Swung by this Walmart while waiting for my car to charge at the Electrify America station. The Walmart is pretty large, clean, and well-stocked. My friends and I ended up picking up some bananas here, which were pretty affordable. Tip: don't use the self-checkout line, and just go to one of the regular checkouts. They have people working those lines, and there were almost no lines! This Walmart also has a Burger King inside of it for people who want to get a quick fast food snack. Restrooms are clean and also well-maintained. Workers aren't the friendlist, but they get the job done. read more

I was staying at hotel off Lenwood and asked the front desk girl if there was a CVS nearby and she said no, closest thing was Walmart. I drove here to get a few things and it's probably 6 miles from where I was staying. This location is actually nice and clean inside. There's a grocery store and then the regular Walmart store. I was shocked to see they sold Reebok here as the display was nice. I don't believe there's a Target in Barstow so this is it! read more

I was looking for an item for a while, but soon a very nice Malmart worker, YaYa, was happy to assist me. This is the best Malmart ever.

This review is mainly for the deli at Walmart. We decided to have a small get together at our house to watch the football game. My husband goes to the Walmart deli to order chicken, potato wedges, chicken wings, and chicken strips... preparing to spend well over $100. He gets there at 2:40ish in the afternoon only to find old crusty food left in their deli. He politely asked a lady how long is the wait for some fresh chicken, chicken wings, chicken tenders, and potato wedges. The worker then tells my husband, " we're not cooking any food today"...WTH?? no Walmart deli food on a Saturday??! He didn't get the name of the lady that said she was not cooking any more food... but it was around 230-245pm on Saturday 12/27... absolutely ridiculous, especially since it is football season and mostly everyone is home and off work for the holidays... Yet another reason for me to absolutely hate Walmart! Maybe they should reevaluate some of their "policies" since Barstow is limited on resources !! read more

Pickup was excellent. The order was ready on time, the app check-in worked smoothly, and the associate brought everything out quickly and was friendly and professional. The manager shrugged, and turned back to her smoke break buddies. What happened to the days when employees took ownership of an issue brought to them ( by a supervisor, or member of the public)? I cannot remember how many times I've reached out to Walmart employees, asking for help but got the response, "I'm on break", or I just clocked out. How hard is it just to let a supervisor know. Went insde to get some groceries and pleasantly surprised by how clean and so are the bathrooms bathrooms. Presently surprised by the clean store and helpful workers. On our way to Vegas, our tire pressure sensor very quickly alerted to an issue and we began losing air pressure very quickly. We were fortunate enough to be close to the Walmart in Barstow and pulled in immediately. Steven, very quickly and courteously met us at the auto center and immediately began fixing our flat tire that had a very prominent nail in it. Largest Walmart I have ever shopped at. Feels like two Walmarts. The cosmetics aisle has their own cashier, I guess to prevent theft or for convenience. It's easy to get lost. I personally used the Walmart app to figure out where to go in the store by using the map that points to the exact location of the aisle you need to go to. Clean store. No issues checking out. Denice in Auto Center was my customer Service Specialist! As I began to explain to her about two separate issues. One was extremely frustrating of the service I had not received , yet paid for it at the Yucca Valley WalMart. She listened and understood exactly what me as a customer, had to deal with because another location like Yucca Valley had put me through. She felt the holdback out of my voice and felt the vibes of my frustration. I was cracking and breaking in my voice as if a Higher Power was holding my tongue back from going off on her. I explained that I travel and I take both of my vehicles to be serviced and buy all my tires from Walmart and get the warranty. Note: warranty Because it is with the investment over the long haul. She told me she needed to check a few things and brought out COACH - Robert Ingle. He saw Truth and Principle and ironed out all my wrinkles. I rate Candace a 5 and Sandra a 1. So on average my rating would be a 3. I went into Walmart today to get a few things and had to buy 1 thing in the cosmetics department. I asked Sandra for help finding the nail polish remover- not only did she not help me, but verbally told me the wrong area. I ended up finding it on my own. When I paid, I had ten other items. I asked if I could pay for those there, too. She told me no. There was nobody in line behind me and she wasn't helping anybody else. I asked her, "so I have to go get in line again just for a few things?" And she told me yes. I thought this was not only rude and lazy of her, but very poor customer service. I got in line again and Candace helped me. She was very kind and friendly and told me I actually COULD have paid for my items in cosmetics. I appreciated her good customer service. Hopefully Sandra can get better training and provide better customer service in the future. read more

I've been coming over to Walmart for several years often on and they've always had good products at the store. Also, the prices for these products was very reasonable. However, the customer service has been going down the last year. For example, they reduced the number of working registers. Also, I went to purchase a mattress that was locked up in a cabinet. I rang the alarm and waited 15 minutes for an employee to open the locked cabinet however, no one arrived. I had to contact a Walmart employee and have them unlocked the panel so I could obtain and purchase the mattress. While I do recommend Walmart one has to use patience when waiting in the checkout line. read more

It sounds like a movie. We went on a road trip in July. We had a tire blow out on the freeway. We were very lucky we weren't injured. AAA came to our aid about an hour and half later. Our temporary tire was installed. This was the first shop we went to, but that was unfruitful, because the store did not carry my size of tires. I am NOT a fan of Walmart or the Walmart culture, however, my father is a recent fan of their online grocery shopping service and socially distanced pick-up service. I support my father's desire to shop safely in our Covid-ravaged community. The pickup could not have been smoother. David verified who we were and loaded everything into the trunk. This Wal-Mart is TRASH. My mother had gift cards that she could not use because this store was a "high-theif" store and we could only upload the gift cards to the app, and on the printed out gift cards that we had It said it could be scanned in the store. The so called mangers, Elizabeth and Tie-dye Kesha were not helpful AT ALL!! And newsflash: ALL WALMARTS ARE HIGH THIEF STORES. My recommendation is go to a Wal-Mart in Victorville or somewhere where people know how to do their jobs. read more

11/25/2015: It took me 3 hours to get 2 tires. They put the tires on the front without asking what I wanted. Then they had me sign a piece of paper saying I had them put on the front, which is against the manufacturer's recommendation. The tires weren't filled up all the way, so I had to go back so they could fill them up. When I paid, I asked the lady behind the desk if I would get a promo if I used my Walmart card. Her response was, "Yes, you can use your Walmart card". I would go somewhere else, if you have another option. read more

I went inside to buy a electronics cord and there was three employees standing at the front talking. I walked out of the store because I didn't find anybody in the electronics division. I then remembered that I had to look for some shorts and went back inside. And I finally left not being able to find any shorts like I wanted in my size. Those same three employees were standing near the front entrance and still talking while ignoring the public. It is a shame that Barstow cannot have dedicated employees and a decent manager that can run there Walmart. read more

RUDE TO TRUCK DRIVERS. I can't belive how bad this walmart is against truckers. We are owner operators and pulled up to wamart to get grocery shopping done for the week. The security guard stated that we can park here for an hour but that's all she was giving us. While I was in shopping, The security guard took pictures of our truck and said she is going to call the tow truck. My husband was in the truck. So my husband. Did a Uturn and park 2 blocks away. Unfortunately I would have left if I knew what happen. So I pull the cart out and the cart lock came on We couldn't reach our truck with the food. If the guard would have let us stayed there and get our shopping done we would never have this problem. So this is how walmart going to treat truckers? This was a very nice clean and very friendly Walmart. Even if you tag along for the ride, you will still walk out the door with a bag in your hand. This a super Walmart, so you can just about everything in here. Groceries, hot prepared food, deli and vino. Patterns, yarn, bedding, grills, smokers, lawn furniture , oh and l mention wine. Lol It was morning and we came for an ice run. So we also picked up breakfast from Burger King. This was my first time seeing a Burger King in Walmart, l am used to seeing McDonald's, but BK fit the bill. Who am l to complain?. It was a nice and quick drive, 5 minutes from the house. I really liked the friendliness of the shoppers and everyone who worked there. Major plus in my book. read more

In line for self checkout. They were not sanitizing the stations in between customers. Only one clerk to manage 6 or 7 stations. Between helping people she had no time to sanitize at all. Then she lowers her mask and blows her nose into a nasty snot rag and proceeds to use touch screen to help customers!! read more

Went during the morning, and on a weekday. Easy parking access. Also Electrical car parking available, cool. Hand sanitizer and wipes made available at entrance. Shopping carts fully stacked and at the entrance for customers. Clean facility. Fully stocked shelves. I was able to find everything I needed and looked for. I would give them no stars at all, but wasn't given that choice. The last several times I've dealt with this store it's been nothing but problems. I went in a few weeks ago to get something and it was in a locked case. Fine, I hit the button for customer service and waited. And waited. And waited. Asked for customer service from an employee and was told only one person had the key and they couldn't help me. I went back and hit the customer service bell again and waited. Still nothing. Went back to the employee and asked for help again. Still nothing. By that time there were several other people waiting and none of us were happy. Someone finally showed up, but it took over 30 minutes. Then the cashier looked like she didn't want to be there and treated her customers poorly. Then last week I needed a prescription filled and was told that they needed to call my doctor, so it would be delayed. No problem, I thought, as my doctor is good about getting back to them immediately. Waited and kept checking back. No refills until they talked to my doctor, and they would call her and get back to me. This went on until I finally contacted the doctor myself and she sent them permission to refill. Even after that it was still a few days before I could pick it up. I went 2 days without my medication. Now we have today. I have Walmart+. I order my groceries online and have them delivered. I placed an order yesterday to come between 5:00 and 6:00PM. By the time 9:00 came I decided to have them delivered today instead between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM. 3:00 rolled around and no groceries. I checked online and they hadn't even started shopping for my order. I called several times to the store and to their customer service number and all I got was a runaround. The store employees don't bother answering the phone, so I called the pharmacy and told them I needed to speak to a manager. When I finally got her on the phone she was far less than helpful and transferred me to another department and, of course they didn't answer. I finally did get someone on the phone who cancelled my order, but told me the money won't be back on my card for 7 to 10 days. I cancelled Walmart+ and I will never shop there again. I hope that you will take my experience with them to heart and shop anywhere else. read more

Thank You Jesus for Barstow Team Walmart. The store was well stocked (Walmart also had TP & various paper products). The store & carts were clean & sanitized. The Management Team (Robert Jones & his Managers) were on the floor assisting their Customers & Team Members. Several times I observed (tearfully) young Team Members kindly & patiently assisting the Elderly. There were plenty of check out aisles opened with friendly & courteous Team Members to assist us. Worst experience I've ever had at a store. Everything is locked up, you have to try to get someone to unlock it, which takes forever. When I went to check out, there was a long line with only one register open. I asked a employee if they were going to open more registers, I was advised to go use the self checkout. I don't get paid to scan and bag my own items, it took 15 minutes to get through the line and have the cashier check me out, then they have the audacity to stop me and ask me for my receipt when I left. I refuse to shop at this store ever again. I'll gladly take my business elsewhere that is more convenient. Absolutely ridiculous store, rude staff. read more

I came to Walmart to get sour cream and wasp spray, it was my mission to just get those 2 items. Then I noticed other things on sale and I ended up spending $80. Good deals are hard to pass out. The manager and the rest of the staff chose the right places for these sale items. I did find some items without a price tag and the scanner on my app was not successful at getting price. In the condiment isle there was an employee putting away mustard on the shelves and she helped me get the right price. This store it's kept stocked, cleaned and organize. The employees at the self checkout are very attentive and ready to help and assist as the need may be. Everyone is very friendly and the person that checks your purchases against your receipt does her job well. I like coming to this store because it's an overall great experience when I shop here, I recommend this store for all your shopping needs. read more

I'm only putting 1 star because the clerk over charge me and tried calling requesting for the manager but very unsuccessful. The person that answered the phone was not polite at all nor sympathy given on the situation. Please check your receipt as an advice because this is not right at all. The clerk was nice but I don't understand what happened and why I was charge extra for things I didn't purchase or have in my cart.
