The pictures looked absolutely stunning and the lineup this year appealed directly to my taste in EDM so I had to check it out. Any festival with Porter, Borgore, Flux, 3LAU, etc in my backyard needs to be attended. The ticket price was extremely affordable for a two day festival ($115). I loved this festival! There was so much room to dance and I never felt claustrophobic like at Life in Color or some other festivals I've been to. The production was incredible. They don't just have LED screens or big LED screens, they arrange them in such a way for each stage that you could have the same artist playing at the two larger stages and get a completely different experience. The LED screens piece together to project different parts of one visual. It's pretty damn awesome. Sound quality was amazing. Large variety of food. Beer was quite pricey for an EDM festival (that being said while I expected pricey beer). Parking is $20 and the lot was extremely easy to get in and out of. There is a massive Buc-ee's across the street from the speedway so it was the perfect spot for post hangover food. There was a surprisingly large amount of out of staters here and it was nice meeting people from all over the states at this festival. It is growing larger every year and it's inspiring to see the rapid growth of EDM in Texas. I hope they one day put this inside the Speedway and we get a three day Texas EDC :) One can dream! As an aspiring DJ who started learning a few months ago, I can certainly say I would love to play this festival next year if I got good enough!

A distant dream now, but that was the best contingent of all of the administration, vibrant and…read morepeaceful weekend that ended yesterday in historical Quakertown Park, close to the downtown Denton City Offices and Council Chambers and Courts. It's got to take supreme team work amongst the City Departments during this autumnal celebration of our musical performance environment in north Texas, where both of our great universities pitched in sending us some of the finest live performances, set up on seven different stages in different parts of the Civic Center Park. I was perhaps most impressed with the city's answer to clean up the party zones, which span the area of the grounds of the Emily Fowler Public Library to the walls that surround our iconic Public Swimming Pool, which has a beautiful connection between our individual swimming participants, who flock to the Bell Avenue, and Texas Woman's University-adjacent location. I am proud of my hometown and have generally been drawn into the hordes of people who come here from homes nearby and enjoy the atmosphere of Gemuetlichkeit (German for warmth of friendliness that comes from mutual community that accompanies the Oktoberfest season of harvest time. A mighty shout out to the fabulous Local Grammy Award winning nuclear polka group, Brave Combo, and specifically band leader and guitarist Carl Finch, who founded the band with North Texas State University Jazz Music legends, along with Bubba Hernandez and their trumpet player Danny. I am so blessed to have Denton, Texas as my hometown and this annual event is going to be continuing far, far into the future. I recently saw Disney's Beauty and the Beast and the makeup for the beast was an outstanding job! All the characters were so great and really put their heart into the show. There isn't much of a snack section and during intermission there is a long line to wait for the women's restroom so beware. Otherwise, this a great experience to encounter. Parking might be a challenge if the downtown square is busy. But it's in a great location to dine at with lots of places to eat. Great date spot!

To me, you would think a parking lot or something would be made available considering they have a theater inside. *Tips* -Bring cash if you're going to buy anything from the concession stand. -This place is not located at the Medical Center of Lewisville, but down the street from it.
