I've meant to post this review for ages but kept forgetting. Inexcusable, given how much we love our recliner. We have a now-unusual well-made armchair with wooden legs -- and unexpectedly to all, it reclines! You just can't find pieces like this, and certainly not at affordable prices anymore. So when it became ripped up over the years, we knew we wanted to keep it. I spent HOURS reading reviews to find a local place to trust with reupholstering it. Although I saw that this business seemed to focus on cars and boats, the reviews were excellent, and the pieces of furniture impressive. When I went to look at fabric options (warning: it's a bit hard to find, and you might wonder if you're in the right spot: you are), In couldn't believe the available inventory. The owner kept bringing us fabric books and helpfully explaining about quality, prices, etc. We found a pattern we liked, and the quality is excellent (UV, stain, and tear resistant). We also saw some amazing ongoing upholstery projects in the shop, so we felt confident we were in good hands. Sure enough, within just a few weeks, our chair was ready and looks like new. We're so happy with new padding, attention to detail and quality of the work. They even threw in a free tuxedo cat! (Just kidding, that's Alex.) We keep meaning (and forgetting) to bring two little stools to be matched. But have no doubt: anything we need (re)upholstered, we're coming here. read more

Mr. Torres upholstered my booth cushions for my 92 coachman travel trailer a year it so ago. He was very patient while I looked at his upholstery samples, as I was having a hard time deciding on fabric. I finally ordered I Lin and showed him a picture of my idea. He transformed ugly 90s cushions that I tried painting and turned them into cute vintage looking cushions. The price was reasonable and his work made my trailer remodel perfect. It's been awhile since I've given a review but saying that I felt like giving this small business one. I just recently had replaced a fabric seat cover and the few places I went either wanted a ridiculous amount for labor or didn't want to do the job as it may have been too small to take up their time idk. I wasn't paying for it and I wanted something affordable because I didn't want the other person paying too much for the fix. I had two mid century modern style chairs reupholstered and they did an absolutely fantastic job for a great price. They was very communicative throughout the process. I was able to text them photos of the chairs and they gave me a direct quote before I brought them in. They had several fabrics to choose from and helped me decide on just the right ones that would stand the test of time. See previous posts. Pleasant, quick work, quality. I took a 2005 Honda Element to Jose to replace the front seat fabric. He suggested a similar marine fabric. Finished the project in less than a day, when he said it would be done. Looks fantastic, at a price a third of the OEM material, and removed and installed. Even built up the foam in the driver seat. I will return with any auto or home needs. Kind, curteous, friendly service. -while dropping off my vehicle he was rolling out a 1964 Impala with a brand new convertible top he had just completed. It was somewhat difficult to find as they're located in semi type garages within a bldg. I dropped 2 pieces of a barber chair to get done and I was very happy with the work. I did think it was a bit pricey but considering I got it back the same day (wonderful to know vendors do stay open late) & the workmanship looked great, it was worth it. read more

I have a 2002 ranger with a drivers seat completely broken down. Very large previous owner. He rebuilt the seat reusing the existing upholstery which was still in good shape. This last week I took a leather ottoman cushion into Torres Upholstery for repair. The cushion is from a Herman Miller Eames Chair/Ottoman that I purchased more than 50 years ago. The owner met me at the front door with a big smile and I told him my problem with the cushion. I was sure that I would have to leave it at his shop for a couple of days. But no, he told me to wait, went to his work bench and proceeded to make the needed repair. He was shortly finished and the repair bill was extremely low. Everyone who works there is super friendly and I had s great experience. The work was done fast and they even suggested spicing it up a little with a diamond stitching that turned out amazing. I was very happy with Upholstery Torres' work as well! I had a fairly simple job where the upholstery on the driver's side door of my Honda was falling off. It just needed to be carefully glued and tucked back into the door. It was a rather strange request. But I needed an industrial sewing machine to stitch a new zipper into my heavy canvas coat. I provided him with the zipper and he got it done the next day! Only charged me like $20 to get it done. I really don't know where else I could have gone anywhere close by (without going into the City) to get something like this done and certainly not so quickly! Jose is the worst business man ever he is shady never keeps his word and is never ontime . He has no customer service and does not care about his customers nor his product he give back half completed work or half ass work he used wood screws to secure my seat trim wood screws for steel come on it came in as a complete part with screws and he used wood screw and they were 2 inches long getto. IM missing cables for my electric seat motors and my ass trays are missing. He delivered me my seats with to different whites mismatched material and the seat was torn on the piping. We agreed on a price he said Ok I gave him cash he said 3 weeks I said I'll see u in 2 months it took 3 years and didn't finish. When I got upset with how long it was taking he said I have u too good of a deal and threw my stuff out side to come pick up . I will never refer this business to any one I would feel bad to have him do this to some one else read more
