I have been trying to get a package of medical supplies for the past week (since June 16th, when it should've been delivered to me.) I have spoken to several people and have told them that I didn't make the request to hold my package, that I am disabled and don't drive, so the delivery person must've chosen to make that decision. To date (6/23), I am speaking with a UPS Rep. right now. He again confirms that the package is being held, but doesn't know where. How is this so???? These are medical supplies that I need, and some driver/delivery person decided not to do his/her job and simply deliver the package. They instead, made a decision to lie and say that I requested that the package be held at a UPS center. I have spoken to 5 UPS reps and still am without my package. I paid to have package deltvered .instead when i got home they left a sticker saying to pick up at a certan adress,so I went there ,the business does not open until 1pm,why would ups hire a company that does not have normal buisness to represent them.So i went there after 1pm,still no package there ,the store said to come back after 3pm.It said nothing on sticker reguarding any of this.Also there is no way to reach a live person to complain because their afraid of all the calls they woud get .Iam going back after 3pm after wasting an afternoon trying to get what I paid to have delivered to my house!And how much do you want to bet it wontbe there ,Dont use ups,there are plenty of other delivery services out there ! read more

Incompetent. I have been trying to send a passport from Chesterfield MO to Chicago il. I took it to my local UPS store and said I wanted to ship it overnight. The clerk said oh it will be just as fast to send it ground. I said are you sure. He said yes. It will get there tomorrow - Friday. Well Friday went by and by the afternoon the tracking site said it would be delivered Monday. I called customer service and after a 30 minute wait for a person and asked if we could just pick it up. It was being held at a site 10 miles from its destination. I was told no. The customer service person promised me she would call me Monday and make sure I got my passport. If course she never called. Since then the tracking app said the passport would be delivered between 10 and 12 today. Of it wasn't. I again called customer service and was told that the driver had only 2 more stops . That was 3 hours ago. I am disgusted with this incompetence. First of all the tracking app is useless, totally inaccurate. Don't have one if it isn't accurate. The whole situation from the misinformation at the original site, to the inability to get a package delivered when it is 10 miles away is absurd. I am so disappointed. Whadd'ya want? FedEx or something? It's no where near as well oiled as the FedEx machine, but slightly better oiled than the government USPS machine. As far as UPS customer services centers go, this is one of the worst. You will wait and you will be annoyed. Nothing here is efficient, despite UPS being a relatively efficient machine. If I could just figure out how to make UPS actually ring my doorbell, I wouldn't be here picking up packages so often. They may claim your package is "in a locker" which sounds so convenient! Only to find out, the lockers were actually full so it's not there and you need to come back and wait and interrogate the unhelpful peeps at the counter during business hours. In the lucky case you are only shipping something, do come with a pre-paid label...ain't no one wanna wait in that line to pay for a shipment! Big Company that thinks it's not responsible to people that order the packages. THey seem to only answer to companies that is big business. I now had schedule for a pick up twice. UPS drivers to come pick up an item that I am returning from my residence. Yet to pick up the item they suppose to pick up. This time, like the first time I find the printed label outside. saying first attempt. only this time.. I had actually scheduled a time frame between 12 PM and 1 PM to pick it up. It's noon now as I type this review and the label was in my mailbox around 11:30 AM. I heard no knocking on my front door nor did I hear my doorbell being ranged, which does work. UPS has again and again proven up reliable and untrustworthy to deliver or pick up items.. especially if you can't follow a schedule. read more

I don't understand the so so reviews on this UPS Customer Center because my experience has been fantastic and so convenient. I'm shipping packages back to my headquarters in California on a weekly basis and I fill out the way bills in advance. The guys in the shipping department have been very cordial and helpful. The most ridiculous 15 minutes I've ever spent waiting in line. Went in there's only one person in front of me and 2 customer service reps behind the counter on 1 phone call. One rep (a lady with an extremely slow shuffle) is on hold on the phone while the other (an man who watches a person on hold on the phone) is waiting by her side. The lady hands the man the phone and says "I'm on hold" before handing the phone over to the man and shuffling to the counter to help the man in front of me. It takes her a full 10 minutes to put tape on his already closed package (completely unnecessary) and ask if he needs a receipt. If I could leave a negative star I would. I really don't understand why this business is still in business. They have failed me more times than not. They have once again sent my Christmas gifts back. They refuse to knock or ring the doorbell. We have came on our front and back door so we rewind and see that they sit in the truck till out the form and stick it in the door without an attempt to let us know they are there. We have our dad living with us in hospice, someone has to be home 24/7 there is no excuse. When we think our packages are going to be delivered by ups we place a sign in the door that is a 15 inch squad written in black market asking for a knock on the door of to ring the door bell, never happens. I really don't understand if they are coming to the door to stick the notice on, why can't they have us our package. The last time they returned all of our Christmas gifts I was t the ups office and they only have me two of the packages while all the rest sit on the shelf...why??? They ended up return them all and the company we bought them from could not return our money until January 2 so my children did not have a Christmas. This year I stayed on the phone and made extra efforts to get our Christmas...all it happened again. I reordered our gifts on the 20 th of December and paid out the nose for our gifts to make it by December 24. I don't know why I bother to take them not knocking or ring t the doorbell nothing is ever done. I bet the companies I shop with not to send my packages through ups but it is still done. I have offered to pay the extra shipping to no avail. How is a company this large functioning like they are working 20 years in the past? Noelle that manager at UPS.com was nice enough, but it took 25 minutes to get to her. She spoke without stopping for 5 minutes straight in order to tell me the exact same information as the agent had 18 minutes earlier: that once a parcel is loading on a truck in the morning, it can't be delivered 2 blocks away from the original delivery address. There's a 24 hour hold, and so on. The ancient technology being used by UPS that makes it impossible for their business to be agile and their agents to make slight changes to deliveries is not Noelle's fault. The fact that she tried to direct me to use myUPS.com to make this change is, because myUPS.com can't make a change like this either. When you try, the error, "You can change your delivery after a delivery attempt has been made" comes up. We have the technology to do this better, and shouldn't have to wait the better part of 30 minutes and explain ourselves 2-3 times to different people only to be given the wrong information. read more

He not only came out to the locker with me to help me work it (because I didn't have my bf's ID with me), but he also came back out 5 mins later to make sure I had been successful getting the package out. Filed a Better Business Bureau complaint that could not be resolved due to the inefficiency of this company. I would absolutely advise not using UPS if you care that your item is going to get where you intend it to go in the time that you intend it to go there. They refuse to list phone numbers for their facilities so that you can make arrangements if something is not working properly in the delivery and their customer service insists that they have no way of contacting their local facilities (which is a lie!). The local UPS Store which is locally owned said that they get in trouble if they accommodate a customer by providing the phone number. I was to receive an Overnight Express Priority and it finally arrived 5 days late. It was time sensitive but their customer service would not help in the least. After I filed the BBB complaint the customer service rep apologized and said that I should have been treated better! That is not an answer. I am absolutely sure that their customer service staff is trained to give us run arounds. If you do not heed this warning, you are taking a 50/50 chance on a delivery! read more

Terrible customer service. Came to pick up a package and was told it had been returned to the sender (the same day as the last delivery attempt) because of too many failed delivery attempts. The notice that items will be returned to sender is in fine print on the back of the delivery slip, and it does not mention how long this will take. Since FEDEX and the postal service actually will hold for packages (for at least two days, and up to a week), some confusion is understandable. None of this is the fault of the people who run this facility. The little bald man behind the counter, however, is definitely their fault. This man lacks any instinct for customer service, or even common courtesy. He's curt, unhelpful, and unpleasant. Here's a great customer service tip - when you're explaining to someone that a package they need is on its way to Tennessee, express some sympathy, understand that very few people make it their job to memorize the UPS delivery policy, and offer a solution to the problem (even if it's as simple as "call the sender and get them to re-ship your item"). Even a simple smile would go a long way. Don't stare blankly, then point at a sign on the wall, and imply the situation is the customer's fault. Every interaction I've had with this man over the last two years has been unpleasant. I've seen him treat other customers even worse. I'm sure this guy deals with unhappy customers all the time because of bad UPS policies, but that's no excuse. There are hundreds of thousands of customer service professionals who deal with unhappy customers every day who use tact, grace, and empathy to turn lemons into lemonade. The problem with this guy isn't that he's a bad person, it's that he's incompetent at customer service. If UPS cared about their customers they would fire him or transfer him to a role that doesn't involve human interaction. I'm annoyed. I bought some shoes online and noticed that longer than normal time had gone by and I never received my package. I go to track it online and see that FOUR days prior, they had issues delivering it to me. You think someone might have wanted to tell me that? I call the service center, the lady tells me that I did not provide an apartment number, which I was and still am confused about, because I did. What I *did* notice is that I accidentally juxtaposed two numbers on the street address, leading them to a building that didn't exist. She gave me the address and hours and told me I could come pick it up. Got around to getting over there today, gave the guy my tracking number, and he said accusingly, "It's been sitting here for seven days! We were getting ready to return it!" My first issue with this: why didn't that beezy on the phone warn me that if I didn't get there in a timely matter, they would have sent it back?! I said defensively, "It's been sitting here for seven days because no one told me it was here!" "We sent a postcard. Guess the postman couldn't find it, either," he snootily replied. "That's because the address was written down wrong. That address does not exist. If it didn't exist for you, it didn't exist for them either. Why did no one call me?" "We send postcards," he said curtly as he shoved towards me the pad to sign. "That's what we do. It's our policy." I had two failed delivery attempts, so I called and used the automated system to ask them to hold it at this location for me to pick up (that was also very easy). Went today to pick it up. But since it was free of charge for me to go through UPS I went here. I strolled in around 1PM on a Thursday and was literally in and out in less than 5 minutes. I can't say that the staff was overly friendly but they weren't extremely rude either. The guy handed me a form and pen and told me to fill it out. I rather like this place and location. It's annoying to get into the parking lot if you're coming from the highway, but that's pretty much all I hvae to say about this place that's negative. There is a parking lot. The service is pretty good. The people are nice. It's also NOT out in the middle of I'm way too lost for this. It's just off a highway, easy to get to, easy to get home. Wow, so this place really does exist. Too bad it doesn't show up on UPS's website when you search for locations, and it's hard to find via Google Maps. Though it is right off of the Jefferson exit (on your left). You walk in, there's a small window where you give your package slip and ID, they find your package, and off you go. I didn't have to wait in any lines, they found my package right away, works like it's supposed to. Would be better, though, if it was easier to find the address online. read more

Wonderful location. There is a high level of package theft in St. Louis City (no surprise there...) and UPS flatly has not and will never leave a package at my door without someone there to sign for it. Frustratingly, since I'm never home during the day, it seemed as if I was almost required to come home to those yellow sticky notes on my door so I could sign it and authorize them to leave it. VERY FRUSTRATING!! Well before MyChoice even existed, I was able to talk to the man at Will Call and he coached me through how to ensure it was always just held for pick up. No more yellow tags, no more failed delivery attempts, just a simple phone call from Will Call on the day it arrives telling me to come get it. Awesome staff! read more

Boy, I miss the days when you would get prompt service with either the person ringing your door bell or knocking to get you to sign the receipt and then hand you the package...or...if you weren't available to receive it, they would leave a notice on your door indicating that they did make a delivery attempt.....no excuses, no wrong address deliveries, no robotic attitudes either. If I could give this place a zero star, I could. I had been expecting a server to be shipped to my home via UPS. When I realized that I was going to be out of town on the day that it was going to arrive, I called UPS to hold the package. I was told that I could pick up the server once I got back into town. When I got back in town earlier than expected, the driver still delivered the server without requiring a signature! The person who shipped the server requested that a signature be required for delivery. The server was delivered in a damaged box with the packing peanuts coming out. Thank goodness that the server was in working condition. In the past in another town, I would call UPS to hold packages for me without any problem. ZERO STARS!!! Very disappointed called UPS never heard back from them. I bought an expensive rug. The company I ordered the rug from assured me when I placed the order UPS would obtain a signature and they would leave it on the front porch they could not bring it in the house. Fortunately, I was home when the delivery truck arrived. The driver pulled up to the curb and opened up the truck When the driver saw myself and another female he asked us to help him remove the rug from the truck. Stating that it was against UPS policy to unload anything over one hundred and something pounds the carpet weight was 230 lbs he further pointed out he had to leave it at the curb on a busy street by the way it just started to rain. I questioned way he was delivering something he could not take off the truck. He stated they usually send two guys for heavy deliveries. I pressed him to call for assistant he refused stating it was to late in the day. I requested he take the carpet back to UPS and I would contact them tomorrow to arrange delivery. He then proceeded to remove the carpet from the truck. Grumbling he can not afford to injury himself. My friend and I literally pushed the carpet up the steps in to the house on our hands and knees. We did not have a choice it was raining. The company I purchased the rug from reimbursed me the delivery fee and was very apologetic. Not UPS never heard a word from them. read more
