All they ever really cared about was collecting money and avoiding repair and maintenance calls or emails till they couldn't dodge the issue. Last year when I was relocating from Los Angeles to Minneapolis I only had two days to find an apartment. I was being rejected from all of them because I didn't have a 730 credit score due to some student loans and medical bills. When I was about to give up and go back to Cali I got a call from Tom Stutsman wondering if I was still looking for an apartment? I told him "yes!I was", but I told him my credit is a work in progress and not high... He said let me guess "Student Loans and Medical Bills"?I said "Yes"! and he told me he didn't care about that stuff and as long as I'm a nice person that's all he looks for... next day I looked at the apartment. I ended up dropping the deposit the next day and had the lease signed before I Flew back to Los Angeles. It all happened so fast and easy. Tom even had the lights turned on for me in my name when I arrived. Any time I had a repair issue, even emailing him late at night they would be taking care of it first thing in the morning. Mid-way through my search I pivoted from wanting a condo to exploring a single family home and Austen eagerly pivoted with me showing me three properties the following morning. Fulton Realty is an untrustworthy company from the top down. They will take advantage of you as a…read morebuyer if given the opportunity. I worked with Nicole Battle as my realtor. She showed me one house that she highly recommended as her coworker was the person who renovated it and was selling it. It turns out it was a flip, and Shelbie Walsh did the renovations herself with the help of a handyman. It must have been Shelbie Walsh's first flip because nothing was done correctly. Throughout the buying process, Nicole Battle strongly encouraged me not to get an inspection because she was confident Shelbie Walsh did a great job rehabbing the house. I trusted Nicole Battle and Fulton Realty and felt that since they all worked together, they had my best interest in mind and understood that I was looking for an investment property to grow my portfolio. Nicole Battle and I never had a meeting to review the paperwork; I had to do this myself as an inexperienced buyer. After I closed, I noticed countless things wrong with the house. Shelbie Walsh did not install lighting fixtures and appliances correctly. Electrical hazards were apparent throughout the house and basement. The first-floor bathroom flooded within the first week. Floorboards were missing; there were defects in the ceiling and drywall. They lied about the number of bedrooms as one area was a passthrough and should not be counted as a bedroom. I could go on ... After living in the house for the first week, I realized I needed to get a post-sale inspection. The post-sale inspection raised additional issues that I was unaware of. The inspector raised 12 urgent issues I needed to resolve ASAP. Shelbie Walsh lied on the documents and stated things like an air conditioner would be left in the house, but it never was. All appliances were expected to be in working order, but the drying machine never worked. I raised these concerns to Fulton Realty and its owner Eric Eickhof (I believe he and Shelbie Walsh worked together on the seller's end as he was listed as representing the seller on Zillow). Eric Eickhof and Nicole Battle came by the house to have a look, and Eric Eickhof berated me after the meeting and told me they would not help resolve any of the issues raised. I called an appliance repair specialist. When they took apart the dryer, they were shocked to see that all of the wires were burnt and recommended that I purchase a new machine. This is just one example; I had to repair multiple appliances throughout the house. As a buyer, I expected to receive representation, but the team at Fulton worked together to put me in the worst possible position by not disclosing important information and encouraging me not to seek an inspection. I would not have purchased the house if I had the information provided in the inspection in advance of closing. Simply put, I overpaid for the house and had to spend tens of thousands of dollars resolving defects and buying new appliances. Besides the financial impact, my mental health plummeted while living in the house. My quality of life and outlook was bleak. Fortunately, I was able to sell the house 11 months later. I'm not sure if it's a lack of experience, negligence, or incompetence, but Fulton Realty is not a company I recommend trusting with one of the most important decisions you'll make.

Moved in nothing was fixed from the walk through I did with them. They wanted 2.5 weeks to fix up the house and nothing was fixed. They didn't even have keys for us made. I had to go make my own and took 2 months to get that money back. Washer was broken and took 3 months to get a new one in. Then the installation was crappy and it leaked. I sent in numerous requests for the house to get fixed. And to the day many of them never got fixed. We had bugs in the house and they never fixed it. Outlets with no power, broken doors and windows, lights never working, they never provided us with the furnace filters or other items they said they would provide. In the end my deposit plus my pet deposit was 2300. I got 400 back. They charged me 700 for the previous tenants bad paint job. 300 for the lawn not being mowed, 300 for items left by all tenants before us. They charged us for broken items that were broken when we moved in and when I demanded a little money back they would not give me a cent. Honestly I would never rent from them again. They don't communicate nor get things done for you. And then they steal your money. They are a dishonest company. No one short have to put up with that.

We continued to look endlessly until we finally found the home we bought in August and closed in early September. Travis has excellent knowledge of the Real Estate in the area and a great deal of knowledge of what is a small problem or a large problem with a house. As first time home buyers, my husband and I really enjoyed working with Travis and RE/MAX. If/When the time comes again, I'm sure we will return.
