I had two small jobs. First, my outdoor funiture cover had ripped along the zipper. Second, my grill cover had also come apart due to burning on the hot grill. If you are looking for a fancy website with fabric choices, online quotes, a showroom and an online order form then Jorge's is not for you. But if you want high-quality work, friendly service, and a fair price then I would highly recommend Jorge's. They did an outstanding job taking my grandparents' chair with ottoman and recovering it so it is like new. This was our first recovering experience of any kind so the process was new to us. I went to Jorge's in person. The shop was small and used completely as a workspace. The people were friendly. I showed them a picture of the chair, they gave me a quote, told me how much fabric to get and a recommendation of where to get it. Once we ordered our fabric, Jorge's picked up the chair from our house, picked up the fabric from the store, and then delivered the chair back to our house when it was all done. The entire process was efficient and relatively painless. From quote to final delivery was about one month (once Jorge's got the fabric, the actual recovering process took about a week). Once they picked up the chair, all communication was done via text which I did not expect (again, I'm not sure what I expected) but that added to the efficiency. COVER ME My wife hates looking at my chair & ottoman but she loves sitting in it. I have had this chair in my life for over 17 years and it is incredibly comfy. My wife does not really like anything with flair and my original chair fabric had some fun patterns/color to it. She really likes neutral solid non flashy colors but she would never admit that to anyone. She has been asking me to re-cover it for the last year and like any guy I have been dragging my feet. In fact, she tricked me into going to a fabric store to pick out new fabric for my old chair. Check out my review on the fabric store (Textile Discount Outlet) because that was an epic adventure which included a Sgt Pepper Suit & me getting cut. After searching through thousands of fabric rolls, we finally found some great fabric. (I just think I did some cross marketing in my Yelp reviews! Actually you need both places because you bring your own fabric here!) Once we had the fabric, I loaded up my chair into my SUV and drove it here. The owner, Al is a really nice guy. He helped me unload my chair and carry it in the shop. He was very relaxed. Even though the store was packed full of jobs and workers. This place is tiny but they get there work done! We did not even fill out any paper work. My wife had been in contact with him via email, so the owner was totally trusting of us. We spent some time talking to the owner. In fact, my wife found this place on Yelp because of all of the great reviews. Again Yelp comes to save the day. Before we left the owner asked us if we were in a hurry and we told him no. He said that the chair should be ready in 2 weeks. I would hate to see how fast our chair would be covered, if we were in a hurry. In fact, we were able to get our chair within a week. What? Who does that? Al does!!! It takes like 60 days to get a brand new couch once you pick out the fabric. This place rocks. We were also able to get the legs stained to match the other wood furniture in our house. These guys are really good. They matched the color off of a photo we emailed to them. I highly recommend you bring new life to your old chair or couch. These guys will help you do that. Don't throw that old chair out and waste money on a new one just change the fabric. I must admit the new fabric is very hip. Hey it better be hip because I picked it out. Hopefully my chair can make it another 17 years before my wife wants to cover it again. I chose to have my uncle's 1920's couch reupholstered at Jorge's due to all the positive reviews here on yelp, and I'm so glad I did! I first walked in to Jorge's with just a photo of my couch on my phone and showed it to Alex (Al's son). He said no problem and sent me to Fishman's Fabrics to pick out and buy my fabric. 5 weeks later after my fabric arrived I called and Alex came the next day to pick up my couch. Amazing customer service and beautiful handiwork. We have a banquette with two long seat cushions upholstered by Jorge . The fabric is indoor outdoor and cleans up easily. We recently couldn't get the zipper to work (it is 5 years old) and thought we would need the whole pillow case replaced. Jorge was able to fix it and now the pillow case doesn't have to be replaced. We recently had a sofa reupholstered by the experts at Jorge's. We were completely blown away. I'm attaching photos so that you can see what I'm talking about. We had a great sofa from Roy's that had great bones, but really needed a second life. The fabric was in pretty shabby shape, and the cushions were lumpy. Plus, the red fabric, paired with our previously beige and red interior, made me feel like I was living in a blood vessel. We didn't want a sofa to wind up in a landfill, we really loved it! Enter Jorge's. We selected a great fabric from a line called Perennials - it's outdoor fabric that you can bleach and throw in the washer, but you'd never know. We have a dog who hops on the sofa with us, so needed something durable. I got in touch with Jorge's via the link here on Yelp to get a quote. They helped me figure out how much fabric to purchase given the measurements of the sofa, how long it would take, and the like. I thought the process would be really protracted, but they picked up the sofa really quickly. The gents carefully moved it down our back stairs, and gave me the ETA for getting the sofa back. It was right before Thanksgiving, and they were slammed, so it would take about three weeks. Four days later, I received an email that our job was done. Yes, four days later. They picked it up on Friday, and it was back in our home on Friday. Now, for the craftsmanship. You cannot believe the job these guys did. The seaming is so precise, the corners so crisp, people think it's a new sofa. It looks better than new. They put in these awesome memory foam cushions that will give us at least another ten years of happy naps on the couch, instead of that cheap yellow foam you sometimes find in other pieces. Some of the seaming was really complex, but they clearly have highly-skilled elves working for them, because it was done in a flash, and is absolutely perfect. The price was totally reasonable - way cheaper than buying a new, high-quality sofa, and we were able to keep a piece we loved, and keep a piece of furniture out of a landfill. They were careful with the piece and our home every step of the way. I should mention that they were a treat to work with, as well - Alex and his dad, who owns the studio, were awesome, a kind and helpful father-son pair, even though these are clearly really busy guys! We got a couple of quotes for some custom cushions for a camper van and went with Jorge's because of Yelp, it being closest to our house and being slightly less $ than others. I was very pleasantly surprised! We had to order fabric through a custom place so there was a lag of a few weeks between when we got our quote and when we were ready to have done. They still delivered in less time than they originally thought. And I am still blown away but how NICE they turned out. There are zippers on the cushion covers and they sewed fabric over the edges of both zippers so they are more hidden. That's a detail I didn't expect, and not even our couches have this. This is an example of Yelp! being an excellent resource. At my business we have 2 very large, 8-10 person booths. One of the bench seats were badly torn and the other was wearing out quickly and would soon be torn as well. I began my search for a place to repair these booths. My needs were pretty simple. I wanted to find a place nearby, and I obviously wanted someone to do a good job. I also wanted to ensure that we would not be without these booths for too long. So I searched for places to handle the job. I quickly found Jorge's. It was especially easy to find because they were the best. The highest rated place from my search. This may sound strange, but I don't always settle on the top, highest rated business necessarily, because I want details. Usually I will look at the list and start reading some of the top choices' reviews to get some particulars on the whole interaction. Something about Jorge's jumped out at me, and so I had them come out and take a look. Alex came out and looked at the job. I asked him how long this kind of project would take. I was dreading what the answer would be. I can't be without these booths with such a big weekend coming out. Before I could utter a peep, Alex said, "You probably want these back as soon as possible, so it doesn't effect your customers." (Turns out he's a very smart business man!) Alex told me he could take the seat benches with him to his shop and finish the the same day, and bring them back tomorrow morning. He explained that he likes to work on only one job at a time with his crew. They're able to focus on one job and get it done quickly. I was absolutely thrilled!
