THE Wecker driver said it was free of charge to my girlfriend. who was driving our car. My girlfriend is named Carla Burns. I used this place last year and they were reliable, so today when I was stranded downtown SRQ with a dead battery they came promptly again. Tow truck driver, young man, nasty, rude, totally unprofessiona. took fob with all my keys instead of Fob that only had car key. I'm locked out and only have cell phone. Called tow truck driver immediately, and told him to drop my keys off only leaving car key with dealer. He said no he wasn't bringing my keys and to call Uber, and I said all billfold locked inside my house. He agreed to bring my keys and I stood in hot sun waiting for an hour. Prick didn't show up. Car doors wouldn't open after hurricane, but no flooding where car parked, just lots of sea debris, but he made snap judgment and said flooded car, totaled. He wouldn't talk to me. Asked for keys. I gave him two fobs to try door. He gets the car door open but won't tell me how. Just spit out that my car is totaled due to flooding. I have pics where there was no flooding in our parking lot. I needed to get suitcase out of car, but he wouldn't cooperate or talk just kept rolling car up. He took off with my key fob that contains all of my keys; house key, mail, office. I had my cellphone and called right away b/c he towed 3 miles from me. I have to find a way to dealership for my keys. I needed my car towed to a repair shop. The tow truck guy said he had to do something to disconnect the gearshift instead of putting it in neutral.It sounded fishy. He said they could easily fix it at the repair shop. After driving my car the gearshift was loose and slipped and did not shift into gear like it should. So I take it to my mechanic and says there is a baggie tie holding the gear piece together which was broke. And obviously very dangerous driving with just a baggie tie and no cable! I remember the tow guy going under the front of the car and this was probably why. The cable was broken and repair bill was $650.00 for this b.s.. which was a lot more than I paid for the tow.I called the company back and told him the situation and he hung up on me. Wow. Don't trust Upmann Towing. Lowest of the low for customer service. I would rate them a huge negative 0. read more

Talked them yesterday to make an appointment for a tow the next morning. They said they do not make appointments but just call first thing in the morning and we will come right out. Called several times first thing in the morning and they NEVER answered their phones nor did they ever call back and hour and half later. Stay away from these guys!!!! read more

on March 17th called for tow of the wife's car from Babe Ruth parking lot next to fairgrounds, not in the fairgrounds. Told it would be about 1hr and 1/2. So called at 1hr. To see if they would be on time. No answer. No call back. Called again at 6:30, 7:00,7:30,8:00,8:30and 9:00pm no call back? Finally, I got AAA to pick me up at 10:45 pm and take it 6 miles to my mechanic's shop on Ashton... I would give them negative stars if i could! My vehicle was towed by them. Thay damaged my car! My steering was way off and my front driver side bumper was scratched and dented! I had just had a bunch of front end work done, including an alignment, which i had to have done again! There is no repairing the bumper, which would need to be replaced! They tow vehicles for a living! How do they not know how to tow cars without damaging them? Dont EVER use this company!!! read more

This company is a fraud! My car was picked up by this towing company on March 8th, 2022. I went to the towing yard on March 9th, 2022 to get some things out of the car. I spoke to the guy at the front desk who gave me the key to the car and told him Automation will be by to pick up the vehicle and he told me no problem and thanks for telling him. Automation came and they did not release the vehicle to them because they said they needed a verbal release! It is now March 22 and they still have my car after I went in person and gave them the release! Some guy answered the phone when I called yesterday March 21st 2022 and said they had two red Camry and put the release on the wrong one. Of course they want to be paid for their mistake and take no responsibility for their act of poor workmanship! This is the worst towing place I've ever experience. First of all the whole entire staff was very rude when we were nothing but polite . We just got our car back on the 6th day of a 5 day hold . When we went there to get it the glove compartment was broken and doesn't shut now . The towing guy that moves the car literally was drunk or on something but he was slow and dropped another persons car onto mine and the lady on the phone was cussing us out for no reason .
