What a joke of a company. Let me be fair and first say that that the people who schedule the appointments are very nice on the phone or via text. But the Company hardly ever answers their phones or replies promptly to text messages. The bigger issue was the technicians. They came out twice to address the issue with my pool pump. The first time they just left and said nothing was wrong, when there was obviously a big issue. The bearings were shot and making enough noise to be heard 3 houses down. They came out a second time and still couldn't/wouldn't address the issue. They submitted a service form to the insurance company saying that issue was caused by excessive water pressure. Whatever that means! I had the insurance company send a different company for a 2nd opinion. When I talked to the new company on the phone and explained the situation they inquired on who was the first service vendor. When I said Upland, they laughed and said they follow up on their work all the time and that many other customers have had a similar issue. The new vendor addressed the issue. The technician explained what needed to be done and filed the paperwork with the insurance company promptly. They will have the issue fixed/addressed promptly. Marty Lopez was the technician that came out today. He was on time, courteous, and kind. He noted that an O ring had not been fitted correctly which was causing the leak. Absolutely horrible. Made me wait 2 weeks to come out every time.... Came out and fixed part of a job and said they don't cover the other part- even though it should have been covered. Also took 2 months to fix the part they did fix, ordered one part at a time and tried to see if it would work...then said no that was not the problem and ordered something else and waited 3 more weeks...on and on for 3 attempts before partially fixing it. Came out for a different problem (apparently the only crappy vendor for crappy Home Shield Home Warranty) and did not even look and said they don't provide the service, even though it was on the work order- and still charged me for the visit. bad service, bad ethics, incomplete work.....absolutely horrible!!! read more

The tub was not used and unplugged for few months . Pool man literally put in some chemicals the other day to clean it . If I could give 1/4 star, I would. Owner, Joel, is unresponsive, unprofessional, and lacks the ability to communicate with customers. Tech came out to address chlorinator that was inoperative and we clearly informed them prior to visit to be prepared to replace the unit. Mind you, this was the third visit for the same problem. Tech said that the work order did not state chlorinator had no power, it just said equipment had no power. On that note, Joel told him to leave and do nothing because warranty company did not say chlorinator. Would love to not use them; however, they are the only pool service listed for our home warranty provider, which I am now canceling because of this. read more

Do not use this company! Especially technician Dennis. This company is full of lies! I am not one to write reviews but this company is so bad I had to. I filed a claim with my home warranty which is American Home Shield for my pool heater that was leaking. A technician named Dennis came out to my house. He was here for less that 5 minutes, he took a few photos and did not even inspect what may be causing the leak. He just said "oh this is a heater that is at least 15 years old ( which it's not) and the heater needs to be replaced. Dennis said that this is caused by unbalanced chemicals as he quoted me for a new heater with his company on my own dime. I test my water every week and take it to the pool store to get tested twice per month. My pool chemical levels are always great! I like having a clean blue pool. Dennis even tested my water before be left and said my pool chemicals were good. Which means that the leak was caused by normal wear and tear. When I contacted the insurance company they told me the claim was denied. Dennis wrote on the claim saying the salt cell and high PH levels caused the leak. There is NO WAY he was able to determine that since he did not even inspect anything. I called my insurance company and demanded a second opinion. A technician from a different company came out and solved the issue in 10 minutes. He actually inspected my heater and was able to see that is was just a cap with a bad O ring ( costs $10.00). The new technician said " if he would have just bent over to see the leak he would have seen the issue" the new technician said my pool heater is in great condition. read more

The first technician that was sent to fix the pool pump motor ended up having to come back two times . During the last repair attempt my husband found him replacing the control panel for the pump. He stated they were just basically being nice and giving us a new one. This was not something that was supposed to have even been touched nor was it necessary to be replaced as it was working fine. He handed my husband the owners manual and told my husband he needed to program it himself. My husband told him "no" . " You touched it , you finish it and program it" Again, this was not the issue they were sent out to fix, and it's a part that's not covered through our warranty. We are of the belief that the technician managed to fry our original controls and therefore was trying to sneak in a new replacement. It never worked . The owner came out and had a confrontation with my husband. He tried to pass off the issue as our problem. The pool pump is now not working and blows the breaker. We will be seeking reimbursement for all future repairs. This company completely jacked up our pool! Update: Hired a Large Company to check it out and they found: Technician ran a screw through a wire. Board is shorting out, and may need replacing. read more

Upland pool supply was contracted by AHS to repair pool filter and heater. Pool pump was leaking water from back wash valve and pool heater would run for 15 - 20 min than the igniter would turn off. Pool tech comes out and tells me that all back wash valve all leak and this can be capped to prevent the water from leaking. I had to insist this isn't correct and I wanted it repaired 3 weeks later they decided to repair. They never diagnosed the heater until the filter was completed. So month later a pool tech comes out and says it is the igniter and will order part. 2 weeks later tech returns and said it wasn't the igniter it is the mother board part order. 1 week later tech arrives and said the wrong part was sent and they would have to reorder. When the tech left they left the power turned off atbthe. Breaker turned off . This breaker controlled power to the pool pump and the pump didn't run for several days during freeze warning. We called upland pool and they would follow up with tech. Tech returns 2 weeks later and says he doesn't know what the previous tech did so he was going to schedule the previous tech to come out. When he left the breaker for pool pump and heater was turned off the cabinet for the heater was left wide open with exposed wires screws from the cabinet and mother Board on the ground and the Aqualine cabinet open. We reported this to upland pool and they said they would follow up. Upland pool called call back and said the tech said he didn't leave the cabinets open or power off. We supplied video from our security cameras with the tech leaving the cabinets open and power off even the conversation on the phone saying the previous tech needs to come back out because he doesn't know what he did with the wires. They said they would follow up. 2 days later tech comes out and secures cabinets and writes report the wire harness needs to be replaced due to improper wiring. I have been trying nto contact upland pool since 2/16 . Left numerous messages and text with no response. Going on 3 months without the proper repairs numerous hours taken off from work for appointments read more

My Hayward H400 heater ( installed 2013 ) was acting up showing error code "CE" for Communications Error between the Control Module and the Display Interface Assembly. Technician Marty showed up on time. He determined that the Control Module had several burnt spots and needed replacement and will contact my Fidelity Home Warranty to order a replacement Control Module and a follow-up appointment to be scheduled. He answered all of my questions regarding my pool equipments ( heater, pump, etc ) since he told me he has over 30+ years of experience. Upland Pool Supply is NOT reliable. They were contracted by American Home Warranty to come to our house to assess the issues with our electrical, pool equipment and leakage. The technician they sent was at the house for maybe 5 minutes, said he needed to send images to his manager and left. They reported 1/4 of the issues to the Home Warranty company and even told them that all the electrical and all of the plumbing was underground, which clearly is not the case. They made their 75.00 and bailed. Not acceptable. If your home warranty company sends them JUST SAY NO AND INSIST ON ANOTHER COMPANY. Something seems very "off" here. read more

I had a different company look at it first, and they replaced a bunch of parts but didn't actually fix the issue! I have a home warranty, so I asked for a different option. At his request I texted him pictures of the system, and less than 48 hours later he showed up fully prepared with parts he thought might be needed. They said they would be able to repair it and came to the house but made no contact with me to advise what is going on. They are completely unresponsive to questions. I contacted my warranty company due do my pool pump. They dispatched Upland Pool Supply. I had an outstanding experience from the very beginning. The same day that I filed my claim, Joel reached out letting me know they will be working on my claim. I filed my claim on a Sunday evening and my appointment was set for the following Tuesday. On the day of my appointment, Dennis from UPS called to let me know he was on the way, he was early as well. He stopped by and diagnosed my issue, explained the process and advised that repairs will be made. He went out for parts and returned to fix my pool pump on the same day. I'm so disappointed with this company. I requested service through my home warranty, AHS. The service technician was friendly and thorough and told me that the repairs on our pool equipment are covered under our warranty plan. A couple of days later I was informed by AHS that Upland Pool Supply informed them that the damage was not normal wear and tear (how is a leak within a pool heater not normal wear and tear?) and that it is not covered and now have to pay over $600 to Upland, out of pocket. How do they go from "it's covered" to "it's not covered" in a matter of a day? I tried calling to speak with them but reached their vm and have to listen to a very long message and then can't leave a vm because the mailbox is full. So I texted and have not received a reply. I'm glad others had a positive experience but I can't say the same and I will not be using this company to repair my pool equipment. read more

They come 2 month to change the motor of my pool with some other part, cover by the home warranty. 2 days ago the casquet of the pump is leaking and they replace it during the service. Be careful about using upland pool service. The guy came to my house and told that my pool motor is burnt due to age. He then went back to the warranty and reported that it's due to water leak and rust. I have requested a second company and got the issue taken care off as there was no leak. This company need a lesson in communication and customer service. They reported that we had altered our system b by removing a check valve that was never installed in the first place. I checked with pentair and hayward and both companies told me that the "check valve" is not required. So needless to say AHS denied our claim. I purchased a house with a pool late last year and never really had to deal with pool maintenance before. I noticed our pool motor wasn't going on anymore so we contacted our home insurance. They dispatched Upland Pool Supply and Jimmy came out to see what was happening with the motor as well as the water level lowering in our jacuzzi. Showed up on time and within 20 minutes told us what was wrong. Later that day, He installed the new motor, and replaced the valve for the jacuzzi. He was very professional, knew what he was talking about and provided some good tips on pool maintenance. The service I needed originally was not fixed, then when I called again to have them fix the issue that I originally requested, I was told that my message would be passed along to the manager and he would call me back. They will make first contact via cell phone and then will come out, do as little as possible and NOT fix the issue then avoid your calls and texts. They are kept perfect so my daughter doesn't have a bad reaction. Upland are not only liars but are only in it for the service fees they collect by coming out. We called August 18 our warranty company. They sent us Upland Pool Supply. All I can say is....WOW! They showed up around 5 pm that same day. After diagnosing our pool system, Christian documented what was wrong. When we asked when we could expect to hear from them regarding the repair/replacement, he thought Monday. Much to our amazement and pleasure, we received a text that same evening informing us that their technician would be at our home (the next day) August 19 between 8 and 10 am. Jimmy arrived around 9 and completed the repair by 10:30. We are very impressed with the speed, trade skills, and professionalism of this company. Everything is running perfectly.
