Very unprofessional behaviour and unbelievable parking to deliver a package by the driver on Amaranth Cres in Dartmouth NS this afternoon at 2:19 pm. Also No phone number to speak to an actual person to make a complaint. This driver needs some serious training on how to make deliveries. You do not stop in the MIDDLE of the street to deliver a package BESIDE a parked car so no cars can get around you. You need to pull over to the side of the road - behind a car - not beside it. Nor should the driver be telling a customer "that you haven't gotten laid in awhile" or making cat sounds either in reply to the customer telling you to move over from the middle of the road. I ordered my product on May 1 and it arrived in Dartmouth on May 5. It is now May 8th and my order is still sitting in the depot because customer service is claiming that they are so busy they haven't been able to deliver to me. Now they're website is claiming there is an exception on my delivery despite customer service saying they would put priority on my package. I have heard that they send packages back to the shipper after five days so it will be interesting to see what next Tuesday brings. This is pathetic for a shipping company. I will never use these people again. Also their hours are absolutely ridiculous. My husband works 7:30-5 and I am home with a toddler unable to even attempt to pick up my package due to corona virus restrictions. Poor service. I've never left an online review for ANYTHING before but this UPS has driven me over the edge. USE ANYTHING ELSE. I order goods from China on a regular basis and they sadly use UPS to ship, even though I have asked them to send via ANYTHING else. UPS gives an update on the tracking and 1-2 days before asks for payment of customs and duty fees. I call the 1800 number so I can get a confirmation right away and make sure they have the right address and check up on everything. During the day of delivery, no matter what I do, and no matter what address I use (I've tried multiple addresses to see if the solution was able to be fixed in a different area), they will say delivery attempted and unable to collect their customs fees. Which I have paid via their 1800 number. I call them the moment that this happens and they look at their systems, to which I end up being correct. They say that the package is being redirected and will be delivered later that day. Every time, this fails. They try the same thing the next day. 2-3 more days of the same garbage. Call and confirm I've paid. They say its paid. They attempt delivery. Say no fees have been collected. Threaten to send back to sender. I have emailed them screenshots of the credit card confirmation, read back their own confirmation numbers they've given me. EVERY time I ended up being correct. They will promise delivery and I literally will make them say "I promise it will be here today". To no avail. It does not work. They do whatever they damn well please. This has happened...ready for it.... 18 different times in the past 5 months! I've started an Excel spreadsheet to track all the times I've called, got their employee numbers, the call log number, everything. Every time they will fail. I ask for no special instructions, delivered to only residential addresses. I've lost it with them on the phone dozens of times. BUT, know what I found works!? FOLLOW THE UPS TRUCKS BACK TO THEIR DEPOT on Simmonds Road. I literally have phoned them and said I am following a truck and will do so until they give me my package. I end up at the Distribution Centre and stay on the phone with the agents, who advise me to not do this. I make it very clear I am in no way threatening them but am receiving my package that I have PAID FOR. I've done this twice now. BOTH times, someone in the staff entrance comes out, apologizes, says the package never even left the distribution centre and the tracking numbers were useless. This is the WORST excuse for a company ever. I've cried so many times begging them to fix this. The address has been right every time. There's no special instructions. The fees are paid (sometimes twice so I think it will help!). Truly. Fuck you guys. I hate you. With a passion. I would gladly pay DOUBLE the entire package value to NEVER deal with UPS Dartmouth again. There is no cost worth what they put you through. read more

My real rating is 0 stars but it seems that isn't an option. The hell I went through to get a package from the US defies my ability to communicate without writing a full on warning manual. Some highlights: -didn't bother to knock or ring doorbell when they delivered package (I was home and poised to receive the package) - the tag did not give clear directions as to what our next steps should be. -Despite daily phone calls to multiple UPS service agents (every single one gave a completely different story as to what happened to the package- including that it had been sent back to the States - which it hadn't) , they did not make attempt at re-delivering the package. -one manager who promised to contact me first thing the next morning (2 weeks later) failed to do so and gave me a fake extension # so I couldn't reach her and had to tell my tale yet again to another worker. -tried to charge me $70 to pick up my package - I insisted they put that charge back on my visa after what they put me through. They promised it would go back on my visa within two weeks but - guess what- they did NOT honour their promise. -after 2 urgent messages from management to the Dartmouth warehouse to call me immediately re my package, they did NOT call me as instructed by management. The hell went on and on for 2 weeks until received my package. My husband watched what I was put through with his jaw wide open in disbelief. The final manager person was helpful and found a way to pick it up. She was the only person who I felt actually cared enough to help me and see it through. read more

Okay so people don't understand the way the world works with shipping, When you order throngs over borders ups has no say in the border fee which you are charged which ups covers for you untill you pay them the amount so your package is there so you are not held up waiting which you would have your panties in a twist about as well. My experience with ups was amazing o use them very frequently through work and personal and have never had a complaint My package was late but the heavy rainfall played a part and I was refunded the extra cost for speedy delivery read more

This review is based on my experience with being charged a $45 brokerage fee on an item just over $100. I'd give them a 2.5 if I could since they did help at times but overall they make it far easier to pay the fee than to self clear of course. Pros: person at their 1800 number was very helpful in telling me how to self clear my parcel, the woman at 100 Simmons was also very helpful at pickup Cons: $45 brokerage fee for them to clear customs for me without my permission, no information from the driver re: my options, multiple hoops to jump through to send the customs doc (B15) to them rather than just showing it at the warehouse as soon as I'd got it - had to wait for it to circulate internally first before they'd release the parcel To self clear you : 1. asap, get the UPS tracking number from the company you ordered from 2. call UPS with that number and get them to email you the shipping invoice 3. take the invoice to local customs office (1583 Hollis Street), pay duty and get the B15 form (likely less than 1/4 of the brokerage fee) 4. after getting a call from UPS with instructions on where to send, email/fax a copy of the B15 5. if you're quick enough it could arrive in your city with the charge already cleared so they'll deliver or drop at a UPS store, if not wait a day or two for the brokerage COD charge on your parcel to clear and go to their warehouse to pickup your parcel (don't pay the COD charge, once you do you'll likely never see it again) read more

I purchased a waterproof phone case from Amazon, and it was supposed to be delivered yesterday. I checked the tracking number and it says it was available for pick up in Dartmouth, I'm on the Herring Cove road, and I'm not traveling that far just because they didn't want to deliver it properly. They said that I wasn't home, so they had to drop it off at Simmonds Drive. I was home, they just didn't want to bother. "Special delivery arrangement requested by customer, which may delay shipment" I never talked to them about shit all. Thank you to your Lacewood depot (which isn't on Yelp) for not notifying me that my babies car seat had arrived ! Instead they held it for two weeks with no notification and sent it back to Ontario . Absolutely trash. I honestly don't know what the delivery drivers actually do, apparently just ride around in a truck all day and never get out? I sit at home awaiting a very important birthday gift only to not receive anything, no call, no notice, but it says delivery attempted online? Call and they say they will deliver it tomorrow! Perfect, oh wait, nope... still don't deliver it and bring it to the store for pickup. Don't ever use this service, honestly just put your parcels on a piece of wood and maybe a bit of scotch tape and send it out to sea. You will have a better chance of getting it on time as well! The sign over the door says "Customer Centre" but this UPS outlet really has no customer focus at all. It's hours are 5 pm to 7 pm Monday to Friday. That's it. I missed a delivery that could only go to my house (for reasons inexplicable to me) because I like most people work for a living. I wasn't permitted to re-direct to my work address. So, the only choice was to pick up the delivery at the Outlet. When I learned of the hours I figured I must have made a mistake or misread. I reached out to UPS online and was curtly told "I am very sorry for the lack of alternative [delivery or pickup] options." This is a DELIVERY company. I also would give - stars is possible. I ordered an item from Costco-paid for it -tracked it and waited...tracking said it would come on October 8-perfect. I stayed home all day---no sign of them at 8PM at night-checked the tracker to find that they claimed to have made an attempt to deliver at 7:40-METHINKS NOT!!! How can you deliver to a condo without touching the doorbell????? I called to ask about this and was told it would be on the truck the next day-not perfect as I cannot be home-so I arrange for the Super to take the delivery . I am assured this will be remedied...Me THINKS NOT...final attempt will be today-they still have not delivered the item-so no more shopping from Costco using OOPS aka UPS. I would give them no stars if I could. My husband ordered my Christmas gift(s) from a good company in the US - paid extra for UPS 3day delivery and it came as promised on Tuesday the 17th but we were not home. The paper left said to call to rearrange delivery or they would try again but send it back if not timely delivered. My husband called when we got the notice that Tuesday and said to leave it at their depot in Burnside. It would be there for sure by Thursday. We dropped by Thursday after work. After almost 1/2 hour my husband was told it was still on the truck....what!!!! OK we will come back tomorrow. Again repeated only this time 40mins wait to be told it is still on the truck. WTH!!!! Are they just stupid? So they are not opened on the weekend - another WTH!!! It's Christmas and although I would not like to be working at this time of year this type of service should be. So he calls their main Customer Service line on Saturday to be told - yes it is still on the truck....it may come off on Monday or not. Does anyone know Christmas is Wed and the last work day is 1/2 day on Tuesday for most....so I guess no gift. How in this day with electronic tracking this guy doesn't know to take it off the truck - and how can they not know the driver and pick up the phone and call him????I'd never buy (and I buy quite a bit over the Internet) from anyone that used UPS. read more

Brutal. Their driver decided to just not leave my package (despite me signing that it was ok to leave it in my porch). Not address left as to where my package was going. Turns out it is taken waaay out of this city to this location - 19km each way (so 1 hour 15 min each way on the bus if you aren't a driver!). When I asked if they could at least bring it to a drop off point somewhere in the city - the answer was no. But it gets better, they can bring it back into the city again for me, but I'll have to pay them. Operator on the phone cut me off mid sentence. Wow - avoid UPS if you can. Don't use UPS! The only reason I give them 1 star is so that I can voice my displeasure. Unfortunately the company I do business with is losing a customer, because they use them. I gave instructions on delivery which were ignored. When I was tracking my package on line it displayed 2 failed delivery attempts, which is BS because I was home the entire time on these days. When the driver finally arrived, he would not accept any form of payment other than credit card. But the outlet does accept other forms of payment. So, now I have to go out of my way to go pick it up (which the driver said would be available to me, this morning anytime after 8am). They are closed between 1 and 3pm, close at 7pm and are not open on weekends. I can't find a local number and the toll free number told me my package wouldn't be available till monday. I was at first extremely impressed when I saw that the eBay seller planned to use the 1 week ups service. But once I realized how much BULLS#$% there was involved with dealing with ups I quickly changed to extremely pissed! They nailed me with a customs fee with no telling me or notifying me prior to. When I contacted them to try to catch the package from getting to sent to my home in Porters lake, but rather have it sent right around the corner from the Burnside warehouse, they told me they couldn't do that and had to drive it to my house where I had said several times no one would be available. They told me they had to make an attempt before they could re-route it. I called back after the first attempt was made, the 18-00 rep tells me that they will charge another 6.00 for delivering it right around the corner from where the warehouse is located. I then told them to forget it and that I would pick it up in person, and then upon doing so, they took 1.5 hours to locate it, and then another 35 mins of fighting because i moved and the address on my license didn't match the one on the package!!!
