The room was cozy and comfortable. The a/c worked fine. The place was clean and had everything you need. The backyard grounds was well kept and relaxing to walk through. As for location, you can walk to a few great restaurants from this B&B. One of them is Finn's, which I highly recommend. Grand Haven downtown is about a 10-minute drive, not too far. My husband and I just stayed here for the weekend and Nicole made each part of our stay special. The room was beautiful and had plenty of privacy, but it was also nice to spend time with the other guests in the communal spaces. Since there are two bathrooms for the two rooms to share (the third room for guests has its own en suite), there's no issue with sharing bathrooms or having to wait for others to finish. And the main bathroom for guests is huge with a beautiful luxurious tub which I thoroughly enjoyed. Every morning, Nicole prepares a beautiful breakfast - super delicious and thoughtful homemade meals. This alone really drives the value of staying here. Starting the day off with a wonderful breakfast and plenty of delicious coffee is fantastic. Spring Lake itself is also very cute, with lots of good shops and restaurants nearby and in the surrounding towns. Bella Mia is a great value, and a really special experience. I'd highly recommend it, and I hope to be back soon!

The same can be said for the room; we had the John Calvin room. Liz, the owner, is excellent at making you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive. She provides recommendations for the area and her recommendation for "Crazy Horse" for dinner did not disappoint! It is a quiet setting, and a great place to get away. The only caveat is if you are on the first floor and there are people above you in a room, you will likely hear every time they walk. The floors, adding to the character, creak easily. Breakfast, was very good. We had a southwest frittata, fruit and a pumpkin donut (October). Coffee is ready before 8am. I love that it is Christian themed and the rooms are named for Christian Theologians. If you're looking for a quaint, special getaway, give Cottonwood Inn a go! Liz will take good care of you!

We have never had a problem getting in to our room and were even able to check in early the second time as the cleaning lady was just leaving and told us we could head up she was done. The condo is always VERY clean and well equipped with anything you might need kitchen wise (except maybe a wine opener). The view is fantastic and it's relatively quiet in the building (no screaming drunkenness at 3am). It is in the PERFECT spot to walk to anything you might want...the beach is a little over a mile and downtown is a couple blocks away. They charge a premium in the summer time but rightfully so! We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area. Love it!

We had an event to go to and wouldn't be spending much time there except to sleep. I checked around the area for a room and was blown away at the affordable price. Most hotels wanted over $300 for a queen bed with the same amenities. I loved the fact that it was so affordable! Even a 12 oz can of soda pop from the vending machine was $.75 instead of the usual $1.50 - $2.00 in your chain hotel. The only issue we had with anything was that we could not take advantage of the outdoor gathering area for guests because of the mosquitoes. We would definitely stay there again.
