I have been going to Park Place Veterinary Hospital for approximately 8 years and have received the…read morebast care for all of my animals. we recently took in 2 kittens and a momma cat. The momma cat ran away. Momma cat had an appointment today 1/28 and we forgot to cancel. My husband received a call from the Vet stating we needed to pay for the visit and going forward we would have to prepay for all appointments. Apparently, there is a policy that exists. Clients are only made aware of this when they miss an appointment. This gives the practice manager the ability to enforce the policy whenever they feel free to do so. Usually, we receive an email and a call stating that we have an appointment for the animals a day or 2 in advance. According to my husband neither of these reminders happened. i have spent thousands of dollars for my pets with this office and in the end they told me that I needed to take care elsewhere. I am a little disappointed with the way the practice manager handled the situation. I think the vet and the vet techs and the reception are amazing. However, if a policy exists it should be shared with clients when they establish care. Or it could be attached to the email when they send reminder calls. I believes this is an excellent, comprehensive, compassionate place for the animals. If I were to rate this based on today´s experience it would not be good. I do feel that if there are rules they should be shared with the customers. The practice manager should fix her process to ensure everyone knows the rules. Practice managers are suppose to fix processes. unfortunately, I need to rate.

I adopted a rabbit..found a few flees not many. She was pregnant surprise!!! Anyhow babies looked great then about six weeks I noticed severe itching hair loss. At night after cleaning their enclosures I began to itch like crazy. Like something from a Syfy movie. I began to read everything I could about rabbits and zoonume decrease that humans could get. WOW I was surprised!!! I figured I probably had walking dander mites. They showed all the signs. It was horrible for me not to scratch for the secondary infections is the worse. Now I truly know what it's like for animals to have fleas or mites!! Long story short..brought one baby and the mother. Mother was supposably treated with revaluation and baby wasn't. Skin scrape came up negative. Often their is a falls negative if eggs haven't hatched again!! They treated me as if I were nuts. Not listening to me at all. Financial I couldn't afford all the rabbits and stayed I need a weight on the baby and the mother so I could treat them myself..more cost affective and I've done research hrs of feeding a speeking to rabbit savy people and I. Line vets. I never got the weights kinda brushed that off.. I was disgusted tired and well believe me...this takes the cake folks,,!!! Ready for this one??? When I arrived the man that was checking us in announced "I'm sorry we are just waiting for our doctor to arrive, should only be a few more minutes!"....mind you this is about ten mins after the clinic hours are posted as open. The doctor finally arrives and now it's our turn to bring my cat to the examination table for shots and the doctor was extremely rude from the first second I spoke to him. Did not care to ask me the cats name and just continuously called her a "him". Regardless..... they he starts to pull her out of the carrier and he whacks my cat on the back several times. Very rough and carelessly (my cat is very old so this alarms me). The doctor who then looks at her and states that she's severely overweight and needs to loose about 20lbs. I have a very specific breed of cat that are known to be very large in size and she's actually right in line with her weight range should be (20-25lbs). So I begin to tell him this exact statement and he cuts me off mid sentence and says "I'm a doctor, I would know". In fact if he actually took the time to realize what breed she was, since he didn't bother to care what her name was and applied some knowledge, he too would have known that she is actually right on target for her age and weight range. All I have to say is... if you are going to be this rude to customers of the vet clinic and work with animals please either find a new job that you enjoy or a personality with soft skills..... that will be the last time I use them. The whole experience was not pleasant and some of the worst customer service I've ever received especially from a person who works with animals. Unimpressed to say the least.
