As many people know, I am hugely involved in the animal rescue community. I foster & rescue animals &I have done so for years. Therefore, if you have animals in your home, & want to keep your home clean & smelling nice, you know, like I do, the importance of using a reputable carpet cleaning company who values their customers. Never in a million years did I think that Upfront Home Service would do me dirty like this after all of our years of working together but I guess that's what happens when a company gets GREEDY. They forget that it is their long time customers who helped them to succeed. Recently, we scheduled a move out carpet cleaning with a few patch repairs. At first, I thought everything was going great until I saw the one patch job. We brought it to the technicians attention & he said that was the absolute best patch that could be done. I didn't agree but waited until it dried. After he left, I went upstairs and noticed that the scent that is usually very pleasant after carpet cleaning was not there but instead the stench of dirty water was present & extremely strong.This was not the norm in past jobs with them so I immediately knew something was not right. I called the office & asked them to send someone over right away to see the job that was done and to smell the odor. I thought Rachel was going to send over a supervisor to check things out the next day but all that came over was a regular technician with a can of deodorizer to mask the odor. I thought they would have redid carpet & fixed the patch but that was not the case. Mind you, my circumstances have never changed during the 9 years I have used Upfront Home Services I have always had animals, & yes, animals have accidents. There was no more or less than the norm. After they cleaned my carpet, the carpet smelt great each time, so they cannot say it was my fault or point fingers. If they had only come out to see for themselves what I was referring to after I asked them to, they would have seen & smelt what I was talking about but they chose not to. A few days after this took place, & after I had a few moments to myself after moving State to State, I wrote an email to the owner, Joseph Pais expressing my concern & instead of reaching out to me personally, he had someone by the name of Daniel Guida call on his behalf. He seemed nice at the time & said he would send someone over to fix. I explained to him that the second visit should have handled this & that we no longer had access to the home. We moved out. I told him we had spent almost $1000 on this work & the least they could do since they didn't fix any of it on second visit was to maybe refund us something. Maybe 15-20 percent of the cost since the job was not done right & no one thought it necessary to stop by next day to see what we were talking about. Well a week later, Daniel did not call me back so I sent a follow up Text to him yesterday. I saw that he read my text but didn't feel he should be professional & reply. I then sent another email to the owner, this morning, & he had the nerve to offer me a refund of $50 & a $300 credit if we ever returned to Texas & needed carpet cleaning. We moved to Florida 2 weeks ago AND WHY DO I NEED TO WAIT TO RETURN TO GET A CREDIT? REFUND ME NOW. THE JOB STILL SUCKS!!!!! If Joseph or Daniel had come to the house, they would have witnessed first hand our complaints & the odor we had after they cleaned it along with the really bad patch job. If our 9 years of business means nothing to them & they insult me by offering me a $50 refund after spending almost $1000 on this past job, then they can keep it. Apparently, they need the money more than I do. I contacted Upfront and was given a fair price. Once the work was complete and the service tech named Rory gave me a complete understanding of how best to take care of my year old furniture, I've changed my mind. They did a great job on my new home. We wanted the tile in the bathrooms cleaned & the carpet in 3 bedrooms cleaned up. They weren't bad and didn't have obvious staining but I get grossed out at the idea of walking in carpet barefoot previously walked on by others. I felt they did a good job but it wasn't super dirty to start with so I didn't have before and after photos. I love how the bathroom tile looks brand new now! You can see the difference just in the photo my father in law took while they were working. We closed and immediately had to go out to town to a wedding. So they were very flexible with payment forms, which we were very happy about. A lot of other places wanted us there in person and it would have delayed our moving in process. Would not recommend. Technicians cut corners and management is unprofessional and likes to play the victim. Technicians came out on 10/6 for an air vent cleaning. Technicians had to be asked multiple times to take the vent covers down and pressure clean them. The technician gave several excuses on why he wasn't going to clean the vent covers. When he finally agreed to take them down and clean them, he cleaned them with a dirty rag, resulting in the vent covers being dirty. He also did not fully screw some of the vent covers back on and he left dirt and debris from taking the vent covers down in the bathroom sink and on the bed. They left very quickly and abruptly, so I did not have a chance to inspect the house before they left. Once I noticed the issues, I got my ladder and took the vent covers down myself and cleaned them. When I brought these concerns up to management, they agreed that the technicians were in the wrong. They offered to come back out, but I told them there wouldn't be anything for them to do, because I already cleaned the vent covers myself. This is when they began to get unprofessional. They insisted on coming back out multiple times. I kept declining. Then they began to gaslight me and play the victim. They said their technicians "were only human" and "they did their best". I going to add pictures of "their best" below. They said I was "very angry" and "attacking" them for no reason. I had to request a partial refund ($50) for them to issue one, but yet they claimed they were doing "everything they could" to rectify the situation. read more

I recently had Upfront come out to clean 3 bedrooms with closets and 2 staircases. For this service I paid $1234.00. They could not get out all the pet stains in two of the closets which we can well understand and we are replacing that carpet. A repair between two different carpets went well. BUT, we had to wait a couple of days after the "cleaning" for them to make the repair and to clean a room that was forgotten first time around. And as I look at my curved front staircase it still appears dirty AND feels dirty. Not a good value and not happy! read more

I had a mattress steam cleaned and did a great job, there was only one concern that was more than likely with the equipment. I contacted the company to let them know and the owner contacted me directly! His quote to clean and seal the tile and grout of my bathroom floor and shower stall was reasonable. He was also available to do it within a few days. The method involved chemicals and a long corrugated tube that had to snake from his truck up to the bathroom. It was like it was steam vacuumed with some chemicals for the sealing. I have no way to test the effectiveness or the longevity, but my guess is that it worked OK. read more

Edit: Within an hour of leaving my review, the owner, Joseph, called me and left me a voicemail. He also followed up with a text message. We spoke on the phone, and he wanted to resolve the issue. Willis came out the same week to re-clean and reseal the grout in the high-traffic areas where it was darkening the fastest. He was very professional and explained the process, drying time, etc. I hope that this time the cleaned and re-sealed grout will stay this way for longer than 6 months. Thank you for trying to resolve the issue, Joseph and Willis, my family appreciates it! I contracted with this company in September of 2023 for a grout cleaning. Scheduling was a breeze, and they got me scheduled fairly quickly. I did a walk through of the house with the technician and he convinced me to upgrade to their "5 year sealer" for an additional fee. I agreed, and left the technician to complete the job. I returned 4 hours later as he was finishing up. He left, and I noticed one of the trim pieces in the bathroom was starting to swell from water damage, so I contacted the company. At first, I was met with defensiveness and false accusations, but eventually they agreed to pay for the small damages. Upon closer inspection, there were many pits in the grout, and pieces missing but I just ignored that and chalked it up to the build quality of the home. For reference, my home was only 3 years old at the time. I made sure to ask about aftercare to keep my grout clean, and followed it by mopping my floors only with a steam mop and distilled water. This was to not put any risk of dirty water sitting in the grout lines which would darken them as I was told by the technician. I even use a new steam mop head in each room or after it's soiled to minimize dirt being spread around. My grout continued to get darker and darker as a whole. I called their office to ask about this, and it was shrugged off by the person who answers the phone. I wanted to get other opinions about what a proper grout cleaning and sealer with a solvent impregnator sealer should look like and how it should last. I called 2 local companies who also clean and seal grout. Both gave me the same answer: my grout should not be darkening if I am caring for it as I should and if the original company used a solvent and sealed the grout properly with application and curing/drying time, water should bead (at least somewhat) on the surface of the grout. This was not the case. It's 6 months after the service that I paid a pretty penny for, and I will have to have it redone soon if I would like to maintain the grout color. I am very disappointed that my concerns of darkening grout after services were complete were not taken seriously. I would hesitate to use this company for future home services as they seem to ignore you once the money is exchanged. read more

Extremely satisfied with this company's work. I have 2 young dogs that both got food poisoning from some bad treats. They were sick for 2 straight days. Even after cleaning up as much as I could, i just was not comfortable that my carpets and tile floors were truly, truly clean. Found UpFront online and asked for a quote to clean entire downstairs - carpet and tile. Also asked about repairing grout work in my shower and stretching a patch of carpet upstairs. Joseph came out and happened to show up while I was stuck on a conference call. He was very gracious and patient while I toured him around while on my call, with 2 pups vying for his attention. He gave me a ballpark quote and said he'd send me a few options. Got those via email that evening and set our appointment for the following weekend. I don't recall the gentleman's name who showed up first to stretch carpet, but he was polite, quick and did a terrific job. Daniel showed up a bit later and spent the next few hours (on a Saturday) deep cleaning all the floors, which required some furniture moving. He worked non-stop, deep cleaning and regrouping and sealing my master shower. He also sealed the tile when he was done. He could not have been nicer and he did a phenomenal job. I couldn't have asked for better service. While I hope to never have another need for such a huge cleaning project, I would not hesitate to use UpFront again.
