In my current situation, as I am living in my minivan, the support I receive here is life-changing. But beyond the resources, the real heart of this place is Nancy. She is a Godsend. She doesn't just see a person in need; she sees me. She is a true friend in God and an example of His love--I see God's image in her every time we speak. She encourages me and prays with me, and her words of wisdom stay with me long after I leave. She has this beautiful, positive, motherly energy that makes me feel seen, valued, and comforted. Sometimes she even makes me cry because she provides the guidance and care I've always longed for--the kind of motherly advice I wish I'd had. Today's visit especially made a huge, huge difference in my life; the way she loved me today felt like the way a mother truly loves her child, or like the way our Father in heaven loves His children. I felt so bad for the gal working because they also hassled her for bags (nice reusable bags) much larger than their purchase required. People. This is a THRIFT STORE (not a swap meet or garage sale) where the profits go towards animal rescues. Do not do this. Pay the EXTREMELY fair prices or go somewhere else. It was SO tacky but the gal working handled it with grace. The positive here is I have a ton of reusable bags sitting in the garage that will now be brought here so they have plenty for peoples purchases. :) This is such an adorable little thrift store. It's clean and has some really fun items. Parking on the weekend wasn't bad either. I have been looking for a pair of over the knee boots. I found the perfect pair here and they were only $10! Pricing is extremely fair. Items are clean and in good shape. I am putting together my next bag of donations for this cute shop. I'm always on the hunt for things I could use for camping. No luck with camping things, but even though I said I was done shopping for 60's, 70's theme for an upcoming event, I'm still buying things when I find something cute! So my purchase during this visit was a cute necklace, which I found to be a good price, $7. Customer service is very friendly and welcoming. We were immediately greeted by two sweet gals, one named Carol, who were very kind and welcoming. The second sweet sales girl helped select other dresses that may suit my daughter's color palette and body type, which really helped in the decision making. Unfortunately my daughter was a bit set on finding a nice yellow tone for the big day, and the closest gown that came to it in her size was in a muted gold that really didn't suit her style. In the future we will definitely consider coming here again as you really can't beat the service we received while here. This store is the sister store to La Tienda Thrift one building over. As you enter the store you will find clothing racks lined on each side. On top of the racks shoes are displaced on top. I bypassed the clothing so I forgot to check the pricing of the merchandise. I headed downstairs where you will find furniture, houseware, books and some radio, speakers etc... I was looking for some glassware to use for water storage when I do my watercolors. But, instead I found some small red/orange bowls I will keep in my camping trailer along with a nice medium size mixing/serving bowl. That will stay in my trailer as well. The price for those items were extremely reasonable! $1 for the small crate and barrel bowl and $3 for the mixing/serving bowl! I noticed that in thrift stores we visited the houseware were very economical! The service was very friendly and welcoming. Parking is a big issue down this entire street. Some of street parking has a two hour time limit. Some of the business don't have their own designated parking.

Pictures will verify this! Looking at some of the prices, I was surprised to see hundred dollar items, that should be (in my opinion) half of what they're asking. Many thrift shops have discount days, or colored price tags, for special special days where things are discounted. Sometimes there are dates on the pricing, and at the end of the month things are majorly reduced. I didn't find anything signage wise that indicated that the prices may change. Finally, after 15 minutes, the gentleman that also seems to be monitoring the door that's facing the register, acknowledged me. But he didn't ask if I'm looking for anything in particular. I usually appreciate it when they do because I did have some things in mind such as a vintage rain lamp, (it's an item from the 70s that one would put mineral oil in it and it would look like droplets of rain falling down) Haven't seen one for sale in a while.
