law, why am I being kicked out? This is according to the liquor act norms and standards (the relevant section is 4.7). They are trying to bleed college students dry. I will be contacting the better business bureau. read more

One of the worst bars I have ever been too, like formaggio's bad. As soon as you walk through the door its like breathing in HPV. Theres a bunch of underage people there who are all clearly to desperate to get laid and wont even bother going to a professional bar. The staff are rude as can be and the bouncers will be assholes and throw you out for pretty much no reason at all. The drinks are also watered down and way over priced. They made my friend, a trans woman, pay $10 and when I told the lady $5, she's a woman she said that it was based on what her I.D. says....just say you're transphobic. For a college town with seemingly limited options for those seeking nighttime fun along the non-house/frat party vein, Bullwinkles isn't too shabby. $1 bombs all night on Thursday make for a cheap good buzz, and a wideeeee expanse of open space for dancing makes way for a lot of interesting self expression, be it drunken stumbling or legit booty shakin', lol. Old school rotating colored light fixtures combined with the mirrored pillars make some spots on the floor blindingly bright sometimes, but there's a couple mini raised stage areas along the wall with a little less spotlight on your dancing. It's also a great escape from the often slippery floor from spilled drinks- handrails are definitely your friend. The bit of haze (mostly from the huge bull figurehead that snorts jets of fog outta its nostrils during various bass drops) would have paired really well with some laser shows...but maybe that's just my bay area/vegas girl talking. XD In terms of music, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised that it was largely very danceable...some of my pickier friends might even say it tends towards the "rachet" side...but all that really means to me is that it has good beats to move to, haha. Dj kept it coming all night with easily recognizable and popular, top 40ish songs and smooth transitions. I'd certainly be down to come out here again in the future. read more

I love this place to get drunk and observe very heteronormative culture. Fun time dancing. Very young crowd here in my opinion. But I love the night club atmosphere. It's alittle seedy but I think it adds to the New York warehouse dance vibe. I can honestly say I have never been in the bathrooms. But the drinks are decent; nothing memorable. The staff is unremarkable. Very standard of a straight bar. Also to all those who want to know they do ID usually with a cop present. I went to Ohio to visit my Cousin and WE decided to go to Bullwinkles. She had been there before with her Brother. My Husband had the Reuben and Fries and IRONICALLY my Cousin and I both ordered the same Food. I got a Baked Potato and some Grilled Vegetables -- the only difference was I had my Baked Potato with Sour Cream and Green Onions and my Cousin had hers 'Fully Loaded'. Hubby and I had their Bullwinkle Special Cocktails -- I had the equivalent to a Long Island Iced Tea and Hubby had their version of a Margarita -- our Cousin had a regular Iced Tea. When I first heard about Bullwinkles I was a little skeptical. Then, drunkenly at 1 am, my crew and I decided to give it a try. If I'm being honest, at first, I hated it. However, something ignited inside me. My friends and I would make jokes about Bullwinkles and pretended that we all hated it. But, a week later, there we were again; inside Bullwinkles. And then the same thing happened for a month straight. I soon realized, I loved this place. Bullwinkles has become a staple in my night and I can't deny it any longer. When you go to Bwinks prepare to dance the night away with the classiest people on campus. There are mirrors everywhere so I'd recommend you avoid looking into them at all costs. Make sure to request your favorite song to the DJ, I always ask for the Macarena. I'd also recommend dancing on the stage near the DJ booth, if that's your thing. Overall, great atmosphere. Once it gets packed they will ask for a student ID even if you're waiting in line for two and a half hours and then say "it's not my problem" and it's full of minors. This place is as good as it gets. The radiant red lights reflect off of the college students that are some of the world's most expressive dancers (an understatement). Not only that, but there is a giant bull head that hangs from the ceiling, that has a very Big Brother-esque vibe (please google the book if you've never heard of it). I once had a guy buy me a tequila shot and as soon as we took the shot, he threw up right back into the cup, so it's safe to say the entertainment is as good as it gets. This place is almost like going on a ride at cedar point or something. If you like crowded clubs this place is right up your alley. The drinks are pretty cheap and there are always, literally, THOUSANDS of kids flowing in and out of here on a typical Friday or Saturday night. They manage the crowds very well, and it's a fun place to take visiting friends and family for the sheer spectacle (the bull's nose lets out smoke!!). not many clubs like this on other campuses, so it's becoming pretty special to OSU. Bullwinkles! The hoi polloi of OSU resides here. The bouncers are dicks, but you'll quickly realize why. Mind your own business, have fun and you'll be fine. Prices are great for a club. First off I'm not a typical customer for an OSU bar/club in the heart of High Street. So although it wasn't my thing, I'm giving it four stars because that is what I would have rated it if I was still a 21yo frat brother. Bullwinkles is enormous. Except for the entrance which is narrower, it is one giant room with a concrete floor, high ceilings, and entirely open space. The only comparison I could think of was the inside of a Giant Eagle. There is not much to decorate when there is just a large open room, but its clear they wanted a modern look. The lighting is cool and so is the seating near the entrance, and the giant bull painted on the wall. The entrance area is quieter and a good place to chill out. There are several bars throughout the club, and they were able to keep up with the big crowd... no long lines for drinks. I wasn't a huge fan of the music or the acoustics, the DJ wasn't bad but again, the plusses and minuses of this place come down to the fact that its open and huge, and that at the end of the night they want to be able to wash down the floor with a hose. That does numbers on your acoustics. This would be a good place to come with friends and dance your head off, and that's what people were doing. You will get banged into because drunk people do not pay attention, and there are no "lines" or paths that help guide people back-and-forth through the space in an orderly manner. Picture a middle school dance in a crowded gym with 7th graders running wild in all directions, and you have a comparison. There were a bunch of OSU kids literally running at full speed from the back to the front, people dancing who believed they had 6 feet of free space on each side of them (which wasn't true) and other people navigating their way through with their eyes glued to their phones. The movement around the club never stopped, so for whatever reason people weren't staying on the dance floor... they just kept moving around at high speed. Other plusses I would say are that it seemed very clean for a college bar... management is keeping it up to a high standard. There are several well-placed large screen TV's if you want to catch a game. The quieter spot near the front, where you could have a conversation, was a win. I read that they have Columbus Police stationed out front for security, and that was true, they were there and keeping an eye on things. If you want to get your dance on, I think this would be a good place to go. Not a place to go solo, or if you're in a mellow mood. Oh, and no cover charge! read more
