I really liked: Mango Sweet and Spicy…read more Sweet and Spicy I liked: Korean BBQ Turkey The jerky here is super easy to eat. Not tough or overly chewy like some spots. It's tender and flavorful without feeling like you're fighting it the whole time. The Mango Sweet and Spicy is a little sweeter than the regular Sweet and Spicy, but still has that nice kick on the back end. If you like a bit more sweetness in your snack, that's the move. The regular Sweet and Spicy is balanced and solid all around. The Korean BBQ Turkey is really on the money flavor wise. Savory, slightly sweet, and super satisfying. Staff was great about offering samples and helping recommend different options to try, which made it easy to find what I liked. It is on the expensive side and you don't get a huge amount for the price, but it is tasty and high quality. It's a small shop inside of Eddie's World and is a no frills place.

EddieWorld is typically buzzing with road trippers, families, and Vegas bound drivers. Jedidiah's Jerky is located inside Eddie World on Interstate 15 at Yermo. It's a must visit if you like jerky. One of the team members helped us select a few different flavors. The Jerky that Jedidiah's has is made by hand. It offers many different types of meat and flavor options including Beef (Classic), Brisket (Classic), Turkey, Buffalo, Venison, Wild Boar. Most of these options will be available for purchase by weight or prepackaged and offer bold, sweet, spicy and savory options so there is something for everyone to enjoy. It's expensive, but worth it! All of the jerky was delicious and it lasted us several days. A lot of unique flavors to choose from and the store has so many creative options. The team member assist us during the evening was fantastic! This is a great spot to stop by if you're on the way to California or Las Vegas!

Jedidiah's Jerky - Crazy over charges on the ghost pepper beef jerky. The person working was slightly rude and seem irritated to be there. Annoying.

I had picked up a sheet with information on old Daggett from the Route 66 Museum in Barstow. Here's the short version. The original store burnt down in the Daggett fire of 1908. (the nearby buildings were also destroyed as well) But they rebuilt this place, and this became the first 'fire proof' building in the Mojave Desert. Fire proof due to the fact that the whole thing was re-built using a railroad carload of cement. (The roof too!) Back in the day, the place was one of few that exchanged gold dust and nuggets for cash that miners could spend. Later, in 1953, a safecracker got away with $1000.00 in gold dust and nuggets. But ya. Back over Columbus day weekend in 2017. I stopped in front of the place because it looked old. Then I read the paper and discovered it was actually old. Then I went in to buy a soda because it was kinda warm out. The guy behind the register was nice. The soda was cold. Boom. That's about how a convenience store run should be.

Upon entering the store the owner Joe made me feel comfortable with his warm greeting of welcome. For a small business they have good services and upon request will stock special items, such as favorite drinks or candy and snacks. You can rent a U-haul or car dolly. Pay your utility bill, send and receive money. Send small packages and even cash checks. So I suggest the next time your passing thru Daggett stop by Desert Market and say hello to Joe, Mic and Beckey. Dortha,

Nearly every visit has involved excessively long checkout lines, and the store always appears to be understaffed. It feels like customers' time simply isn't valued, with long waits becoming the norm instead of the exception. The customer service I've experienced has been some of the poorest I've encountered at any grocery store. I have often found employees to be dismissive, unfriendly, and unwilling to provide even basic assistance. Rather than feeling welcomed, I've frequently left feeling like customers are viewed as an inconvenience. In my experience, the management has done little to improve the situation. My interactions with the store manager have left me with the impression that customer concerns are not taken seriously. Instead of setting a positive example for the staff, I felt the overall attitude throughout the store reflected poor leadership and a lack of accountability. The condition and quality of products have also been disappointing. On one occasion, I purchased food that I believed was spoiled, which caused me to lose confidence in the store's quality control. After that experience, I found myself checking expiration dates and product freshness much more carefully before buying anything. Overall, this location feels disorganized, understaffed, and poorly managed. Grocery shopping shouldn't be a stressful experience, but that's exactly how I would describe shopping at this Vons. I sincerely hope the company invests in better staffing, improved management, and a stronger commitment to customer service and product quality, because this store falls far below the standard I expect from the Vons brand.
