In 2019, I worked with Mr. Aron Freshtman for an apartment move, and his team made the process incredibly easy. Aron is super communicative and transparent--no hidden fees or surprises. Now in 2026, I sought him out again and was happy to see his firm has grown significantly since my first experience six years ago. The pandemic years really did warp time! Even after all this time, Aron was quick to respond and connected me with Jacob. Jacob has been fast, communicative, and accommodating. I'm happy to report the firm remains just as committed to a superior moving experience. Jacob walked me through every scenario and potential challenge for our upcoming move and provided an excellent price. Moving in NYC is rarely stress-free, even with meticulous planning, but I'm feeling confident. In the middle of heavy rain an electric pole down 2 houses from mine these three gentlemen taped wrapped and had everything out of my old house delivered to new home set everything up where I wanted. Absolutely NEVER use this service! Items are damaged, fragile items boxed with heavy items with NO protective wrapping (lamp, two tool boxes, 2 brooms, and two picture frames in a wardrobe box unwrapped), wardrobe boxes have clothes dumped in a pile (still on their hangers) with NO HANGING BAR and rain boots and a comforter shoved on top of the clothes. We had two full closets in our place and NO CLOTHES are hanging in the wardrobe boxes that are solely for that purpose. We just opened two separate boxes (1 month after moving) and were shocked to find that plants had been boxed with no labeling or protective wrapping. The list goes on and on. But the main point is that this is the most egregious act of "service" we've ever paid for in our lives! We basically paid for a company to mishandle, damage and ruin our belongings. We have been trying to contact Aron Fershtman for over 1 month-- via Vemno chat, text, phone call, and Facebook Messenger. On the rare occasion that he responds, he claims that he texted us and called but that we were unavailable, though we never have a missed call or voicemail from him. **If you do use this moving service, ask for Jermaine and see if you can work something out with him privately. He packed our kitchen, and it is perfectly packed, exactly as you'd expect any professional packer to pack your things. Also, in reference to the extra boxes we had, we offered to pay the additional $150 fee but the mover asked that we put that money in his tip, which we did. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I would give zero stars if I could. This should have been a relatively simple move. It was 12 blocks and I moved all of my clothes and electronics prior to the day. THEY BROKE EVERYTHING THAT THEY TOUCHED. They broke my bedroom dresser, left my bed half assembled, they broke a window, and permanently scratched furniture. The manager/owner repaired the bed the next day and was supposed to sent the dresser for repair or refund the value. It's been close to a week and I haven't been able to get any update. Moti (owner) was a nice guy to come make an estimate and drop off boxes for my studio move which a friend had recommended to me. However, on the day of move while Moti was sitting and waiting in the truck. His 3 men were moving my belongings which were all newly built from scratch when I moved in my old apt with no dents or scratches especially my bed frame. Minus the damaged middle bottom of the bed which I had built with supporting wood planks, nothing else was broken or missing. When I had moved in while unpacking through the week and cleaning, I've noticed many more dents and scratches which Moti had blamed it on my bed being broken to begin with!! This is disgusting cause I know I have kept this bed in perfect condition!! Not only did he falsely accused me and stating the fact that my bed was broken to begin with, he told me that he would speak to his men and come take a look at it. Really? What will that do for me at this point? He already took a look at it initially when I noticed the dents and recommended that he could have one of his friends come over to fix it, which never happened and then offered me a refund of $100. Besides, I don't think if a person paying almost $1000 including tips for a move should be physically helping to disassemble and reassemble their own bed?? Wouldn't you agree? Had I not helped, the guy ALMOST DROPPED MY BED FRAME!!! I am completely and utterly disgusted at how he would even dare to make a false accusation when he was not there to witness what was happening in the apts as he cannot be in 2 places at once. Yes, I completely understand that the weather was challenging and his men tried to do the best they could transporting my furniture and belongings but don't blame me for all the dents and scratches. Not only was my bed frame dented and scratched, also my table, dresser and small dresser. I mean seriously...it's not just 1 thing that's basically everything!!! I would definitely not recommend him to anyone and I'm going to have a serious talk with my friend who did recommend him. This is not acceptable nor excusable especially when paying a fortune for such a small move like mines. Especially when I was proactive in helping them in anyway possible with my move that I'm paying for when I should be sitting back and just watching like everyone else. Besides, how could one make a guarantee satisfaction and not honour it when their men damages the customer's property and then faults the customer in the end??? Wanted to update my first review based on further trouble we are having relating to Moore's insurance. The movers scuffed up the hallways of the brownstone we moved in to a fair amount. I contacted Moore to get information for their insurance company and was told they would contact my landlord directly. I happened to be home last week and heard some raised voices in the hallway. This was followed by a call from my landlord who told me that instead of sending over an insurance adjuster, Moti, Moore's owner (?), came over himself. During his visit he scoffed at my landlord's assessment of the repairs (this painstakingly restored brownstone has a special finishing process on the walls). Instead of owning up to the damage, he accused my landlord of lying about the damage (that it was existing). And yelled at him in my hallway. To this day, the insurance claim remains unresolved. Furthermore, I had to sell the couch recently (didn't end up working for the space--after all that trouble)! I had Flatrate Movers do the move for us and it went of with out a hitch--no complaining, no berating, no damages. Just a professional job done by professional movers. read more

Be prepared to deal with downright rudeness with some of the office folks at Moore. After filling out my entire inventory on their site and submitting for a quote, I received a quick response with a great price. When I called to schedule the move, Moti informed me that only 5 items were included on the move form that I submitted even though I had tediously listed about 40. After explaining to Moti that there must have been a tech issue, I asked if I could repeat the list over the phone and I was told that "we don't have time for this BS [click]." Amazingly, I also received this message over e-mail when replying to the quote saying that I would not be using Moore. They may have good movers but there office staff couldn't be more rude. Full disclosure: I did not end up using their services for moving, so I cannot speak to the quality of movers themselves. I ended up using Maxi Moving and had an excellent end-to-end experience. read more

I've used them twice now, once to move out of a doorman building into a storage unit, then a walk-up. Needed licensed and insured movers. They came through - were a little tardy, but not enough to mar the experience. The worst part was having to deal with the building. Then from the walk-up to another walk-up. Both times, the guys have been polite, helpful and always willing to do what is necessary. Things always go really quickly, and they generally turn up around the the time they were supposed to. Moore was recommended to me by Jeff C. he said they did a spectacular job with his last move and I was not disappointed at all! They showed up on time, my two movers introduced themselves and they were very very nice! They took the time to wrap my furniture before loading it on the truck. They estimated my move to take 3 hours and wow...they were like 10 mins off...that's pretty amazing! My couch and dining table were a little too big to fit through my new door, but they took the time to disassemble and then reassembling them before leaving my apartment. I used Moore to move from Battery Park City to the Murray Hill area in early June and I was very impressed with their work and efficiency. I had not reserved the elevator at my old building in sufficient time and thus the movers were sharing the elevator with another mover as well. There were no issues with the elevator and the movers had me out of my old apartment in under a half hour. They also allowed me to keep my clothing inside the drawers which saved a significant time packing. Once getting to my new apartment the movers got all of my things into the apartment quickly and took the time to place larger items exactly where I wanted them so I did not have to rearrange later. This might not seem like a big deal but with the small ammount of space they were dealing with it was quite a bit of extra work for them and I appreciated the help. I used Moore Moving Express a few weeks ago for a move in New York within UES. Before choosing Moore, I called about 1/2 dozen places. It turned out, Moore's price was very competitive and they provided building insurance for free. Also, the fact they have a real physical office on 80th and York made them seem more legit and more accessible if there was a problem. After giving Moore a deposit, they sent over insurance papers the very next business day. On the day of the move, they came on time (actually 10min ahead). All the movers were very professional. They didn't chitchat and just got down to the business of moving right away. Even though my building had an elevator, the service exit was in the basement which had a flight of stairs to the street level. I didn't consider this ahead of time, and my boxes were packed pretty heavily. Thinking of it after the fact, I am guy in my prime with good physical abilities, and I would not have been able to carry more than a couple boxes up those stairs. However, I didn't heard any complaint from anyone. It took almost 4hrs to move 3-BR of stuff out due to the stairs. I bought the crew pizza and drinks, which they were very grateful (the 30min lunch was not charged). Actually I had so much stuff, they had to call in another truck, and the owner Moti came, drove the truck and help out himself. But Moti honored the original price, $/hr for 3ppl, even though there was more people. All around, it was a great experience. I would not hesitate to use them again. Remember, tip your movers, the norm seems to be 20% of the total bill, or you can always go higher. read more

Who hasn't heard of moving horror stories involving shady movers quoting one price and then charging something else? Let's face it, moving is stressful, overwhelming and tedious. But Moore moving provided outstanding & amazing service during my move from Brooklyn to Astoria on 8/2/13. My building required insured, professional movers. I found Moore through CityMove and they gave me a flat rate. I hired them after reading their reviews, in which time they took a 25% deposit. I dealt with "Moti" on the phone and "Natalie" sent me their insurance paperwork to give to my building's management. On moving day, Moore showed up exactly on time, with 4 movers (instead of 3) and with a bigger truck! They were a well oiled moving machine as 2 guys took apart and wrapped all my furnitures, 1 guy loaded and arranged the truck and the last guy was the runner between my apartment and the moving truck. Within 1.5 hours, everything was packed and loaded onto the truck. The moving team was professional, courteous, patient and a pleasure to work with. They worked very hard, they and delicately took care of everything as they loaded and unloaded the truck. At my new apartment, 1 guy stayed back in my apartment only toy assembled and placed my furnitures where ever my wife wanted them placed. The whole move was done quicker than I thought. At the end of the move, there was no BS or extra charges and stuck to their original flat rate. The service provided by Moore moving went beyond any of my expectations!!! I'm very happy to have chosen Moore moving for my move. *Sigh* I wish I could give MME another 5-star review like I did 3 years ago, but I simply can't. For whatever reason, this time around I dealt with someone completely different when it came to booking the move and also follow up. Last time I must've been communicating with someone else because it was so effortless, they were so kind and easy to work with. Here's what happened this time: 1) The movers arrived about 30 minutes late - not a huge deal, but annoying. 2) 5 guys showed up, when I was told there would be only 3. Yes, I know that it's great that I got 2 extra movers for the same price, but we also had taken out a very specific amount for a cash tip ($50 each) and we did not have time to go back to the ATM to get more, but I did anyway because I'm not about to shortchange some hardworking guys on a very hot day. That said, when I emailed "Moti" to let him know I didn't appreciate being told the wrong number of guys were coming for tip reasons, he told me it doesn't matter, just give them what I have. Um, no. They deserve the money - we're not those kinds of people. 3) As much as I hate to say it, because the movers are SO NICE (we even recognized a few from our last move!) some items did end up damaged: a large wall mirror, a nice hamper from West Elm, the corner upholstery of our couch was damaged, and a small chunk of wood was missing from the bottom part of one of our Crate and Barrel shelving units. Last time, the move was completely flawless - it was just a little sloppier this time. 4) The only damaged item worth complaining about was the mirror because we paid $250 for it. However, it was on sale for $150, so I told the foreman, but he insisted on taking the mirror with him to try to fix it... which is a little impossible because this isn't your standard mirror. There are many beveled edges all around it that had smaller triangle-shaped pieces that were shattered. Anyway, he said that was their procedure and it was better to try to let them fix it than let their insurance cover it. Speaking of... THEIR INSURANCE ONLY COVERS $.60/POUND!!! That means we would have received a handsome check for probably $5.00 if we went the insurance route. 5) In the end, "Moti" agreed to take $100 off our move and refund an additional $100 to cover the mirror, so in essence we're still out $50 not to mention the annoying other minor damages that occurred. Oh, and of course the SECOND the movers left, Moti sent me about 5 PayPal invoices in rapid succession forcing me to pay. I had just taken a few minutes to rinse off and I come back to a full inbox! Relax, we will pay! And then of course it took 2-3 days for him to refund my $100. Shady. Long story long, I will definitely not be using Moore Moving Express again. Whoever was in charge 3 years ago definitely needs to come back because that's the only way I'll consider working with them again. read more

These guys absolutely saved us. We happened to move during the Pride Parade, right out of Greenwich and towards Midtown...needless to say it was a disaster. Our original company we had booked cancelled on us very last minute on the day we HAD to move out of the apartment as the new tenants were moving in very early the next day. I contacted Aron and his team and they showed us not only exceptional service but a true sense of humanity for our situation. They did whatever they could to move us out that night (waiting up with the truck until 1am as all the street were blocked) and then found new people to move us out at 6am as that was our only option. The move went smoothly, the boxes were packed and everything was delivered in tip-top shape! We cannot thank those guys (and especially Aron) enough for everything they did for us that night.
