We were greeted by a somewhat responsive human who immediately needed our first name, last name, and email address before we could even get settled. At one point I was thinking, "I'm sorry, should we have scanned a QR code and filled out an application before entering?" After waiting a few minutes, we were finally seated, but the service didn't get much warmer. Our server barely made eye contact with us, and overall the staff just seemed uninterested in engaging with their guests. Ironically, the only time we really saw employees smiling was when they were talking to each other. Maybe this atmosphere works for some people, but when I visit a winery, I'm looking for something welcoming, personable, and enjoyable. This felt more like a transaction than an experience. They do a summer concert series, and it was the first one of the season. My friend and I got there early, and only one other group had started lining up for VIP. So we went to the tasting room and grabbed seats at the bar. They were offering a $30 "Take Away Flight" with both red and white wine options. I got three reds and the white that they promoted for the summer concert series. All of them were pretty good. I loved how the wine flight was presented (see photo). I would definitely go back just to hang out at the winery next time and drink more. SUMMER CONCERT SERIES I thought the concert would be well organized since this isn't their first time. However, the staff seemed lost when it came to when and where the VIP check-in would be. We had Soundcheck VIP tickets for Yellowcard, and didn't get to go in until like 45 minutes after the scheduled time. So that cut into the VIPs' early entry time. Fortunately we got to the merch tables right before they let general admission in. There were plenty of porta potties. A decent amount of food options. We got a burger and chicken fingers & fries. Of course they offered wine, as well as beer. You also had the option to buy wine bottles at the winery and bring it into the concert area. We sat front row, which had a great view, but it was also right in front of a walkway, so that was a bit annoying. Watching soundcheck and the concert itself was very fun. Overall a good experience, and I would go back!

We chose our seat at a table for two and were instructed on the process of tasting chocolates and wine. We met the owner of Brugge Chocolates and, of course, the Wine Geek himself, Bob Delf. Each came around multiple times throughout the tasting to see how we were doing and to discuss the varieties. Both were charming and very nice. The tastings came with $15 credits for any bottles we purchased that day as well as a nicely decorated box of 4 chocolate truffles per person. We ended up buying some great tasting wines - The 2018 Madrigal (a blend of 3 varieties) and a Rose. I have been to NW Cellars previously and LOVE the Malbec and bought a bottle at that time.
