I made appointments for us at this location. We were able to get afternoon appointments for the date we selected. When that date rolled around, I was given a call about coming in earlier due to the parade that was supposed to be happening. (I won't mention who the parade was for). Once I mentioned we weren't locals, I was told whenever you get here we'll take you right back. We were greeted upon arrival and offered water. It was a short wait for our esthetician and our facials soon began. The one thing that I love is that my esthetician was black (every time we visit | even at the other location). I felt very much at ease and she really knew what she was doing. My facial was sooo relaxing and my skin came out feeling so refreshed. She really listened to what I needed for my skin. My cousin loved her facial and she looked really dewy and glowy afterwards. The young lady at the desk even gave her skincare product advice. We will definitely be back if DuPont Circle is not available. My only concern is when making the appointment, I had no way of letting them know that my cousin has her own membership, so they had to cancel her appointment and reschedule it under her own account. I've been getting neuromodulators for several years, and I've never had a treatment fail like this--let alone a retreatment. Instead of addressing the fact that the follow-up treatment also failed to produce the promised result, I was told I was now "outside their adjustment window because it had been eight weeks since my original appointment." ?????? That completely ignores that they chose to retreat me on June 8 because the first treatment hadn't achieved the desired outcome. Rather than standing behind their work or offering a reasonable resolution, they simply suggested I try a different product and pay again in the future.

Services: -Brow Lamination/Sculpt/Tint: this was my first time getting my eyebrows laminated, sculpted, and tinted. I was a little nervous about my appointment and Christina made my experience comfortable. For any new clients you have to fill out paperwork and then there is a quick consult where Christina asks for your preference and expectations. Then you walk into the studio room where you lay on the spa table. The pillows for my head and legs were so comfortable I wanted to fall asleep lol Christina first cleaned my brows and then mapped my brow shape from my facial structure and alignment. Christina meticulously maps out my brow shape with her ruler and sketches this out. She explained the reasons for how she shaped my brows and provides a mirror for me to confirm the shape. After she cleaned up my brows and processed/structured my brows the last step was tinting my brows. Christina gave me an ombré tint to match my hair color. I loved the look of my brows and the knowledge Christina shared with me during our sessions! She'd recommended using overtone conditioner--unfortunately, the silver overtone conditioner did nothing except give my hair a green twinge (looks a lot like hay currently.) When I panicked and told Doan about this she was kind and offered me useful advice--clarifying shampoo, which I hadn't thought about--and relayed the brand of dye she used so I wouldn't have an alternative salon use it on me in the future. Sadly, only two weeks after getting my hair done I'm going to have to go somewhere else to get it fixed, hence the three stars. :(
