I had Upland pools come to my house via my home warranty because the motor would not run after being off for several months while I had the pool replastered . The service person checked the motor and said he had to replace it. After a week he came back and replaced the motor and it still didn't work, so he had to replace the drive unit. He replaced the drive on his next trip and it worked fine ,I asked the service person if he was going to connect my remote key pad to the motor since i had it previously had it connected and working .He told me he had to get another cable to connect it and it would be a week. I even ordered new dummy cover for the drive thinking I could just connect it myself like I did the first time, this is when I found out the service person installed an OLDER motor and drive that's why the key pad will not connect. That was January and after repeated calls by me and the warranty company no one will answer the phone at Upland Pool supply. I DO NOT RECCOMEND UPLANDPOOL SUPPLY THE SERVICE IS NOT GOOD, and there seems to be some serious issues with these people. Law suit... read more

They could not figure out how to fix my pool heater after two 3 hour long repair sessions. They reported to my home warranty company that the fault lies with the construction of our yard wall. (Note we have a hundred homes in the complex with the same surrounding wall, built but a reputable contractor and pool company.) Now the warranty will not cover any repair. Buyer, Beware of Upland Pool Supply - the worst spa service company! AHS hired them as a service provider to repair our spa heater in April 2023. The technician that came out to assess our spa heater, was literally here for five minutes, took pictures, and left (all caught on my surveillance camera). According to the technician's notes "the heater has damaged the heat exchanger due to low gas pressure from meter. Low gas pressure is due to inadequately sized piping from gas meter to underground has caused poor flame. This will be the only reason for soot built up at heat exchange". As a matter of fact, Upland Pool Supply did not undue the union to test the gas pressure with a barometer to confirm this false claim. Consequently, I filed a complaint with AHS and got a second opinion from a local reputable pool & spa company who tested the gas pressure and confirmed that I have a 425 meter, the biggest I can go without going commercial; the main gas line is an inch and a quarter, less than 10 feet from the heater. Therefore, there is nothing wrong with my gas pressure or sizing of my gas piping! Upland Pool Supply's true intention is to ensure AHS denies the service claim so that they get paid and are pushed up to the top of the AHS insurance service list. I am also aware that American Home Shield incentivizes service providers like Upland Pool Supply to reduce costs and deny claims to save money. I have been a loyal customer of American Home Shield for almost 20 years, AHS has intentionally forgotten about placing the paying customer first, which will result in no growth due to loss of repeat and protentional new customers. Upland Pool Supply is sending out unqualified people to check my short issues in the pool pump. The pump trips the breaker when the spa is on, not when the filter runs or when the heater runs. The "technician " said increase my breaker size. I'm not an electrician but that doesn't seem to be a safe fix for a short. The pump shows operating range 4.9 - 15.6 , I have a 15 amp breaker. The company said they would send an electrician but it was the same guy that showed up last week and told my wife that he wasn't an electrician. Any input from an electrician would be appreciated. read more

The same day the service tech came out, AHS closed the case labeling it as resolved. I had no call, no report, no explanation why it was closed out, yet the pool heater was in the same non-working condition. After several calls over 5 days, having received various answers what was being done, from the insurance company (AHS) Upland Pool NEVER contacted me or sent me any explanation of what they found in their 13 minute inspection. AHS gave another story - a variation of the prior three stories, but this time I heard there was no added cost to me ( before i heard $250 extra), and that parts where on order and she authorized they service company to talk to me directly. However, Upland Pool continued to ignore my requests and return my calls. Finally I fixed the pool heater myself changing out a few thermocouples and cleaning up the wiring. There was NO MULTIMEDIA CENTER (MMC) failure as Upland Pool claimed. Of course, the MMC is NOT covered in my contract, so this was either a lie or pure incompetence on the part of Upland Pool Supply. This type of NO-SERVICE has been my experience every time I need service from AHS vendors. Better to self insure using the inflated monthly payment of $90 put into a bank account! read more

Our pool pump died unexpectedly. Our home warranty company assigned a vendor who couldn't come out for 2 weeks!! I asked the warranty company to reassign to another vendor and they assigned us to Upland. This company called me right away and sent two very courteous gentlemen to my home within the hour. They replaced the capacitor and had the pump running again in no time, but explained that since the pump was so old the fix may be temporary. Sure enough, the pump stopped working within 2 weeks. Upon calling them back, they worked with my home warranty company (which usually puts up so many barriers to pay anything out) to help us remedy the situation. If you are looking for a professional and knowledgeable pool company to give you accurate information on the issues you are having, upland pool supply is not the one. My insurance old republic sent them to inspect a leak, first time they came they said my filter tank needed lubing and adjustments, within a few days it started leaking again. Then Joel the owner came the second time. Indicated that theirs a crack on the filter tank and it needs to be replaced. He submitted his estimate with assumptions on pre-existent due to an over spray on the top of the tank that protect its from the heat. The issue was from the bottom of the tank, where no over spray was on. In addition, our pool equipment was fully inspected and checked by professional inspector before we moved in, this was not an issue or any signs of leaks. To assume, and say something you are not 100% sure is not a reliable company I would do business with. read more

Our pool heater gave out and fortunately we were still covered under our home warranty. The home warranty company referred us to two pool companies to check out the heater. The first two never came out, so finally we were referred to Upland Pool Supply. I was able to appointment with them (easily) and they have an app that keeps you updated to the date/time of appointment, and also the ETA of technician. Our pool heater needed to be replaced and Joel was able to do the job in a few hours. After the job was done, i noticed a small leak in one of the pipes. I called Joel and he returned in less than an hour to fix the leak. I was very impressed with his willingness to 1) get the job done in a timely manner and 2) address any issues that came up afterwards. Great customer service! read more

Horrible company and disrespectful for customers !!! I have All American Home Shield Insuranse , my pool filters start to leak , I requested service 10 days ago and Upland Pool Supply is contractor for AHS . I had my appointment on Tuesday April 22 . Employee from Upland Pool Company show up , he only look at system , just ask me what was happen , do not turn on filters to run system !!! to see what's going on , do not open or touch my pool equipment, just take a pic and told me everything will be covered and they let me know what day they will come to fix my pool . After that they emailed me that my appointment today Monday April 25 from 8-10 am . At Friday I call to Upland Pool Company and had conversation with the Joel, I assume he is a owner , I ask him what do they plan to do , replace or repair my filters . He told me , that is reparable and they will do that . I ask him how do he know if that problem can be fixed, If they never turn on /run , or open my filtration system and I would like to replace better , because I need a pool for my child with learning disability every day , especially now , when all gym and activities are close and If they show up Monday , open filters and will see that need to replace , I will have to wait another week , my pool will turn green and I would like to avoid that . He start telling me not nicely that he know that my filters can be fixed and I am basically don't know what I am talking about , I assume , that because I am a woman . He told me , they will show up Monday and repair my filters . Yesterday I had conversation with AHS representative ( I had extention number and witness) , I explained him what I am concern about and that I would like to replace filters because water leak are horrible I can't run filters at all for all that time . He told me he will send email for Upland Pool Supply and change a order and yes that covered . Today from 8-10 am no one show up , no text , no calls, no emails . I call to Upland Pool Supply and again talk with Joel , I ask him why that no one come over at the time? He told me that AHS not covers repair. I ask him if so , why that no cancellation text or email ? He just hang off phone . I immediately call to AHS , representative told me that Upland Pool Company send them today report that my filter damage cost not by normal wear and tear but by chemical damage . I requested second opinion and told to AHS I will ask them to open system and will recording allthat , because Upland Pool Company can't complete report , they not open or run my filters to see what is a problem and leak is from the bottom part you can't see especially if you don't run system . I also point them that I have 24 hours video supervision on my back yard that proof Upland Pool Company can't submit truly report because they not check a problem , don't even look at that . I am really disappointed with that service , I requested copy of report and I will posted after I will have company with second opinion. read more
