The park has a lot to offer including a Community center, skate park, baseball fields, basketball courts, and plenty of picnic area. It even had two play areas one for big kids and one for small kids, which I really appreciated. We came on a Sunday afternoon. It was not too crowded, but there was so much trash everywhere. I'm assuming it gets really packed here on Saturdays and everyone just throws their trash everywhere. It's really a shame. Also, the playground could be better maintained there were spiderwebs everywhere and it looks like it has been cleaned in a while. I do love that the playgrounds are in a somewhat shady area, which is nice for parents to get a break from the sun while their kids play. read more

After reading the reviews, I expected this park to be a homeless person wasteland. Yes, I have seen homeless people in the front of the park while on the street, but the park itself is gorgeous. Large, expansive, old big trees. It has a rose garden!! It has a cool skate park and a nice ampitheatre. We walked around during a lunch break and I had no idea such a lovely park existed. Park is dirty and needs upgrades ! A lot of bums too. Bathrooms are dark and dirty aswell

So much trash! Liter everywhere, all throughout the play grounds and fields. Trash cans overflowing. Underneath one of the slides were multiple blankets as if someone sleeps there. First and last time I'd ever bring my kids to this park. Heartbreaking to see so many children play in those types of conditions! City needs to do something. read more

My daughter was in the Tiny Tots preschool building just south of the YMCA. I was amazed at the amount of homeless in their cars or pretty much camping out under the shade trees in the parking area in front of the building. There was a rundown RV parked just north of the building as well. Every time we were there he was sitting out in a chair with other men on the grass very close to the building. I understand that the homeless need a place to go, I also realize that the city has made improvements to the homeless issue at this park. But I felt uncomfortable having people watch me and my child as we arrived and exited the building to our car. I feel extremely fortunate that nothing occurred between them and us but I think it's a shame they are allowed to congregate next to a preschool program and the play area for kids. The park is fairly good size. I would appreciate if the city would ban them from this particular area. I'm sure some are harmless, but it's not reassuring that many homeless have mental issues, and this makes me fear the women taking their children to Tiny Tots. read more

I had a leg procedure done about 11 am and needed to walk for 30 mins before I got back on the freeway to drive home for an hour. There is No park locally that we could find to walk around with a path. This park sucks. People are parked and seem to be living in their cars. Kinda creepy. There is tons of grass ( I couldn't wear tennis shoes, had sandals on) and a lot of parking. Had a play ground for Children as well, I personally would not feel comfortable brings kids here, especially with having to use the restrooms safely. Restrooms had strange men standing in the entry , just staring as we drove by. Awkward feeling here. Not a walking park. read more

Been coming here for years this park is so big & beautiful & you always get to see so many squirrels living in their natural habitat . It's always really clean it has a nice remodeled stake park & a new basket ball court . I always feel safe with my kids even when it's dark they have bright lights that shine the whole park . Nice, large, shady park with plenty of parking. I was a bit surprised how large and shady it was. Nice park to have a picnic, walk or birthday party. Although, the skate park was closed and 1 set of the restrooms were closed (reason for the 3 star rating). I didn't check the other restrooms though. I was there around 4:30 and were kids playing along with thier parents. A couple squirrels were playing as wellnn I didnt see any homeless or transients as previous reviewer's mentioned. Good news, if approved the park will be renovated. Just as other Yelpers stated in their reviews, this park is beautiful and large but the present company of transients really puts a damper on this park. The squirrels are fun to watch, but not a loud verbal fight between two transients. A side note also, is that at the bottom of the park, near the entrance located off of San Bernardino Road, there is a small skate park. While it looks fun and in good condition, it is closed without notice of when it will be open for public use again. read more

Most likely the oldest and largest public park in Upland, this place has hosted many a family picnic for generations. It has a number of large shade trees, providing comfort during the hot summer months, with many picnic tables and BBQ grills available for use. I was at a pet adoption faire yesterday at this park, and I have to say, if it wasn't for all of the trees, it would have been a miserable day. Adjacent to the park are baseball diamonds, a skate park, and in the next few years, the park will also be the location for the new Upland Animal Shelter!! read more

This is a homeless encampment with playground equipment!! It is wed afternoon and we are here to play a baseball game and I am actually afraid to get out of my car! Upland should be ashamed of themselves for standing by with such a clear need for homeless assistance. CLEAN UP THIS PARK! Never coming back! read more

There are way too many homeless people living in this park. I understand someone needs to stop and rest, but there are people living there, with tons of stuff. They change out in the open. I had to shelter my 4 year olds eyes as we were trying to leave. There seems to be drug deals as well closer to the skate park. It's such a shame because it's a nice park. The city should patrol it better. read more

Loved the playground for my 2&5yr olds. Shaded play area and so many slides, climbing toys, etc. Lots of picnic tables near play area. Gave it two stars because there were many transients all around the park, many RVs, & I'm pretty sure I saw a drug deal in the skate park parking lot. Yikes! The city needs to have more presence here. It's a great park that's been taken over by less desirable elements. read more

It's a nice park, it has two baseball fields, large picnic area, skate park and the bathrooms are semi decent. The problem is the homeless people who take up most of the space, they aren't trouble, but if your a snob you probably wont like it here. read more
