Her lounge/sitting area isn't the best of decor Ive seen for an office, which was kinda lame but that's my personal choice has nothing to reflect on her on duty as an MD. So I'm sitting there in these uncomfortable chairs that are closely packed side by side as if I'm in a platoon awaiting for some stumper mission to be handed down upon me, I am called to see Dr. Cestero. Kind & endearing women, but her english need work lol. Her first language is spanish so I was little off being that mi espanol es no bueno & no me praticar (and i dont practice) for the english speakers. So she is observing my condition & and mentions a reason for why it could have occured but the language barrier was difficult to overcome. Now for everyone who was spanish speaking (which was everyone) I clearly saw they were comfortable with her & that's great. Overall she was able to address my concern & her bedside manner was courteous for our language barrier but i would have liked to have asked more questions. All in all she diagnosed my condition on spot & its healing rather quickly, so kudos to Dr. Cestero!

She has taken the time to answer all of my questions despite how busy she may be. I've also found the receptionists there to be polite each time I've spoken to them. Dr. Evans' website is also easy to navigate. Overall I believe dermatology offices can become quite busy since they not only conduct assessments but have to perform lengthy procedures depending on their patients' needs. I just came back from a facial with Carmen, who works with Dr. Evans. Her technique and room is kept neat and clean. I felt nurtured and relaxed from my treatment. I believe she has been in this line of work for 35 years. It was nice that throughout the facial she asked if I was comfortable. Also, I was pleasantly surprised that while I was waiting for my face mask to dry, I also received a lovely foot treatment as well. I highly recommend Carmen.

The waiting room always seems to be packed, so bring a book or magazines with you (unless you love reading AARP Magazine). I've noticed that when the wait is especially long, that Dr. Laufer has been a bit rushed in speaking with me, but his exams are still thorough. He has always kept an eye on anything unusual with my skin (apparently people in their 20s are not immune to melanoma) and he urges his patients to stop using indoor tanning booths. He's an interesting doctor - he's a vegan and I've followed some of what he does nutrition-wise (on my own accord, not because he told me to) and have noticed a significant improvement in my skin. He also converted his car, which originally ran on diesel, to run on filtered vegetable oil. So cool. He's awesome.

I figured if she could trust Helping Kids Pediatrics with her kids, then I do not need to look any further. Now, 8 years later AND a county away, Drs. Jacobs continues to care for all four of our children. I can honestly say that they treat our kids like their own. Both doctors are like walking encyclopedias; with knowledge not only in their pediatric specialty, but also in various other specialties. Their expertise help new and veteran parents make informed decisions about their children's care. Dr. Elizabeth is also a Lactation Consultant, so for brand new mother's, this is such a blessing in one easy location! They are very responsive to any questions that I may have AND with any documentation needed (especially for school-aged kids). We scheduled a visit prior to our son being born. The 2 of them spent over and hour with us answering dozens of questions and never once pushed for our commitment. After the meeting my wife and I were very confident in their abilities as physicians. They are parents themselves and this was evident right away. There was no doubt we were choosing them as our sons physicians. It has been 9 months and at least a dozen visits now and I am happy to report that our expectations have not only been met but exceeded. I would not hesitate to recommend this team to anyone I know.
