They do have a wall of a few Louis Vuitton $1200-$1500, Chanel saddlebag, YSL clutches $999, Dior shoes. I can buy a brand new YSL clutch for about $1009 or $700 on postmark. The LV fringe bag can be found for about $1000 other places. If you want to pay above market prices go ahead. They do layaway if that helps. Was in the Paso area this weekend for a wedding and came underprepared for the cool evening weather! I found this shop when I was searching for a breakfast spot (we ended up down the street at the Kitchenette), hoping to buy a jacket in the nick of time. Amazingly, I walked in and immediately my eyes were drawn to the rack of creams, tans and browns - colors that would all match my dark cerulean floral dress. I pulled out the first item that appealed to me and low and behold, it fit perfectly! It was a little pricey at $100, but truly a steal for the Nordstrom brand and suede fabric - definitely a timeless piece. The woman who helped me was very kind, and even entered me into a raffle for a gift card (despite me not living in the area). Right now they have a lot of summer sale items, and 30% off their back racks. The store isn't large, but they have a robust selection of dresses, sweaters and jackets, boots, bags and more. I love to shop second-hand and would be a regular if I lived in the area. I have to mention - I got SO many compliments on my new jacket! The store is well-stocked with both affordable new clothes and high-quality consignment pieces. They often offer 30% discounts on the tagged price (check to see which tag type is on sale on the day you visit). Keep in mind their consignment pieces are gently used, well-made clothes, so they are not cheap/inexpensive but much more affordable than buying new. Upscale Resale is my VERY favorite clothing store when I visit Paso Robles to wine taste. They carry a line of locally made "Vine Street" designer clothing made in nearby Nipomo. They have a great selection of new and gently used top name brands as well- clothing, shoes, jewelry and purses. I always find something for myself and bring back gifts for friends as new items constantly arrive but sell fast. The owner is very accommodating and offers you wine while you browse the racks. After my favorite consignment store Reborn closed for good, I started coming here to Upscale Resale...what a great little shop! I have found so many wonderful outfits here, especially sundresses. It pays for them to be so finicky about what they consign, as I'm always impressed with the quality. The pieces that I've purchased here years ago, after numerous wearings, still look fantastic. It almost feels like cheating, especially when I recall what I paid for each item. I have consigned a few pieces here myself, and thought the prices were very fair. I usually put my money towards store credit, since I so often come across a dress here that makes my body look like a weapon. Ha! ;) When they first opened they did take jewelry on consignment, which I loved!! They no longer do this, selling jewelry by local designers instead. I really wish that they would bring this part of their consignment stock back. That is my only complaint, however. The ladies who run the shop are always very friendly and welcoming. read more
