I am so appalled at this service. No one can help, I am stuck in my house all day, can not leave or I don't receive my package which is a computer that I need for work until Monday. This is absolute garbage. No one has the same information to give me, nor did anyone mention that after $1000 in insurance a signature is automatically required and can't be removed. This is insane! WHo has all day to just sit with their thumb in their ass waiting for a package?!!! I would've lowered the insurance to accommodate my needs, or would've liked the guidance and insight at time of shipping to not do ground and do next day air so I had more options. I am stuck and at the mercy of the driver. I don't understand how providing a delivery window is so hard. Even a 3-4 hr window would change my life. I just sent a 69lb box 25"Lx17"Wx21"H with a $2,300 product inside to a customer in Grand Junction, CO. Last scan was Commerce City, CO a week ago. Customer did not get the item and no further scans occurred. Following a trace I initiated UPS started searching the Grand Junction distribution hub. Well it was never scanned there so why check there. From all the complaints here it is obviously sitting in the Commerce CIty, CO hub or stolen. UPS just told me it was 'lost or damaged'. Um, why don't they know which? Then UPS wanted to know if I shipped them a new one? Duh? Why does that matter? You can't talk to anyone at the Commerce City, CO distribution hub. This was scanned there. Was it ever scanned when it went on the truck to Grand Junction, CO? Obviously not or the scan would show. Do they even do that when the ship something onwards to the next hub a UPS truck? Who knows? When it arrives at the next hub do they scan the package to see if the count matches what went on the truck at the previous hub less what was scanned as delivered along the way? Who knows. It is clear to me that the package is either sitting in the Commerce City, CO hub and no one gives a shit about it or it was stolen by someone at UPS or someone who arranged for it to be stolen. You just don't 'lose' a box of this size and weight. I don't have insurance so this is a total loss to me except for UPS' piddly $100 or so automatic insurance. I am a business owner who ships frequently with UPS. I usually go to the UPS Customers Center in Englewood to drop off my shipments. But yesterday, I had some business to do up north, so I stopped by this location to drop off my package. I was greeted by a young man behind the counter. My experience with him made me not wanting to do business with UPS anymore. This young man insisted to see my dealer's license before the package can be shipped. I only ship one box, and I know for a fact that any citizens can ship this item as long as it goes directly to a dealer. I got irritated, but I complied, and showed him my dealer's license ( which I don't think he knows what it supposed to look like!) Next, he said I need to ship the package overnight air, not 2nd day air, and asked for a new label. I have shipped and received enough this type of packages via UPS to know that all dealers in the U.S. ship this items to each other 2nd day air. I even spoke to the UPS Shipping Account Manager in Denver who said it's okay to ship 2nd day air! By now, I'm too upset to argue with someone who is clueless and somewhat rude. Somehow they lost a 33 pound box that was sent to me - it was received in their facility on October 30th and after a day of weather delays, scanned it a few times, with the last being on November 4th at 9:35 a.m., but then STILL never was delivered. After calling several times and talking to three separate people who swore I would receive the package (but still didn't), the Centennial CO office left me a message saying "they just can't find it... sorry". NO PHONE NUMBER to call back on and NO HELP or guidance. What is wrong with these people????? I used to LOVE UPS and swear by their awesome service. Why in the hell would you change the delivery address for a package without contacting the shipper or the customer first?! I ordered some things from Sephora to my current address. After receiving confirmation that my package was delivered, I was pissed to find out that it was delivered to an old address. I managed to get my package, but when I looked at the shipping label on the box, the correct label from Sephora was covered up by UPS's label that had the wrong address. WTF?! To top it off, the same thing happened to my boyfriend last week. He was waiting for refinancing docs to be overnighted and Chase sent it through UPS. Well, instead of delivering it our address, UPS changed the address label to his old address. Luckily, the landlord called him right away. When my boyfriend called UPS, they said that the address wasn't on file in their system. So they didn't even attempt to deliver to our address, they just changed it to whatever address willy nilly and couldn't understand why we are so upset. I don't care what address is in your shit system. My address is the same as what's listed with the Clerk & Recorder's office, the DMV, and voter registration. Getting a postcard in the mail from UPS saying "Sorry we missed you" is like getting a notice for jury duty. No, it's worse than that. It's almost as bad as getting the black spot (remember that from Treasure Island?) So here's what happens, when that happens. You drive way the hell out to the ever sketchy Commerce City to their customer center. You go inside, wait for 10 minutes, then hand them your postcard. Now comes the best part--they have to have someone drive to their warehouse which is apparently 15 minutes away, spend the time finding it, and then drive back...so you get to wait AT LEAST 25 minutes! So just to recap, you have a postcard that says "Bring this here and we'll have it for you." What that should read is "Come wait for probably 45 minutes because we have the lamest set up ever" I'll admit the staff is pretty nice, but that doesn't save this being an abysmal experience. Ugh. The package arrived at the Commerce City location on 12/21/11 at 11:00 AM. It is now 3:30 PM 12/24/11 and I was advised earlier that the package cannot be delivered until 12/27/11 at the earliest due to weather conditions beyond their control. It did snow here at 7:00 PM 12/21/11. The main roads have been clear since noon 12/22/11 and completely dry since 12/23/11. When the facility was called, they related that it was not possible to pick up the package at the Commerce City location due emergency conditions beyond their control. The supervisor related that the package was to be deliverd 3 times but that it returned to the facility 3 times due to emergencies beyond their contol. The supervisor said that it was not possible to give the number or speak with anyone else in the entire copany to complain about the situation to. It will be Fed Ex from now on. read more

It's not often that I would be compelled to write a review and give 5 stars to a delivery company, but I really have to give props to UPS for helping me retrieve a package last week. I get tons of boxes delivered to my apartment on a regular basis, and on days I'm expecting a delivery sometimes I literally wait by the door...I've learned that if I don't sprint out of the door within 60 seconds, sometimes I can't get down to the entrance of my building before they leave. They will totally accept a handwritten and signed note to leave a package (which I appreciate), but last Friday their customer service totally took the cake. I missed my delivery because I was in the shower, and immediately called their 800 number to see about redelivery. They said I'd have to drive out to their Commerce City location (which isn't that far, but it just sounds heinously far away) in the evening, or they could contact my driver and I could meet up with him somewhere. Dude, within 20 minutes they called me back and told me which cross-streets would be the best bet for meeting my driver, Dave (who has seen me in my pj's with bed head more times than I would like to admit.) So I was able to get my package without the extra hassle. Thanks UPS and Dave. You guys rock! Note: sometimes they will even carry all my heavy boxes up to my apt for me. Thanks! read more

It was also their first attempt, when by their own policies they are supposed to make THREE attempts before returning package to shipment center. Also, didn't leave ANY info re: pickup at ship center, no address, no instructions, not even notice that it would be at the ship center. I had to call ups to even know that I could pick up, I was initially left believing they were going to return to sender.... Also didn't note that it was two packages or who the senders were. They didn't check the box saying it was at a pickup center, just that it was a final attempt delivery. Then I show up at the customer center, & the boxes are in the wharehouse so I have to wait 20 minutes for my packages. COMPLETE BS. read more

Whoever delivers to my address (Congress Park, Denver, CO) gives terrible service. A couple of years ago, s/he tossed a package over my fence, but into the dog run, full of dog poop. I did have a sign to put packages in the yard, but one half of the yard had no gate, just a solid chain fence (and dog poop), while the other half had a gate, and grass. I made the sign clearer, with an arrow towards the correct side of the yard. The next time, I was able to run out and catch the guy as he drove away. He was defiant and unapologetic about tossing a package in the dog run, and drove away. Today I was receiving a very important item, new credit cards, that could be stolen and abused. It was a signature-required item. All day I waited right by the door, with the inner door open so anyone could see I was there. Nothing, all day. So I went to the site and tracked the item. It had been delivered to "on the porch", hours earlier. That was a lie. It was in the yard. No one ever rang my bell. S/he just tossed it in my yard and drove off, without even ringing the bell. Remember that this was a signature-required item. This is really terrible service. I can not even find a phone number to a person to speak to about this. I am retired, and at home a LOT. No UPS person has ever rung my bell; all have just tossed the item over the fence. No, once, someone rang and drove away in the fifteen seconds it took me to get to the door. They need a lot of work in delivery-person professionalism and courtesy. I only use them to return products (pre-paid by the vendor), and the like. All of those recipients are companies, with facilities and staff to receive packages. Easy for UPS. But when anyone sends something to me, the delivery is terrible. read more

This is a great store... Unfortunately, UPS runs their business like a bunch of drunks who use a dartboard to make decisions. It is ridiculous that when you try to call the location, you get some idiot in a call center who refuses to transfer you to the location with the bold-faced lie that "they don't have access to the store's phone numbers." I wouldn't have to call if their website wasn't borderline unusable. I'm sure you would get less calls if you would just nut up and pay a web designer that's worth a lick. Cut to I call them and the woman there says that an attempt at delivery was made yesterday but nobody was home... I live in a fairly small apartment and we were home all day. UPS... that's about five strikes. I am going to start demanding alternate shipping methods from the merchants I buy from or let them know that I will buy elsewhere. These people are terrible and don't care about anyone at all. On Thursday a time sensitive document was ordered to be delivered Friday. As soon as notification went out I saw that there was a wrong number in address. Within 30 minutes I call the customer service and fix it. Then I proceed to ask if that will effect delivery as it is a time sensitive document and I am told no. Initial delivery was supposed to be at 10:30 am Friday. At noon on Friday no delivery was made so I made another call to customer service. They said within an hour a representative from facility will call me. 3 hours later no call. I call again and they apologize and say within an hour someone will call. No call until 830 pm even though I told hem it was a time sensitive package containing a check that was needed for my kids to eat. We fell on some hard times last few months. At 830 pm the representative from facility calls and tells me that the package will not be delivered today even though an overnight service is paid for. He tells me it will be delivered by 1130 next morning since my bank closes at 1200 the following day. He said if due to whatever reason anything happens he will personally call me and notify me. I look on the website and delivery now says noon Saturday. Noon rolls around my bank closes and still no package and no call. I call again and they said someone will call back within an hour. No call. I read that packages can take up to 8pm to be delivered. 8pm rolls around no package even though the web page still says out for delivery. No package was delivered at night. In the morning the status changes to in transit and I call customer service and they say that facility is closed on Sunday. It is 3 days after a kid overnight delivery to deliver a check so my family can eat and still no check. Mind you facility is 16 miles from my home and I gladly would have went and got the package if someone told me it could not be delivered Saturday.now they are lying and saying no driver was available yet it said the package was out in the truck for delivery. Shady shady company that has no accountability placed in its locations. This is not America. We do not treat people like this. How can this happen with no consequences? I am betrayed as a customer and UPS does nothing about it. It just blows my mind and. Rings me to tears of frustration. read more

Too big to not fail. This is a one star too many. I will apologize ahead of time for this one. 5 star reviews are what makes Yelp fun, but these need to be written too. The management at the Customer Service Center may offer one of the worst experiences in all of Colorado. Their service is a blend of the Soup Nazi, a theater's teenage ticket tearer, and a BFE single pump gas station. The staff (manager included) literally sat within ear shot of me and the only other customer for an hour and joked about random topics like Bubonic Plague, "Supervisor Puppet Show," where the runner disappears to, etc... Here is what that hour looked like. I called ahead, and they said that my package would be ready for pickup. Upon arrival, I was 5th in line. I was informed that my package was in the main warehouse, that I just missed the runner, and that they would call him...so it would be 20 minutes. A few minutes into the wait, they said something happened in the communication and it would be 30 minutes. I left to find a restroom because there isn't one on site...not that you would want to even stand in one at this place (awfully dirty). The UPS 800 # help line, told me that a manager from that location would call me before 8pm....two weeks later, and I'm still waiting on that call. read more

I didn't realize this place is running on bankers hours when it's supposed to be one of the biggest courier services in the world. Even banks are open on Saturdays for a few hours. To the other commenters with 1 star, if you don't want to miss your package with signature requirement, just ask to have it shipped w/o confirmation and for shipper release. That way you won't have to visit the UPS facility for pickup. I've missed two packages with sig. confirmation and that is OK because i want to make sure my package arrives safely, and now I can retrieve it on my own time instead of waiting around. read more

We sent a package from Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Lathrop, California on 12-16-2022 for "Next Day Delivery" and paid $111.10 to have it sent Overnight. The package got to Commerce City that night at 7:37 pm. The package was then supposed to go to the Denver Airport. The package never got processed at the Denver Airport. We found out and filed a lost package claim with UPS. UPS looked for 1 day and declared it not found. I asked 6 different people at UPS to please continue the search, that the property tax payment was in that envelope. The 6th guy finally told me they can and so he reissued the lost claim. The 5 people I spoke with at UPS were not helpful, were not English speakers and refused to help or let me speak with a supervisor. I finally got one supervisor, but then had to go over his head to another supervisor who finally agreed to reopen the search. USP used to be very helpful and find lost packages, but now they aren't. They sent their call center to an Asian island where English is not spoken much. So, I told the guy that I'll never send anything UPS again. I will advise all of my clients to not use UPS either. We depend on them to do what they say they will. When they don't, they are in breach of their fiduciary duty. Use Fed X instead!!!!! read more

Well...I've been waiting 30 minutes for a package that wasn't delivered to my office today as promised. Since I've been here 3 people have come in and left with no package after the craziest list of excuses which all sound like careless human error. We have a frustrated concert goer with no tickets (so sad) guy who is "fu%#*¥" now that they didn't deliver his package as instructed, delivered to neighboring office that's closed for the weekend and a lady who was waiting when I got here and discovered her package was missing and would be a minimum of another hour delayed. I was told 15 min about 30 min ago. Not efficient. And there are 4 people working at this one desk!!! How many people does it really take to be so inefficient?
