I have to admit, I'm not a shopper when it comes to vacation spot stores, but, this place captivated me. It's really that cool! I had to drag my kids out because they were working on a puzzle the store set out for everyone to join in. The prices are beyond fair, so much so that I purchased items here that would have cost more online. I strongly recommend visiting this business if you are in the area. :). It offers a radical departure from the characteristic big box book stores that have spread like locusts and seem to anchor prime real estate in many of your favourite strip malls. The Bookcase offers a comfortable refuge in which to peruse until ones heart is content. There is zero pressure to purchase and a fireplace with wing backed chairs beckon you to cozy up. You will feel entirely at home here. The primary reasons I couldn't justify a higher rating were only minor but must be mentioned. there was no magazine selection and I know some might say that a traditional bookstore shouldn't offer such, but I love my magazines. Also selection did tend to be limited-which I do understand is simply due to a lack of shelf space. If there was a half star option I would definitely give it a 3.5, yet I simply couldn't go up to a 4 star. the Bookcase is however unquestionably worth a stop. After cramming your cranium at The Bookcase, Soul Sistas cafe is only steps away and affords you the opportunity to nourish your body with a decent selection of assorted smoothies and beautiful spinach crusted quiches. A better 1-2 combo is difficult to determine.

This is a really fantastic store, especially on main Street Huntsville here. They have a variety of…read moreused albums, but also carry a wall full of brand new records. You're looking at about $40 for a new album, which is pretty much standard no matter where you go, but there's some great deals on used ones as well. It is a really open environment, and there's space to look around and flip through all of the different albums in comfort. This, of course, is one of the most important parts of any record store experience. The people in the store seem incredibly kind and delightful, and it is definitely worth stopping by. The only reason you may not have seen it already is because it is slightly farther up main Street than the traffic light most people use as the turnback point. Make sure you keep going until you're across from the gas station so you can experience this place for yourself!

But I'm so glad they landed in our tiny, sleepy town: CC is about as close as it gets to a one-stop shop here. There aren't a lot of places where you can grab a coffee and sandwich, pick up cheese and charcuterie to take home, or grab wall art or dish towels for the cottage. I appreciate that the products here are so thoughtfully selected as well. Cottage decor can teeter on kitschy, but the selection at CC -- technicolor enameled outdoor dining sets, lake-themed hooked rugs, craftsman birdhouses -- is tasteful as well as fun. Popsicle makers and painted martini glasses give ideas. Food from local vendors means you don't have to wait for next week's farmers market to pick up those jams or condiments. And a bounty of healthful dining options from veggie paninis to fresh soups make a quick, delicious lunch. CC definitely makes a great addition to our little hamlet.
