From the beautifully curated setup to the thoughtful touches--balloons, champagne, mimosas, strawberry lemonade, sparkling water, tea, and an incredible spread of light bites (charcuterie, vegetables, fruit, nuts, and strawberry shortcake)--everything was executed flawlessly. The experience felt incredibly exclusive, almost like I had the entire spa to myself and my guests. Antonio, the owner, greeted us personally and ensured we received white glove treatment from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. I genuinely felt like a queen celebrating such a special milestone. When I walked into the lounge and saw the setup, I was overwhelmed--in the best way. I actually cried. Antonio and his team are AMAZING!! My friend celebrated her 40th birthday party here and his team went ALL out!! They treated with the luxury we deserved!! This place smells good from the outside before you even walk in. I felt relaxed the moment I walked in! We were greeted with a beautifully decorated sitting room overflowing with a delectable spread of a fruit and treats. My 60-minute massage was divine! I had Otelia and she has healing hands! I went in for a 1-hour massage and while getting my service done all I could think about is when is the next time I'll be here. I came in on a weekday afternoon with an appointment. It was quick and easy to check out and head to their lounge. While in there they have an assortment of tea, waters and chocolates. The florals all around the spa and the smells in the spa were divineeee. Shortly after starting to get comfy my massage therapist came to get me. She was always easy to reach by email, text, or phone, and her communication made everything simple and stress-free. The setup was beautiful and perfect for the bachelorette spa party I hosted. Every guest received a massage and the feedback from all the girls was incredible. Our bride had a postnatal massage as she just had a baby the month prior. Afterward, we relaxed in their private room for about an hour, enjoying champagne, light bites, and lunch. Their sandwiches were fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere made it feel special and intimate. The girls were so surprised how flavorful the sandwich were. Especially the jerk, chicken sandwich and the beef sandwich. The partner they work with for food, champagne, and decorations was amazing and so attentive. Every detail felt thoughtful and elevated. Overall, the entire experience was seamless, relaxing, and memorable. It was our first visit to Unwind Wellness - Navy Yard, but it will not be our last. We're already looking forward to going back for more massages and another perfect day of self-care. Five stars all around. Also special shout out to my masseuse, whose name was Francese. Visiting DC with my son and his sister, the plan was for facials at Silver Mirror -- Navy Yard. Well after the facials, the kids wanted massages (how sway of them!) I looked up massages in the area and came upon Unwind Wellness. Unwind Wellness was well within walking distance of Silver Mirror Facial Bar, so I made appointments for the three of us. Very surprised to see how inexpensive a thirty minute massage session was for THREE people!! Upon entrance, we were checked in, offered tea|water and led to the lounge|waiting area. My son and his sister were shown the direction of the bathrooms. The Lounge | Waiting area was a vibe in of itself, I could definitely see myself lounging there (without a massage appointment). It was very comfy and cozy. The wait for my masseuse was not very long. I was led to Room 9 by my masseuse. She allowed me to undress to my comfortableness before preceding with my massage. She asked me what type of pressure I needed and areas to focus. She immediately was able to feel the tension in my neck and shoulders and worked her magic. She massaged me deeply which I needed (the next day I was a little sore, but less tense). The room and massage was definitely relaxing and at times I felt myself zoning out. I had called ahead of time prior to scheduling an online appointment to ask who would be the most experienced in prenatal massages and they recommended Naomi. I had the most luxurious experience at Unwind Navy Yard! This was my very first massage, and I chose a prenatal session as I near my due date. My mom was visiting, so we booked a couples room. She got the signature massage (which she loved) while I had the prenatal. Both were absolutely wonderful. The whole experience felt professional, relaxing, and truly spa-like, exactly what you hope for in a massage. I was nervous going in (I'm a pretty modest person), and we both had male therapists, but they made us feel completely comfortable and respected our privacy the entire time. They went above and beyond to ensure we never felt awkward, and the couples room helped me feel at ease. The receptionist was also lovely, so welcoming, accommodating, and attentive. A few tips for first-timers: - Arrive early to check in, use the restroom, and settle in so your massage time starts smoothly. - You'll be draped the whole time (start off more modestly as they will work the parts they need to as the massage goes on, but don't be afraid to ask if something needs adjusting for comfort, they're great at helping with this. - Showers are available on-site, but I was glad I showered and shaved my legs at home beforehand for my own comfort. I happened to stumbled across Unwind and while they don't have monthly memberships, they allow you to buy packages of 5 or 10 services. On top of the good packages, the spa is clean, spacious, and the staff were all friendly and attentive. My masseuse didn't quite do the best job on my back, but she tackled all other key areas effectively. I will certainly be going to Unwind monthly. read more

Shoutout to my masseuse Naomi for asking the right questions about where most of my tension was. She was really able to get in there and help me relieve a lot of the tension I was feeling in my upper back and shoulders. When I did arrive however, they weren't able to get me started until 45 minutes after because my masseuse was stuck in traffic. Jayda, Naomi, and Nina are my go-tos for massage. I was introduced to Jayda at the Georgetown location years ago and have had the pleasure of seeing her a few times at Navy Yard. She works wonders on me. When she's booked (I "cheat" on her and see Nina or Naomi who are also incredibly good.). I saw Jayda for my bday extravaganza a few months ago and she put me to sleep after doing a scrub/wrap and a magnificent scalp massage. Loved it so much that I had to return this past weekend for a 90 minute signature massage. Jayda is really thoughtful with her approach. I suffer from migraines so her attention to detail with head/neck/shoulders is exactly what I need. I followed with a 90 minute signature facial with Ruby. This is my second time with her and she tailors the facial to what you need. I don't have a complex skin care routine at home so she guided me through minor extraction, exfoliation, hydration, red light therapy, and also did a massage of neck, head, shoulders, arms, hands. She even brushed my hair. Both women are incredibly nice and checkin regarding comfort and just make the experience well worth it in my opinion. I had one of the best massages of my life with Abe. I think I was walking about 2 inches taller when I left, from all my muscles relaxing. I was pretty tense and the massage therapist was outstanding at varying the pressure according to how tender that spot was. The facility is very nice. I really liked the waiting area. There were little cozy nooks that I think every library should have (seriously, library architects, you need to start incorporating these). And the nautical vibe of the hallway was charming. They also offer Yogi tea, which is my favorite tea brand. Third, my esthetician was Yasmine and what a beautiful person. Yasmine was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive.
