The food tonight was excellent as always but our server was awful. Chewing her gum like a cow when talking with us was very rude, when asked for the list of wine her reply was we don't have one. The Upper Crust Pizza, was a delicious pizza, a pie truly worthy title and can hold it's own with the ones from New York or Chicago. The submarine sandwiches were okay but could have used fresher lettuce had wilted by the time we gotten back to the hotel. They were still good. Stepped into this place excited for a good slice of pizza. Wasn't greeted with any warmth. My boyfriend asked the server how her day was going and she threw our menus down on the table and walked away mumbling something. I took one look at my boyfriend and we left. Try another pizza place in Key Largo. I went there on a Thursday night, b4 long weekend, and they overcharged me and acted like I was some tourist since I had a measly coupon. Pizza was average, ordered a salad which they told me was already made when I realized how expensive it was, and then after pizza came I had to wait for the salad. This wasn't the worst pizza I've ever had, just the worst I've had in the last five years. If I was told they were from the freezer I wouldn't doubt it. We ordered mozzarella sticks that arrived cold. I had to flag down the server at the bar to ask her drop them back in the fryer. She then microwaved them and gave us them back with the cheese falling out. The pizza was horrible and so was the salad. I usually try to refrain from leaving bad reviews as I managed in food and bev. but this was ridiculous. Everything was frozen or canned. The staff was rude, the pizza was terrible and to add the cherry on top I was sitting there watching a girl in the kitchen slicing onions, no gloves then drop several rings onto the dirty floor, she actually picked them up and put them back in the pile she was slicing! Hands down the best pizza and the best wings in the Keys....and that's just the food. They have, hands down, the BEST craft beer selection in South Florida. Craft beer snobs and damn proud. I am a snob when it comes to the crust. After years of perfecting the recipe they have crafted one of the best crusts I have ever had. This is coming from a New York transplant from Jersey and having sampled pizza from Rome, Florence, Napoli and Venice. The topoings are fresh. The wings are perfect and the craft brew flows freely. Horrible experience this past weekend. First we ordered drinks. The waitress comes back and says someone put lemonade in the sierra mist what else do you want. Really, she could have fixed it. We got our drinks and ordered. Ordered a large pizza, half cheese and half with peppers and bread knots. The knots came about 20-25 minutes later. Mind you there was only 1 other table of people then a couple came in and sat at the bar and someone else came in and ordered to go. The knots were not that great, not sure what they put on top, it was not butter and garlic. About 20-25 minutes later the waitress came back with what was supposed to be our pizza. I don't know how anyone would let that leave the kitchen. The half with the cheese was bubbled up and burnt. The wAitress says they told me this was ok. Ahh no!!! What kid is going to eat pizza that is burnt. So she goes back and talks to I'm not sure who. She comes back and says we'll make you a couple cheese slices. So she comes back with 2 slices of what looked like leftovers from lunch. Apparently they freeze slices and just heat them as needed. They looked nasty! We asked for the check. She said I'll get a box. We are like don't bother that is gross. I don't know how anyone would even replace half a messed up pizza with nasty 2 slices and think it's ok. Bad business!!! Then the waitress expected a tip, nope. Did you do for the customer, NOPE. The customers left unsatisfied. If she had gotten them to make a new pizza quickly or removed half the cost of the inedible pizza then absolutely she would deserve it. She didn't understand that concept and said thanks I'll feed my kids tomorrow. If you wanna feed your kids then provide excellent service to your customers and they will take care of you with plenty tip $$. read more

We just ordered 3 slices of pepperoni pizza to go, when we opened the box they were the smallest slices I had ever seen. In addition, the pizza was Not fresh and re-heated. Crust was hard and almost no cheese, ingredients were dry... I walked back into the store and the server said "that's how the slices are" (with the manager in the background) ... We paid $3.25 per slice for a disappointment. Avoid the BAD pizza & the attitude. read more

My family had a dinner and a lunch here around New Years. The pizza was very good and the wait was not long. The service was great. After a day on the water, I was looking forward to a beer and the draft beer selection (all craft beer) was eclectic and high quality. I visited Upper Crust Pizza after a bad experience at the overly highly rated Tower of Pizza. I found this to be much better. Plenty of tasty ingredients, not greasy and just right, not too thick, not too thin. Sauce was great, and great crust. Try it. Casual dining, friendly service and very good pizza.
